I also love the original "Landslide" but I just looked up the Dixie Chick's version and I did find it to be pretty bland and boring. Stevie Nicks' distinct voice and emotional delivery is what makes the original song, so maybe other singers shouldn't try replicating it.
When I think of boring Fleetwood Mac songs, I think of another song from their self-titled album: "Warm Ways" (and "Over My Head" to a lesser extent). Christine Mc Vie was the least interesting of the band's three singer/songwriters, and this song in particular exemplifies bland, cheesy soft rock to me. It's too bad that the talented Lindsey Buckingham had to play sideman to such a lifeless song. And for some reason, this was released as the album's lead-off single!

They Might Be Giants — Wearing a Raincoat.
It just sounds weird and contrived to me somehow...
Actually, except for Experimental Film, Prevenge, and one other song I forget the name of, and despite the wicked cool cover art, I'm not that fond of The Spine as a whole.
And the Severe Tire Damage version of Ana Ng sounds way out of tune and grates on my ears. :/
Echoing (kind of) what 0dd 1 said earlier in this thread, Mr. Xcitement and Wicked Little Critta were like this as well, but have since grown on me.
You can not go to Utah again after you have eaten Utah and have not eaten.Tim McGraw: Almost any duet he did with Faith Hill was just a total Cliché Storm of bad pop love song tropes. The only ones that I liked from them were "Like We Never Loved at All" (although that one had to grow on me), which was at least more of a breakup song, and "I Need You", which had a ton of interesting lyrics.
I thought "Just a Kiss" was decent, even if the lyrics are pretty groan worthy.
"Like We Never Loved At All" I can't stand, maybe because it got so much airplay years ago, or because I find Faith Hill obnoxious in general (except for "I Need You", where she does more crooning and less wailing).
Eh, I don't think that's entirely fair, since the way I see it an artist is only as old as they sound, and near as I can tell McGraw's voice hasn't changed much over the years. Still, the song sounds a little too much like "Speed" (Montgomery Gentry) with more pop thrown in.

McGraw used to be more whiny until 2001's Set This Circus Down, I've found.
Anything new by Maroon 5. I cant say I like that band anymore. I hate them now. But they used to be actually kind of good. And also Young Volcanoes by Fall Out Boy.
I never want to hear "Welcome to the Jungle" again. It's completely irrational of me - I can't really name something wrong with it, but I'm sick of hearing it constantly as a sort of stock cue to get pumped up now, guys! Meh.
"New Slaves" just comes off as the same old "grrr materialism!!". I know self-righteousness is part of his whole deal, but eh. Leaves me cold.

I don't really hate it but it is my least favorite song on my favorite album from AC/DC "She's Got Balls" from the album High Voltage.
Sometimes I skip it depending on my mood because my favorite song is right after it.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureA Boy Named Sue is both my least favorite Johnny Cash song and my least favorite thing written by Shel Silverstein. I just find it unfunny, uninteresting, and dumb in all the wrong ways.
I love love LOVE Daft Punk more than I love myself.. but I've always hated High Fidelity.
As with Gorillaz, Man Research always weirded me out, and a lot of their phase one stuff isn't that great to me. Plastic Beach will always be my favorite though.
OK Go is great, Before The Earth Was Round was.. meh. Same with Justice's TTHHEE PPAARRTTYY, I like Uffie but it's sort of an annoying song anyways.
Not exactly hate, but I usually skip "Mr. Self Destruct" when it comes in, since it's probably my least favorite NIN song.
You will be hanged for your crimes tomorrow at dawn.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Will you hang me for disliking "Technologic", due to its annyoing robo-vocals (and I'm speaking as one who loves robo-vocals, especially in the older stuff)?

It's not as good as HF, so I'll spare you.
Also every instance of them singing is "robo-vocals" so that's kinda redundant.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."im autistic about this but "untrue" by burial
the rest of that album is about dog shelters and homeless people and dark angels falling from the heavens above but this song is about some relationship bs. "the way i feel inside/and its all because you lied" is basically the lamest sample ive ever heard in a burial song.
i dont hate it but man i am just not that into it and the rest of the album is so good

i dont know where to start secret movie club for cool pplWhile we're on the topic of Daft Punk, "Homework" is just obnoxious to me because of those chipmunk vocals and lack of a discernible tune.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here....you mean "Technologic", right? Homework is an album which contain no chipmunk vocals to speak of.
And besides Indo Silver Club is their worst song anyway.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Whoops, I meant "Teachers" (which is on that album). Easy to mix those names up.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I love Daft Punk too (I own all their albums save for the TRON soundtrack and hey introduced me to electronic music), but here's an unpopluar opinion:
I don't like "One More Time". I'm not a fan of the vocals, and I guess it never did anything for me. I listened to it maybe 5 times before I decided I wasn't interested in it.
It might be my aversion to popular stuff, but I can't see why "Nightcall" is Kavinsky's legacy as of now. Sure it was the opening track for Drive but it's a boring song with lyrics that repeat twice. The music itself is good but it gets old quick. Sure I got into Kavinsky with it since it's on nearly every 80's themed 8 tracks playlist, but his other stuff really shines in comparison (except Suburbia, I don't like the rap).
Life is hard, that's why no one survives. It's not just Daft Punk who did 'robo-vocals'. Remember the daddies, Kraftwerk and Yellow Magic Orchestra (more the former than the latter, but still). I'm picking up on the whole history of Electronic Music with that post of mine.
Oh, I see.
I like One More Time, but it's my least favorite song on the album.
@Odd: But the bassline is the tune.

To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."I actually really dig Teachers, but I will agree that the vocals are a tad strange. Guess I have a soft spot for funky beats, and also the fact that it's a dedication song to all of their musical inspirations is very heartwarming to me.
i'm gonna be the kanye best like no one ever wasI don't even hear a bassline in that song, just the drumbeat and vocals.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I'm all for paying tribute to one's influences, but people usually do that in a more listenable way.

To me, Richard Sterban's Basso Profundo alone makes Elvira worthwhile in my book. In fact, he's probably the #1 reason I like the Oaks so much.
