Character-Specific Pages (CSPs) are created when individual characters have so many trope examples that they can't reasonably be included on a shared page.
The Administrivia Character-Specific Pages policy details the rules that apply to these pages. All Character-Specific Pages must also follow the basic How to Create a Character Page policy, as well as the wiki's more general policies about spoilers and examples.
This cleanup thread handles the following tasks:
- Reviewing and approving new CSP proposals. All new potential CSPs must be reviewed and, if necessary, cleaned up before they're created.
- Agreeing on page names for new CSPs.
- Ensuring that wicks are updated when a new CSP is created.
- Reviewing existing CSPs if there's a concern that they need cleanup, or if it's believed that the character may no longer qualify for a page.
- Merging existing CSPs into other character pages when necessary.
- Ensuring that wicks are updated when a CSP is removed/merged.
- Creating, updating and cutting redirects, as necessary, to reflect these splits and merges.
Crowners are not normally required but, where appropriate, can be used to formalise decisions on any of these points.
If a character no longer qualifies for a CSP, it's often more practical to turn the CSP into a redirect than to cut the page entirely. This keeps the page history visible to users, and also helps to steer offsite 'inbound' traffic (search engine results) to the right place. With that in mind, cut requests for CSPs may be declined and referred to this thread if they don't have a clear consensus.
Comments linking back to this thread can be added to CSPs when needed - e.g. to confirm their creation was approved, to warn tropers that a cleanup is in progress, or to note the date and outcome of a more recent review.
We also have some more general threads for character page help -
- Character Page Cleanup: for trope misuse, zero-context examples, spoiler tagging issues etc.
- Are these character tropes?: for queries about whether particular tropes belong on a character page or on the work's page.
This is not a policy discussion thread, it's a cleanup thread — any requests for policy changes need to be raised in Wiki Talk.
Mod update 07 Mar 2024, reflecting new CSP policy, updated again 22 Mar 2024 to mention redirects for removed CSPs
- Other options must have been tried first, like splitting pages into further groups.
- The character's folder is cleaned up beforehand, fixing any Zero-Context Examples and Wall of Text entries and removing any outdated, misused, or non-character tropes.
- A character's folder is at least 6,000 words/40,000 characters (with spaces). Here is a byte counter.note
- The current character page bypasses technical limitations and requires a split up.
- A single character takes up the majority of a page or is disproportionately bigger than other folders.
Splitting a character into their own page is a major change and needs to be run by the community before it is enacted. Even if you believe a character meets these requirements, they should be run through this thread first. Having other tropers take a look can help spot issues you may not notice or believe to be issues.
Per How to Create a Character Page, character-specific pages should only include tropes that describe the character. These tropes should fall under Characterization Tropes or one of its related indexes, unless they're recurring character traits (distinctive things that the character does repeatedly). If you're unsure what counts as a character trope, you can ask the Are these Character Tropes? thread.
If you have concerns with a general character page, they have their own separate cleanup thread, as do the self-demonstrating character pages.

@animuacid: I attempted to discuss splitting the pages off a week ago. Nobody responded, and nobody directed me to the proper thread, so I was not fully aware of all the rules. Is the current page length the only issue with those pages? Because we could probably find more tropes/examples to fill them out if that's the case.
By now, it should be clear to all except the most dense of us that sheep are secretly conspiring to kill us all and steal our pants.I have been trying to merge the separate Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul character folders on my own time, primarily for the major characters like the Salamancas. Evidently, there's still some that I need to get to though.
Trust no one.- Final Fantasy VII: SOLDIER (35,341 characters)
- Final Fantasy VII: Sephiroth (69,902 characters)
Merging Sephiroth will have 105,243 characteres, so I think its an easy merge
Characters.Monster Verse CSP's need to be redirected and remove their indexes:
- MonsterVerse - Emma Russell
- MonsterVerse - Mark Russell
- MonsterVerse - Madison Russell
- MonsterVerse - Ren Serizawa
- MonsterVerse - Alan Jonah
- MonsterVerse - Walter Simmons

In Big Hero 6, both Yokai (23,593 characters) and Obake (30,691 characters) can be easily merged. The problem is where they should be.
Should we create a Big Hero 6 Main Antagonists or something similiar ?
Since kagami and luka were both in a section called heroes introduced in season 3, maybe it's a good idea to move them all to a subpage called Characters.Miracoulous Ladybug Heroes Introduced In Season 3.
That's because there's a criterion to prioritize splitting off groups of characters before Character Specific page.
No problem putting them in the Main Character Index. That's what I did with the short subpages of The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You.

And (if they're there) removed from Live-Action Films & Character Specific Pages Byte Check
Also, is there any way to clean up MonsterVerse - King Ghidorah and MonsterVerse - Mechagodzilla so the pages can be merged?

CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsI mean like I could go either way there. I am not in a rush to merge those two together again.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadI took care of the CM stuff for Fanfic!Simmons and Ren. I'll take care of the canon stuff when the new Monsterverse entries go up.
EDIT: I'm taking care of the rest, but MonsterVerse - Ishirō Serizawa could maybe go back to MonsterVerse - Monarch? It'd be under 225k characters.

CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsFrom The Loud House:
- The Loud Family (73,198 characters)
- The Loud Siblings (231,875 characters)
- Lincoln Loud (44,831 characters)
- Other Family Members (51,490 characters)
- The Loud Siblings (231,875 characters)
The "Other Family members" page can be merged back into the main "Family" page. The one for the siblings is nearing the page limit, so no merging on Lincoln.
I'm fine with the merging, also keeping Lincoln's CSP intact
Speaking of...Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003): The Shredder can probably get absorbed by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003): Foot Clan, except the former has multiple incarnations.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsHey guys,
The All For Luz - Human Realm page has reached 200K+ and the blue bar has appeared. The story is under going a rewrite so more tropes will be on the way soon this month and next.
Shall I split off the "Reality Check Summer Camp" part of it into its own page? Its section takes up the most space and none of the individual character folders are big enough to warrant their own specific page.
Your thoughts?

From the Donkey Kong series:
- Villains (29,190 characters)
- Kremling Krew (48,242 characters)
- King K. Rool (38,906 characters)
- Tiki Tak Tribe (15,703 characters)
- Snowmads (22,060 characters)
- Kremling Krew (48,242 characters)
These seem like they can all be merged into one page.
Merge'em!
Go for it
While you are at it, merge King Boo too.
Let's see
- Luigi's Mansion (138,355 characters)
- King Boo (47,331 characters)
Yeah, can merge.

Time for Borderlands:
- Borderlands 2: Vault Hunters (133,287 characters)
- Borderlands: Krieg (55,671 characters)
- Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! Vault Hunters (136,424 characters)
- Borderlands: Claptrap (57,134 characters alongside 5H4D0W-TP and Denial Subroutine)
- Borderlands: Hyperion (127,132 characters)
- Borderlands: Handsome Jack (138,315 characters characters alongside his A.I and Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep incarnation)
My thoughs are:
- Easy merge for Krieg (188,958 characters if we merge with the rest);
- Claptrap is also an easy merge (If we exclude the 5H4D0W-TP and Denial Subroutine folders, it will have 182,890 characters if we merge with the rest), but I don't know what to do with 5H4D0W-TP and Denial Subroutine folders.
- As for Jack, we can keep his CSP intact. (If we exclude his A.I and TTAODK incarnation, it will have 232,132, which is still a little close to the CSP byte limit.)

From God of War...
- Kratos (316,658 characters)
- Atreus (83,415 characters)
- Zeus (48,080 characters)
- Odin (139,030 characters)
- Thor (77,809 characters)
- Mimir (46,569 characters)
- Baldur (59,839 characters)
- Heimdall (66,999 characters)
- Freya (59,372 characters)
- Sindri and Brok (54,551 characters)
Referencial Pages/Sections...
- Normal Humans (54,119 characters)
- Kratos's Family (9,659 bytes)
- Greek Gods (114,307 characters)
- Athena (11,352 characters)
- Ares (20,944 characters)
- Persephone (7,298 characters)
- Thanatos (2,185 bytes)
- Other Beings (78,851 characters)
- Orkos (2,306 bytes)
- Pandora (3,036 bytes)
- The Furies (9,961 bytes)
- Norse Gods (137,284 characters)
- Aesir Section (119,353 characters)
- Vanir Section (16,276 characters)
- Freyr (9,971 bytes)
- Hildisvíni (2,356 bytes)
- Other Characters (149,559 characters)
- Faye (35,673 characters)
- Freyr's Resistance (6,455 bytes)
Kratos will understandably be a pain to deal with, given how titanic his page is at this point, and I would need some consultation and help on how his page could be sorted out.
I can see Zeus being merged back without issue, but I was tinkering along the line of making a page for Main Antagonists to include him, Ares, Thanatos, The Furies, and Baldur, which would potentially result in a page with 148,307 characters. I could add Thor as well to bump it up to 226,116 characters, but I do need to check whether it's large/close enough. Odin will likely keep his CSP page as it's already too large to be placed on any other pages.
I can propose a new page simply titled Kratos's Family which would include Atreus, Faye, Callisto, Calliope, Lysandra, and Deimos, which would amount to around 128,747 bytes. This proposed page only focuses on Kratos's direct family members and not the greater Greek lineage which includes the gods, of course.
Another potential page is Supporting Characters which would cover two sections; the Greek Era for Athena, Orkos, and Pandora, and the Norse Era for Freya, Mimir, Sindri/Brok, and Freyr's Resistance (Freyr and Hildisvíni included), which would amount up to 195,968 characters (I'm not including other minor supporting cast at the moment because of potential bloat) The only trouble I'm facing here is that the Vanir God section would feel too barren and Freya would be the only notable bumper in that regard, plus the Aesir sections seem to cover most of the byte size/used character
Just going through all the non-CSP character pages makes me feel that the GOW pages feel quite disconnected and unorganized to an extent I'm thinking that a mass cleanup might be recommended in this case, not just for the CSP pages either. Either way, going through all of this was a huge pain for me, so I'll leave it at that for now + I'll just wait for feedback and see what's the best options to go for.

"Money is the goddamn plan! Have some faith, y'all!"For Kratos: Separate page(s) for Greek and Norse era?
Also, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012): The Triceratons is a thing, but not indexed.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsMarvel Cinematic Universe has a few pages in the Villain section that can be either merged back or changed into smaller groups.
- MCU: Sharon Carter (44,414) - Change to Power Broker and add Selby and Dr. Wilfred Nagel
- MCU: Ulysses Klaue (45,375) - Change to Klaue's Gang
- MCU: Arthur Harrow (46,870) - Change to Disciples of Ammit
- MCU: Wilson Fisk (91,856) and MCU: Benjamin Poindexter (64,257) can be merged back into MCU: Criminals & Terrorists – Fisk Crime Ring (72,733)
- MCU: Adrian Toomes (62,473) can be merged with MCU: Criminals & Terrorists – Vulture's Gang (65,173)
- MCU: Ronan (51,268) can be merged with MCU: Kree (79,631) and his variant can be moved to MCU Multiversal Foes (43,480)

Going back to Breaking Bad, there's a few pages Im confused are still around that could be merged:
Breaking Bad: DEA and Police (16,005)
Breaking Bad: Madrigal Electromotive (31,658)
Breaking Bad: Aryan Brotherhood (75,117)
Breaking Bad: Other Criminals (37,212)
Breaking Bad: Other Civilians (47,049)
Madrigal, the Brotherhood and Other Criminals could probably all be combined. And DEA and Civilians could be merged into a new page, though idk under what title it'd be.
There's also an issue where a lot of these characters also appear in Better Call Saul and have folders unique to that show, even though it's all one continuity.
