Regarding the Trivia namespace (crowner switched 20th Jan 2020)

Adding Reclusive Artist to the list now.

I added Popularity Polynomial to the crowner. The crowner looks kind of bloated to me. Maybe we should start with a new one?

I think at this point we can unhook the crowner and settle things by talking about them. We're no longer adding things to the index en masse, so it's practical to talk about individual additions now (where it wouldn't have been when the index was first created).

I personally think it's easier to judge consensus with a crowner. It can be hard to keep track of agreement and disagreement in a conversation, particularly if multiple things are being discussed at once. A crowner is also less likely to have people jumping the gun.

But either way, I agree that this particular crowner should go, whether it's just unhooked or whether it's replaced.

Have we considered Cash-Cow Franchise?

New crowner's in. Some stuff from the previous crowner may need calling, but it's so messy, we might as well put them here.

Bleached Underpants is something you wouldn't know from the work itself, but you would know if you knew the other iterations of it. So it is outside any one work, but still an internal trope for the franchise.

I'm having trouble understanding the rationale behind making Germans Love David Hasselhoff and Americans Hate Tingle trivia. Those are rather clear audience reactions. Audience reactions aren't visible in the work either, but that doesn't make them trivia.

Looks like we're in some danger of mixing up Trivia and and Audience Reaction. Should be easy to keep them apart:

Trivia are facts. Audience Reactions are opinions.

Which is what the above two are. Given that the crowner votes also dropped significantly after the items were called (unlike most called items), I think they're safe to go back to YMMV.

The YKTTW sponsor of Long-Runner Cast Turnover felt it could be trivia. I'm not sure. Opinions?

I would say that it could be re-added, as it only had five votes on the previous crowner.

ETA: I don't think Long-Runner Cast Turnover is Trivia because it's something that is (usually) observable in the work itself: you can tell when cast members have been changed, and it can have an impact on the story, too.

Misattributed Song seems pretty non-subjective to me. Most of the examples seem to be misattributed to only one individual artist; it's not like some people think the song is by X, Y, Z, or Q when it's really by A, they just think it's by X. IMO it seems no more subjective than people thinking a certain quotation goes one way when it's really another.
