Thanks to Netflix, I started watching Tenchi Muyo! again. I can't believe I almost forgot how good this show was. :) ^_^;;

I didn't know that show was on Netflix.

I just had to wait a while for the first DVD to move from the Saved list into my actual mailing list.

Yes.

I don't know if it's still the case, but it seems like Netflix's DVD selection is much bigger than its streaming selection. I think that's because they have a legal right to rent out a disc they just went out and bought and they don't have to negotiate any licenses.

Of course, they also would really really like to not have to keep providing the DVD by mail service, it's just that every time they try the customers riot. DVD by mail was a consolation offering because the infrastructure wasn't ready for the streaming service they wanted to offer from the beginning, and they haven't offered DVD in any other country they've expanded into.

megarockman, Ed Hochuli retired? Well-deserved. I must say that I wasn't a fan of him, for an extremely petty reason: He's hard to understand. I can't read his lips.

For most of my adult life, watching football has been challenging. I'm hard of hearing, and have only had hearing aids for a few years. So, I learned to read officials' signals and to read lips (more accurately, to guess what people are saying based on context and lip movements). I still do that when I'm watching a game at a bar.

Anyway. Ed Hochuli's face is so hard to understand. He's a good ref and I wish him the best in retirement, and I hope he's replaced by someone whose face is easier to read.

"Piss in your pants" has got to be the weakest insult/threat I've ever heard. It's Narm-y as hell and doesn't really have a long-lasting impact.

What if people threatened others without wishing harm on them? Would you find the phrase "I hope you see the errors of your ways" menacing if said in an angry tone?

The best internet shade I've seen is "Die mad about it." It's a threat in a sense, a "You will never be free from your petty anger," with a shot of "You won't change this."

Arguing with someone who insists on being blunt is no fun
