In which we get updates from the lives of tropers. Kinda like Twitter with more than 140 characters, but less than a blog or LJ.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.

Greetings from Kinston, NC!
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300Nice! Enjoy!
You're not going to believe this. I was looking to have dinner at the pizza place near where I got caught in the flash flood last year, but when I got there, it turned out to be permanently closed.
I like to keep my audience riveted.Lot happening recently. Working as an apprentice under my dad in our new handyman business, plus it's my birthday tomorrow.
Or today, technically. Doesn't matter, don't celebrate it anyway. But it does remind me how quick the last few years have gone by. Is it just me?
Yeah, it's actually pretty good. We're mainly doing garden work right now, but we also do carpentry and interiors too.

borkHappy birthday! Is the job cool? I can imagine that at least parts of it could be interesting.
I wrote an actual letter to the producer of Dark Matter (2015), in order to join the gift/memorabilia giveaway.
I'm gonna laugh if I wind up with Three's vest.

"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisYou know what's worse than having hiccups? Having hiccups out in public, where there are no water fountains in sight, and lots of people can hear you. To make things worse, I don't know how it sounds to other people, but to me, I sound like a squealing pig when I hiccup.
I'm better now, but it was really embarrassing. Nobody called me out on it, but I'm sure a lot of people heard it. Now they probably think I'm weird... if they didn't already think so.

Still hoping for Klonoa to get a new game... or a movie like this
I spend too much time on tumblr. My first thought was, "Tag urself I'm Lan Caihe." I'm not much of a Hard-Drinking Party Girl anymore, but I have my moments, and there's a little part of me who still would get totally hammered and ride a celestial swan up to heaven.
Speaking of which, I had five alcoholic drinks last week and it felt excessive. This is great news. I'm trying for three or fewer drinks this week...and every week from here on out, unless it's a special occasion that involves me both drinking, and not driving. This is mostly for weight control reasons, though my health and my budget certainly won't be worse off for it.
I'll drink to that!
Been hounded by recruiters surprisingly much ever since I got a job. These people would've been helpful back when I was looking for one.
Just wrapped up my enviro midterm, and I'm also a bit nervous since I need to deal with my parents showing up tomorrow and probably judging my academics and the state of my dorm and junk. x3
Update for those interested in my (lack of a) love life.

Peace is the only battle worth waging. This was an excellent day: a good nap, a good dinner (and dessert), and a good thunderstorm.
I like to keep my audience riveted.Just ate some chips.
Aren't I the most riveting person in the world?
" I'm the princess! Everyone has to do what I say!"Had some dinner, recovered (mostly) from a horrifying bout of indigestion and I've been rereading Mort from Discworld.
Life is pretty good I'd say.
Even when your hope is gone, move along, move along just to make it throughI slept in for the first time in a long time, and it felt great. :)
I like to keep my audience riveted. My mom greenlit my plans to travel to Japan next year. According to her, the main reason why I am not allowed to travel this year is that my spending on music CDs during my trip last year is excessive and I'm wasn't travelling for sightseeing.
I wondered how she would react if she knows that I won't hold myself back like what I did last time.
I just completed a huge homework assignment that was due tomorrow!
Now I'm free... until tomorrow. And this week is going to be busier than usual for me...
Still hoping for Klonoa to get a new game... or a movie like thisAw nuts. My plans for my day off today (well, it used to be a day off) just got a monkey wrench thrown into them. :(
I went all the way to the Hollywood Palms movie theater in Naperville, Illinois to see the movie Happy Death Day, but when I got there, I found out that no thanks to those thunderstorms we had recently, the auditoriums got flooded. Not only that, the workers told me that they'd officially reopen at 4:00 P.M., but I can't go that because I got called in to work tonight.
Well at least I got a voucher for the next time I go and I had a nice lunch at a nearby Greek restaurant (even though it turned out to be the most expensive lunch I ever got ^_^;;), so the day wasn't a total loss.

I like to keep my audience riveted.Mental health day!!
I have a dentist appointment this morning, so I took the whole day off, thinking I could also schedule a doctor appointment. That didn't work, so I have pretty much the whole day to myself! :D
But, I took sick time. It's a mental health day. I feel bad taking mental health days without doing things to improve my mental wellness, so here's the plan: Exercise, healthy foods, dentist appointment, grocery shopping, cleaning, and school work. I'll do things to be physically healthy, and to reduce my worries. I will also take plenty of breaks while I'm doing those things, so I can play video games and draw.
I'm feeling better after a good night's sleep. :) Watching the Sailor Moon movie Fuel certainly helped.
Speaking of sleep, the nap I took today was better than yesterday's. :) Mostly because it was longer.

I like to keep my audience riveted. This morning, I was scared by my own reflection. In my defense, the room was dark, and it was a big mirror, so for a second, I thought there really was someone standing there.
On a lighter note, in one of my art classes, we started our first project involving color! And we got a nice lesson on color theory.
Still hoping for Klonoa to get a new game... or a movie like thisWell, my vacation is at an end now.
For some good news: Thanks to Netflix, I'm rewatching the anime series my friend Max introduced me to many years ago: Full Metal Panic. :)
