[up][up]The Infernal's are, but I believe that the Abyssal's aren't, it's just that any divination automatically botches. They're only entirely outside Fate if they take charms to make them so.

So...

Where would I go if I wanted to play a short Exalted campaign online?

What I'm looking for is...

Another Troper and I almost got caught up in a flame war, between whether D&D or Exalted was better.

So, eventually, I asked for a compromise; he would join the D&D game some of us Tropers are playing, ad I would join an Exalted game.

The problem is, I'm quite busy. I have 2 RP's to run, I'm participating in another and possibly yet another soon, and I'm in my final year of school now, sorta.

So what I need is a short Exalted campaign, which won't take too long to run, and which is geared for newbies.

Do you think Celestial Exalted could wear masks and costumes and dress up like super heroes to throw off any Wyld Hunts?

Because I totally want to do that.

Not sure I can help, then, Angel.

Masks? Yeah!

The protectors of Creation. Beyond even the greatest Hero. They are...

Solar Girl- Chosen of the Sun, leader of the team, protector of the innocent, all around Badass and has a weakness for kittens. Mutated wyld kittens, but kittens nevertheless.

Oblivion- Chosen of Death, destroyer of the wicked, the best killer on the team, and her Kryptonite Factor is her love for Colossus Man. D'awwwww.

Colossus Man- Chosen of Autobot, he has come to this world to ensure freedom be the right of all sentient beings. And perhaps he will find the meaning of this thing they call... love?

Fate Weaver- Chosen of Destiny, he has joined the team for reasons unknown and mysterious... Just as Planned.

Lunar Man- Chosen of the Moon, he is Mission Control for the team. He also has a thing for Solar Girl, but just Can't Spit It Out.

and as for the Newest member of the Team...

Cosmic Man- Chosen of the Yozi, this guy has so far been shown to be 100% Badass extraordinaire, which has left a deep feeling of jealousy in Solar Girl for hogging the spotlight.

Will these feelings continue? Find out next week on

The fact that everyone's favourite commiebots have a signature character called Stern Whip of Industry who's large and red is one of my favourite things.

It helps that he's such a bro.

How do you fix Creation? I've been going it over in my head, and I've only been able to think of ways at beating the bad guys and removing the Great Curse. That's great and all, but It doesn't exactly solve the underlying problem of the Strong ruling the Weak. Any suggestions guys?

Punch a shinma, that should solve it.

As Count Dorku said, "Go over here and beat the shit out of this guy" is generally how things are fixed in Exalted.

Okay, so maybe it's sometimes "Go over here, DIPLOMACY, the DIMPLOMACY fails, and then you beat the shit out of him".

Of course, this is Exalted. The answer too everything is punching out abominations that represent what you don't like.

... I thought I was being sarcastic there, but then I realized that's how things actually work in Exalted. God I love this game.

Thanks again Dorku.

So here's a question. My character in our Exalted game is an adaptation of an original character I've had for a while. Due to various things in the character's background, he fears and dislikes deep water. Problem is, after we finish our current goals in the North, we'll be heading West, to the sea.

How should I roleplay my character's fear of the ocean, without it being crippling in gameplay?

CountDorku Since: Jan, 2001

Learns Charms to do with balance and whatnot to avoid falling into the ocean. I think there's an artifact that lets you walk on water; try and track down or construct a pair. Failing that cling to bits of the ship like a limpet with one hand and always carry a length of rope.

[up][up] Just to clarify: Plan Punch a Shinma isn't based on punching some guy in the face.

It's based on punching the laws of reality in the face.

Tell me that isn't cool.

[up]Punching the laws of reality in the face. Everyday occurrence in Exalted.

And no, It Is not cool. It's so fucking cold that it passes negative infinity as a solar punches infinity into oblivion with his redeemed abyssal friend as Creation cheers, ultimately going back too coolness to the max.

If you're playing a Solar, grab Graceful Crane Stance and the one that lets you walk on water. Play seriously worried and wanting to stand on other stuff- and so stunt plenty of jumping on things.

Does that suit?

Yes, those suggestions all sound good, thanks.

Several pages back, there was a disscusion about making an enhanced form of Dragon-Blooded, Enlightened Dragon-Blooded, that would be Celestial-level in power. Just a suggestion, but maybe one of the effects of being Enlightened aside from beefing up the powers of their primary element, it also gives them a secondary element of regular DB power. For example, an Enlightened could have Fire as his primary aspect, and exceed regular Fire-aspect DB's, but also have a secondary Earth aspect, which would be on par with a normal Earth DB.

Don't know if that would work, I'm just putting it out there.

[up]It be kind of odd, unless the example had parents with both elements. The stonger one would be the Fire one, and the weaker be the Earth aspect. Maybe the example could have super magma powers. Meh.

It would be more intersting if they could have all the elements at normal Dragon-Blood levels. All Your Powers Combined is awesome.

There's often ancestry of other Aspects in a Terrestrial's bloodline- you can get an Earth Aspect born to a pair of Air Aspects, though it's unlikely unless one or both is closely related to an Earth, I think.

Here's a suggestion for a Super Terrestrial fluff. It goes against the other fluff I thought of except 'doesn't happen in the Realm alot'.

As well being the descendant of another Terrestrial Exalt, as per the norm, they are also descendant of a Celestial Exalt.

Personally not a fan for thematic reasons- I don't think UBERTERRESTRIAL should be the result of mixing them with non-terrestrials- but YMMV.

I just kind of imagined the Enlightend DB's would be the Exalted of Gaia directly, rather than the Elemental Dragons.

Potentially made possible by the Sidereals scewing with the Loom of Fate, back during the big Fair Folk invasion.

Just one thing - if you want to design Super Terrestrials, call them something else than Enlightened Dragon-Blooded, since that term already has a very specific meaning in the setting (namely, Dragon Blooded who underwent Training from Hell to be able to use Celestial Martial Arts) and the word "Enlightened" itself is used for several things.

Maybe "Gnosis Aspects"? After another of Gaia's souls?

My title is no longer sticking out of its box, but I couldn't think of anything better to put here.

If we want a slightly more flamboyant title, Transcendent Elemental Masters, or just Elemental Masters?

Maybe Fivefold Chosen of the Dragons?
