Hello. I'm an ordinary user that started using TV Tropes at the end of 2021 for curiosity, but after that I became addicted by this website (and probably ruined my life). You can find me on Image Pickin' threads most of the time, and sometimes I suggest some images for imageless pages, or others that already has page but they could improved, expect some being collages because I became a little obsessed about that.

I discovered recently that I have Autism, specifically Asperger's Syndrome, which makes sense for me because I'm not the best when it comes to have a conversation with someone. I also have a strong critical sense, when I see a work, even the slightest flaw can bother me a little, so not every work that I like is considered perfect or 10/10 for me (although there is some works that is considered perfect for me like Coraline, Undertale and The Shawshank Redemption).

    Favorite Tropes

  • Chick Magnet: For me, the best way to make the main character likeable is giving a lot of good qualities, like being nice to other people for example. With these qualities, he can expect a lot of girls (and even some boys) to express some romantic interest for him and obviously being a subject for a Launcher of a Thousand Ships. This also applies to Dude Magnet.

  • Cruel Mercy: Sometimes killing a terrible character is simple too easy, sometimes what they really need is a much more humiliating and well deserved karma. While I really like when a jerkass character gets killed, giving them a horrible fate is much more satisfying to me, especially if it is a Hate Sink character which most of them get this fate.

  • Cyberpunk: Futurist things are something that I always loved, and Cyberpunk has a lot of these elements. It's because of this trope that I became fascinated of other aesthetics and "Punk" genres, not to mention that I strongly believe that one day we will live in a Cyberpunk environment, considering how technology is evolving, and our humanity life is decreasing.

  • Magnificent Bastard: For me, a good Villain/Anti-Hero/Anti-Villain is someone who is charismatic, smart, badass, and really important for the story and characters, these are the Magnificent Bastards. Despite being the bad guys, I like to see them in action due to their cool and unique qualities, not to mention that they are usually impossible to hate (although there are some exceptions, this is very rare).

  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Nothing is more satisfying than a character delivering harsh but true arguments about why a certain character is a terrible person due to their personality or their actions, considering that sometimes, words hurt much more than punches. You can expect these tropes to be the main key for a Character Development, Heel Realization, or other similiar tropes. This seems to be a very popular trope in this website, and honestly I don't blame it.

    Least Favorite Tropes

  • Hate Sink: A controversial one, if there is something that I truly dislike is someone who is only purpose is to be hated by the audience and nothing more, sometimes they are so irrelevant for the story that they give a little to no impact for the work and the characters. Some characters may have some importance but most of them are important only for another character. Now there is some Hate Sink characters that I like, not because of their personality, but due the big importance for the plot and the characters.

  • Karma Houdini: The reason is pretty self-explanatory, a character not getting their commeupance for their atrocious acts is frustrating specially if you combine this with the Hate Sink trope. I also don't like if the character got their commeupance but it is not entirely shown or is not enough in comparison for what they did. Just like the Hate Sink reason above, there is some exceptions, specially if it is a Magnificent Bastard one.
