open[SOLVED] Movie with a Haunted House Ride. The Machinist (2004) Film
A fairly older movie (maybe late 90's?) but I remember the scene very well. A dad and his kid go on one of those haunted house rides where you sit in the two-person car and go down the track. The dad and kid are both having fun being playfully scared by the cheap ghosts, but it does the twist where the car goes down a different track and all the sights start to become grotesque and actually terrifying. The dad gets concerned about how real all of it looks, and the kid starts to freaks out a little bit. By the end, the kid completely passes out and the dad has to carry him out of it and tries to wake him up.
I think this was a fairly well-known movie too, but for the life of me I can't find a single thing about this big scene to pinpoint where it came from.
Edited by ChrisHamiltonopenShort films inspired by George Melies' work Film
In the late 80's or early 90's, my mother recorded an episode of something off Channel 2, the public station in Minnesota. It involved George Melies' films and the groundbreaking special-effects technology he used. Most of the commentary was in French, with a delayed English voice-over. Several of Melies' films were shown, including 'A trip to the Moon' and 'One-man band', but there were modern films made in tribute to his work as well. My favorite was one about the Devil trying to lure an older gentleman to Hell using the Seven Deadly Sins and mostly failing; the main music used was a brassy, loud classical piece that I simply cannot find the name of, but very fitting for the action. In the end, Satan caught the old guy with Lust, dragged him to Hell, and made some very tasty soup out of him. It was hilarious.
openfantasy kids film Film
There was this movie when i was a kid, i always thought it was part of the neverending story series but i cant seem to find it. there was this kid, i think he ran away from home one night and encountered this homeless guy sleeping on a bench who gave him some kind of magic apple thing that took the kid into this weird fantasy world. he met some other kid there nd went on adventures with him i remember there being this white unicorn and it turned out he was like, royalty there or something. and there was this fight at the end like the battle with ganondorf in ocarina of time where the bad guy was firing beams of light at him and he had to smack em back with his sword. been looking for it for years and nobody seems to be able to help
openMurder the Hypotenuse. Frame the Other Hypotenuse. Film
It was a film; on British television in the late 90s or early 2000s. It was about a woman who had a thing for her boss(?). Only he was married. And was having an affair with one of her co-workers. So she hatched a plan to murder the woman he was having an affair with and frame the wife.
openMovie or show with an afterlife theme Film
It's either a movie or a show I saw 15-20 years ago.
A man is floating around in a cavern with walls made of something like flesh. A ghost or spirit of a girl or woman beckons him to follow her, and he starts crawling through a narrow claustrophobic tunnel with the walls still made of something organic, perhaps flesh, perhaps tree roots. The man is suddenly jerked back and the camera follows him out of the cavern and comes out of the man's eye as he's being revived on a hospital bed.
That's the only scene I remember.

openDrama Movie Film
Hi guys, So, I saw this movie a long long time ago, somewhere in the middle to late 90's (maybe? I have realized I'm terrible at time). A few years ago I tried searching for it and even asked on another website and couldn't find anything. Now even more time has passed, and my memory of it is....vague, and probably with some of the details incorrect. It was a drama movie about a photographer who goes to visit her best friend/sister who is pregnant and also has a little girl. They are in a bedroom and the little girl is running around in just her panties, and they're are talking about the pregnancy, so the photographer takes pictures of the little girl and her mom, with the girl touching her pregnant belly or something. Then, I don't remember how,(maybe the person that develops the pictures?) but the police gets called and the photographer is accused of child pornography or being a pedophile or something and the rest of the movie is the trial. At the end she's acquitted. I saw in on TV, I have no idea if it was ever in the cinema, or if it went to VHS/DVD. Pretty sure (but I'm not 100%) that they spoke with an American accent. That's it. I don't remember any of the actresses or actors. If you have questions maybe it will jog something in my memory. I'm sure if I see it, I'll recognize it.
openKid Brawl? Film
I'm not sure how old the movie is, it was probably made in the early 2000's. I only saw like 2 minutes of it when I was young. What I saw was these kids (age 8-12) maybe fighting. Like an actual brawl. At one point blood actually splattered onto the screen. It wasn't in color but it wasn't in the old black and and white either, most likely a screen filter to make the scene have a different vibe to it. That's all I remember. Any help is greatly appreciated.
openBack in time to China to find immortality Film
I have vague memories of a movie involving your average American dude going to a Chinese shop or something. He touches something magical, gets transported to ancient China. Then they are trying to find something to do with immortality... sounds familiar to anyone?
openLooking for a film Film
A lady in a red dress in a pitch black room that disappears in one scene. A man and a woman on an alien ship going through different rooms. The man is lockpicking a door and a woman is next to him in another scene.
openEarly 2000's Horror Movie Film
I saw this film around 2005 or so. It was part of a horror movie series, and there was a lot gore and swearing. There were 8 people in a house, including this kid, and his dad wanted to find him before the house killed him.
openGlass bathroom short film Film
This was a short film circa 80s-90s that I think I saw as filler on HBO. In it, there's a dinner party somewhere in France, and this pretentious American lady goes on and on about how she loves it in France because everyone's so progressive, not like those backward, Puritanical Americans, etc. etc.
Then she excuses herself to use the bathroom, which is just a toilet with a big, transparent glass door. The rest of the short is just her trying to devise a way of using the bathroom without anyone seeing her, trying and failing to cover the glass. Meanwhile the dinner party goes on, and nobody pays any attention to what is going on right behind them.
Anyone else know this one?
opensilent film style Film
it's from the late 90's early 2000's and has a silent film style but i think with some slight color use. they are underground and there's this king and his daughter or princess and then there's the hero maybe some other women. anyhow they actually used the style of old films with this giant demon with props painted to be the different body parts moving about. i don't remember if they keep up the silence through the whole thing or not. very b styled film.
openEDUCATIONAL SHOWS I WATCHED AS A KID Film
I cannot remember the name of these two series and my friends believe I have lost it. The first one stars a person in a pink bunny costume and her brother, a blue bunny. The only episode I remember is the one where they learn the difference between whales, orcas, and dolphins. The other show is an animal education show where a green gekko/lizzard is taught by the narrator about nature. One episode, the lizzard thing gets mad at a sea turtle for "stealing air."
Please prove to me my childhood actually existed.
openSister's werewolf movie Film
My sister joined me to watch An American Werewolf in London, and for some reason, it reminded her of another movie. I don't remember it, but she does, and I want to figure it out for her. She mentions a few details: -The main character was a football-playing jock who became a werewolf. -The werewolf had a penchant for biting women on the butt. -He had a stalker, a woman with a crush.
Any help?
openLampshading Endless Ammo in Westerns Film
Ok, does anybody know the movie that a conversation after a shootout that goes something like this? :
Sidekick/bystander: "Nice work, you just killed 9 men with a 6-shooter" Hero: "I know, and I've still got 2 bullets left"
I cannot remember this one movie I watched as a kid! I grew up in Macedonia, so the movie (or tv show) could be from European origin, although my family is American so it could have been something we brought over. I remember an animated man running through something like a castle (though the background was filled with a bunch of vibrant colors and shapes). He was running from something maybe? I also vaguely remember piano keys that were shaped in a spiral, and maybe he was running down them? My memory of it makes it seem kind of odd and eccentric. Would love your help!
