Trolls Band Together:

• Big Brother Instinct: John Dory and Bruce show their brotherly instinct for their younger siblings.
  • They both attempt to cheer Branch up and make him smile, after seeing his sour expression during a performances. They also attempted to calm Branch down when he gets upset with them.
  • After being rescue by Viva, they both spring into action in order to save Clay and Floyd from Velvet, even though they were trap in diamond prisons.
• The Reveal: At first, Branch believed that John Dory and Bruce left the band because of a petty argument. However, during another argument, Branch finds out the truth as to why John Dory and Bruce left, as he realize they left for selfish reasons, which hurt his feelings, thinking they don't care about him.

• Broken Base: Was it a good idea for this game to be the first localized Puyo Puyo game since Fever? Some feel it makes sense to use the Tetris name to get consumers into Puyo Puyo, given how popular and well-known Tetris is. In contrast, others argue it would've been better if a normal Puyo Puyo game was localized instead, arguing that using the Tetris name was a detriment to Puyo's long-term success since it attracted an entirely separate audience who had no interest in Puyo Puyo in the first place and has indirectly harmed the series' reputation by having it be associated with and compared directly to Tetris rather than being allowed to stand on its own two feet.

• Fandom-Enraging Misconception: The Vocaloid singers are not AI-generated. They are vocal synthesizers (voiced by humans) that are more comparable to digital instruments than anything AI-related and still require human involvement to work (it's effectively like calling a digital piano AI). Even the AI Vocaloid voice banks still require the user to insert the music and input the lyrics for them to sing. Trust us, you don't want to make this mistake and call Miku or any of the Virtual Singers an AI singer unless you want to be crucified by the fandom.

• Newer Than They Think: Batman and the Joker being Arch-Enemies is an iconic staple of the Batman mythos, but it's a surprisingly late concept in Batman's history. During the Golden and Silver Ages, the Joker was treated as just another recurring foe for Batman to beat up and was given no more importance than the rest of Batman's rogues gallery (as DC's blog states, "Basically, in the early days there just wasn’t much to say about Batman and the Joker’s relationship. A Batman versus Joker story wasn’t much different than a Batman versus random crook story"). It wasn't until The Bronze Age of Comic Books and the back-to-back success of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, The Killing Joke, Batman: A Death in the Family, and Batman (1989) in the 1980s that the Joker would be cemented as Batman's most personal foe.

• If Distasteful Anchovy isn't chaotic enough, then meet the Noise's fun and hyperactive lap 2 theme, "World Wide Noise". If Peppino's lap 2 theme screams confidence and asks if you are ready to get funky, Noise's lap 2 theme screams pure insanity and asks you to bring the noise.

• The Last of Us Series (The Last of Us and Once Upon a Time)'s The Last of Us (AU): Robin Locksley, due to being combined with David, lacks his canon counterparts redeeming qualities. Despite at first presenting himself as a kind survivor to Regina, Robin is the sadistic leader of a group of cannibals who regularly has his men go out to collect any survivors so as to eat them. Robin has also made several women his personal "pets", before ultimately killing them, with him becoming obsessed with Regina and making her his latest pet. Robin also cares nothing for his men, with their deaths only evoking either mild annoyance or indifference from him and he nearly strangles his own right-hand for questioning him. Upon learning that Emma is on her way, Robin attempts to butcher Regina before chasing her around his settlement and attempting to rape and her. Even in a world full of smugglers, bandits and zombies, Robin stands out as the worse humanity has to offer.

• Girls5eva: Despite Dawn being Happily Married to Scott, most fans online ship Dawn with Wickie, mainly due to said fans feeling that she has better chemistry and a more interesting dynamic with Wickie. Most fan content for the show is about those two as a couple.

• Chekhov's Gun: The scooter that Carlos is riding right before Luther attacks him turns out to have both motivated Luther's wrath and started the feud in the first place back in 1999 after Miguel stole it from Patrick and then killed his eldest brother for trying to take it back.

• Connected All Along: The two German Mooks among the Confederate forces turn out to be Carl's two cousins, which causes Carl angst when one dies and plants the seeds for the other to have a possible Heel–Face Turn.
• A Taste of the Lash: The Confederates liberally employ whipping against anyone they want to punish or get information from, such as a slave named Pete they find walking between plantations without a pass and Dan Pepperill for treating Pete's wounds.

• In "The Letter," did Jonesy mean to Mercy Kill Sadie by smothering her while she was being raped by his white supremacist friends, or was it an accident while he was trying to distract her from what was going on or keep her from yelling out about their relationship in front of the others?
• When killers like Gibby in "8:03 a.m." and Tina in "That Woman" start crying during their final interrogations, are they just panicking about finally being caught, experiencing belated remorse after hearing their petty motives for killing people and ruining lives put into words, or both?

  • Flight, allowing her to zip between places.

  • Shockwaves, she can send massive amounts of energy as attacks
  • Combat Clairvoyance, she doesn't have the same degree as Nei, but she can see things from a far away distance.
  • Teleportation: not like the same degree as Tenka, as she cannot teleport herself but she can send others to different locations.

• Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire: Garraka is an ancient ghost who once helped a king conquer other kingdoms before his actions scared the king so much that he was betrayed and stripped of his horns. Swearing vengeance on all of humanity, Garraka came up with a way to freeze all of humanity using fear before being imprisoned by the Firemasters in an orb. Trying to escape in the present day, Garraka releases the Possessor to cause havoc all over New York. Caring nothing for his fellow ghosts, Garraka has no problem using his power to force them to do what he wants, and lies to Melody so that she will trick Phoebe into temporally becoming a ghost so that Garraka can use her body to finish the chant needed to free him. Planning on releasing all of the ghosts that the Ghostbusters have captured, Garraka tries to freeze the whole of New York and brutally murders a random man due to mistaking him for the last Firemaster. Completely freezing all of the comedy whenever he shows up, Garraka is one of the worst enemies that the Ghostbusters have ever faced.

• Sonic the Hedgehog:
  • Despite humans having been mostly phased out in The New '10s, Dr. Eggman remains a hugely prominent figure in the franchise, as his status as the franchise's Big Bad makes him too iconic and integral to the franchise for him to be taken out entirely, not to mention he's been the Token Human from the series' beginning and long before humans became more central to the plots. It helps that Dr. Eggman remains a fan favorite, while the other human characters are divisive at best, and hated at worst. This also extends to parts of the fandom, with many older fans hating the idea of humans in the franchise, but being okay with Dr. Eggman (and only Eggman) due to his longevity and Big Bad status. Gerald and Maria Robotnik also get a pass from fans by virtue of being relatives to Dr. Eggman (and being dead).

• While Fake Interactivity has become an increasingly Discredited Trope (and it's mostly only used in parodies nowadays), Blue's Clues & You! and Dora are amongst the only modern preschool shows to play it straight, largely because their predecessors were the ones that made it popular in the first place and it has become too integral to their formulas for it to be removed.

• Spiritual Successor: The film is basically a feature length live action Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner short, given that it is a zany silent comedy starring a man who comes up with a series of increasingly elaborate traps to capture the beavers to no avail. Some of the traps are even ACME Products.

• In "Saving Patrick Bubley," is Letecia really a Love Martyr for the murderous and unfaithful Miguel, or does she stay with him out of fear that he'll hurt her if she leaves him? She has little good to say about him and seems to be perfectly happy during her Maybe Ever After moment with his cousin after Miguel's arrest.
• In "WASP," is Iris's desire to avoid a scandal regarding her unit really out of feminism and a desire to make opportunities for future generations of women, or is preserving her own career and status at least part of her motivation?
• In "Discretion," did Detective Martin really coerce a false confession while thinking Antonio was guilty or (given how there was a period of a day or two between when he questioned Antonio and then forced that confession), did he get a lead on the real culprits but take a bribe to pin their crime on a scapegoat? It would add an even nastier dimension to his refusal to pursue any leads leading to them.

• Alternate Character Interpretation: Is Father Bests' preoccupation with keeping the school open out of concern for the wellbeing of his students, staff, community, or some combination of the three? Or does he just want to keep his cushy job? On a related note, what exactly is his role in the brewery fire? Did he agree to falsely vouch for the Klaxons after the fire or beforehand (meaning he had a chance to stop it but didn't)? If he only vouched for them afterward, did he know they were the arsonists, choose to be willfully blind, or honestly think they were innocent (in which case his comment about vouching for them could be a reminder that he stood by them when they were under suspicion that they took entirely the wrong way)?
• Base-Breaking Character: Fans either love Manberg for his badass past and Pet the Dog moments or hate him for his exploitation of other characters, with the fact that he is the only Jewish character in the movie adding heat to both sides of the argument.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Natalia and the rest of the town council have spent years serving in a Mayor of a Ghost Town role while thwarting the Klaxons and having some kind of skills that have kept the Klaxons from simply assassinating them (with Natalia also investigating the Klaxons), but they only have a few minutes of combined screentime, little of which shows them at their most interesting.

• Ensemble Dark Horse: Snatcher's Big, Thin, Short Trio henchmen are some of the movie's more colorful and consistently popular characters.

  • When entering Porky's house, he spends a good chunk of time criticizing the tacky layout of his house.

• Lasting Marks (link): Keeper Agruss is just as sadistic as in series. He has Torguta colonists of Kiros enslaved in his slave processing facility, having Torguta’s off all ages busjected to horrible work while monistored by his sadistic guards, killing all who are unable to work. When Obi Wan Kenobi and Captain Rex are sent ot his facility, Agruss orders his guards to punish Torgutas any time they show resistance in order to break Kenobi’s spirit, at one point killing Torguta teenager in fron of him. When Jedi and the Republic attack facility to free slaves, Agruss threatens lives of the imprisoned Torguta, destroying control panel which could save them when Obi Wan and Rex rebel after weeks of torment and mocking traumatised Kenobi that Jedi can’t attack unarmed man.

• Base-Breaking Character: Martez sisters. Some fans like them for their dinamic with Ashoka and perspective they provide on the Clone Wars and failings of the Jedi Order. Others however dislike them for what they see as idiotic and reckless decisions, the fact they took up an entire arc of the final season with their antics, and a perceived lack of depth.

Trolls Band Together:

• Big Brother Instinct:
  • John Dory happily watches Bruce tease and mess with Branch.
  • Bruce smiles with delight when he sees Clay playing with Branch's face.
• Heartwarming: Branch and Clay doing most of the singing of It Takes Two shows that they are the most happy to be reunited as a family before John Dory and Bruce joined in.
• Jerkass Realization: John Dory, Bruce and Clay have been treating Branch like a baby since they reunited with him. However, after Branch called them out for their selfish behavior, John Dory, Bruce and Clay not only realize how badly they hurt their brother, but realize that they were being insensitive jerks to him.
  • John Dory and Bruce are hit by this trope the most, as they realize that they have been selfish jerks for thinking about themselves instead of their younger brothers, especially when they realize that they exposed Branch and Floyd to danger.
