Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

I swear to heck the Federalist Papers get more dry every single time I have to read through them...
Oh, that's really happening. Hamilton and Madison put a curse on each other's pieces. Whenever they are read by anyone they get that much dryer.

And I've made that no more procrastinating promise too. I'll get around to fulfilling it any day now... tongue

[up]Hehe, or perhaps John Jay set the curse. Angered that everyone paid attention to Madison and Hamilton's contributions instead, he set out to ensure that anyone who dared focus on the other two authors would be doomed to boredom. tongue

[up] Yeah...it came from the grounds on the current debacle involving Kevin Spacey that I won't talk about...the thing is that I never wanted to involve malice in it, just simply talking...but others from the OTC thread grew so tired of me that they take every word of me as me being just an arrogant naive idiot when that's not even what I'm trying to give at all...

So I was just on a topic on another forum that basically asked you to think of an anime villain and make a Pokemon team they'd use.

OK, so my brain went to thinking of Ren Suzugamori from Season 1 of Cardfight!! Vanguard. I don't know if I'd really classify him as a villain villain, but he was the one I thought of. This is rather funny to me because I had actually tried to think up an Aichi themed Pokemon team before for a potential Pokemon playthrough (I enjoy themed playthroughs of games).

What's really sad is that it was so much easier to think up a team for Ren than it was for Aichi (I just cannot seem to think of a good one for him). It's just kind of dumbfounding for me that I can make a Ren team with hardly any effort while I cannot seem to make an Aichi team for the life of me.

This is just buzzing around in my mind making me wonder "What the heck".

My friend recently asked me what Celestial Being would look like and it's function would be in the Iron-Blooded Orphans universe.

Discussing it was a cool thought exercise.

I love it when people try to get people to fight for them, only for things to become worse because the person hired is a complete idiot.

Does anyone think there's enough examples to try to launch a "Prequelitis" trope, as defined as the tendency for an established franchise to stop advancing and start doing prequel after prequel? Star Trek has it, Star Wars went through it, and Stargate just got it. I think I had some examples in mind that didn't have "Star" in the title. Hasn't Metal Gear had more than one prequel?

Metal Gear has a very convoluted timeline. I wouldn't regard the chronologically earlier ones as "prequels" because they still have a set number order.

Oh, half the Legend of Zelda games are prequels, aren't they? I know there's like, at least two divergent timelines.

So if we got a Sonic game that played like Sonic Unleashed with a plot like Metal Gear Solid 2, how would that work out?

Zelda games can't really be called prequels exactly, because the series never focuses on one era long enough to establish it as the one before which any games would be called prequels.

[up] There's a Batman/Elmer Fudd comic out there and it's much better than it has any right to be. Also, if you're interesting in Batman, try giving Batman: White Knight a whirl!

When I see people doing what we today as young adults would consider “having fun”, with drinking and partying and so on, I tend to find myself wondering whether they’re genuinely enjoying themselves, or just looking for an escape from something. I’m still quite young myself (age 20) and I don’t wanna be a stick in the mud, but this seems to be pretty much all that a lot of people live for, and surely there must be more to life than that, in my opinion, so I wouldn’t think they’re being honest with themselves about what they really want. But I’ll confess this is coming from someone who’s introverted for the most part, so it might just be the bias of my personality.

That's what I do for fun. It's not the only thing I do for fun, I mean I also like to read and draw, and play music and countless other things, but it's fun to go out on a Friday night and see your friends and enjoy the nightlife. It's equal parts relaxing and exciting. Relaxing since I don't have to worry about my busy schedule for once, and exciting because being part of the nightlife, especially in my city, is exhilarating. All the neon lights and music and trendy people laughing and having fun around you is an awesome feeling.

People have different ideas of what constitutes fun and just because something isn't fun for you doesn't mean the people who do it for fun are faking

Personally, it depends on my mood for me, if it's fun.

If I've been working for long enough, I'm more likely to stay indoors for weeks the evening.

Though the occasional night out with friends can be great, though I doubt Paducah's nightlife compares with that of NYC's.
