I have to question how I ended up getting such a high score on the Schizoid section. I also have to question the legitimacy of the test since half of the "more info" sections lead to the same article.

The test existed when I was in 4th grade and is based on an outdated version of the DMC/whatever/manual

[up]x4 Off topic, but high five for also having a Crona avvie.

Yeah, tests like these have crap accuracy. I've taken Asperger's tests that said there's a 43% chance I have it, even though I 100% do have it.

Disorder | Rating

  • Paranoid | High
  • Schizoid | Moderate
  • Schizotypal | Low
  • Antisocial | Moderate
  • Borderline | Low
  • Histrionic | Moderate
  • Narcissistic | Moderate
  • Avoidant | Low
  • Dependent | Low
  • Obsessive-Compulsive | Low

Well, it's gotten my diagnosis right.

Also, for depression.

  • Major Depression: High
  • Dysthymia: Moderate
  • Bipolar Disorder: Slight-Moderate
  • Cyclothymia: Moderate
  • Seasonal Affective Disorder: Very Slight

I actually have a form of Cyclothymia which has very long periods, and so is comparable to Dysthymia as well, which can appear as Major. I am though medicated, but that I'm only moderate for the two my case is most comparable to shows my medication is working, for which I'm thankful for.

Reposted from shipping: Don't trust online tests, Daft. That one is only slightly more accurate than BuzzFeed. First of all, it's almost contradictory to have nearly every personality disorder. You can have several, but not all. Secondly, I can already remove you as a narcissist, a histrionic, a sociopath/psychopath, a paranoia sufferer, and an OCPD sufferer. I don't know about the rest, but you have not shown any signs of the above, to my knowledge. Thirdly, it's unlikely that you would have that many depressive disorders. You can suffer from double depression (dysthymia with major depressive episodes), but the others are unlikely.

Narcissism is associated with lying about yourself to impress others.

Can you trust any of the results people with Very High Narcissism post?

Daughter, stop worrying the fuck out about it. As someone whose degree is literally this, I can certify these tests are 100% bullshit. In no way do any of these tests even come close to any measures that are used in psychometrics. Some of these don't even make any sense. There's no internal validity, nor any external validity. These tests are incredibly flimsy, and I wouldn't trust them. Bad tests are worse than no test at all. I would think that these tests are just vague enough to tell you what you want, or make you think what you want. Real psychometric testing is a lot more thorough and realistic and not made of bullshit.

I think this test is fairly accurate. I actually have borderline, so I'm not surprised that I scored high for paranoid, avoidant, and the other cluster B disorders.

[up],[up][up][up]You might want to amend your list to "personality disorder", instead of "disorder", because that last item is supposed to be obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (which is not the same as OCD).

Hey, this one is still up? Cool, lets see how it comes out.

  • Paranoid: Low
  • Schizoid: High
  • Schizotypal: Very High
  • Antisocial: Moderate
  • Borderline: Low
  • Histrionic: Moderate
  • Narcissistic: Moderate
  • Avoidant: Low
  • Dependent: Low
  • Obsessive-Compulsive: Low

Decently accurate. Schizoid and schizotypal are basically the loner diagnosis, which do fit me in a number of ways. As for the depression test:

  • Major Depression: Very Slight
  • Dysthymia: Slight
  • Bipolar Disorder: Moderate
  • Cyclothymia: Very High
  • Seasonal Affective Disorder: Slight-Moderate

Also decently accurate. I have battled depression in the past and have mostly gotten over major, long term depression, but mood fluctuations that aren't based on any particular thing have stuck with me, and I've certainly self-diagnosed as bipolar before, especially a number of years ago during probably the most intensive... episode that I ever had. Afterward I realized I'd probably spent most of a year in what's called a Mixed State

...

It was not a fun year.
