I don't think so; the former trope is specifically about a duo, where the Straight Man is solo. In this case, I don't believe the Joker is always teamed up with Luthor, so it fits Straight Man better.
A straight man can not exist without at least 1 wise guy. To show one without the other isn't the trope, it would just be a random serious guy.

Then why on earth do we have a separate trope for the Straight Man? It feels like having just the duo trope would work.
Because Straight Man and Wise Guy is about the duo, you could be the Only Straight Man in a cast full of crazies or do the one off punchline for a one time only guest star.
It's more of a Boke and Tsukkomi Routine but Yuyushiki for example is 1 straight woman and 2 wise girls as the main cast.

A Straight Man can work off of events as well, or character simlar to a wise guy but not quite that trope.
Anyway, I think it works well as it is, since the focus of the image is on the Straight Man, due to the Joker's pose.
Check out my fanfiction!Same, the contrast makes it clear who the trope is and provides context that just a picture of someone looking stern by themselves wouldn;t.

...wut?
Anyway, yeah, this is going to take a wise guy to show the difference and not being just some random dude.
"You could be the Only Straight Man in a cast full of crazies." That sounds like Only Sane Man, if anything.
Anyway, I agree with the OP. It couldn't be any clearer: the current pic in Straight Man shows the Straight Man and Wise Guy, a duo. Therefore, the pic should be in the duo trope. If Straight Man must exist (I still don't understand why, anyway), then perhaps it doesn't need a pic.
If you have a problem with a trope existing, take that to TRS.
However, it does, so having a picture is better than not having a picture. "It doesn't need a picture," is nonsense unless you can bring up a legitimate reason for why this trope page works better without an image. "I don't get why the trope exists" is not a legitimate reason.
Check out my fanfiction! How do you propose to show someone being a Straight Man without someone wackier to contrast him against?
My point is simple enough. The straight man should be described along with the wise guy in the same page, just like Boke and Tsukkomi Routine. That's why I think there's only need for one trope and one picture. Surely discussing this at TRS would help matters, but for now, I agree with the OP and suggest that the pic showing the duo be moved to the duo trope.
No. That is trying to conflate two entirely separate tropes into one. Straight Man and Wise Guy is specifically about paired characters who fit that role, with Fat and Skinny and Boke and Tsukkomi Routine as specific iterations. Straight Man is one person who acts in that role against most or all of the cast.

Ohhh. OK, OK, got it. Then I guess it's fair enough to leave the tropes as they are. This means, though, that we need two different pictures: one with the straight man surrounded by a whole lot of "wise guys" (for Straight Man), and one with the straight man and just one wise guy (for Straight Man and Wise Guy). For the latter, the one that's currently in Straight Man will do.

Sane means they just gotta be sane, The Straight Man is a specific role to other members the cast. The wise guy could be sane but likes to joke around.
Tales Of Graces for example has sane if goofy characters and has Hubert play The Straight Man to the antics of the party, Hubert is also extremely quirky with OCD, Tsundere, and a Closet Geek for Sentai thus not the Only Sane Man.

I like it.
I do too.
Is there a group shot from MythBusters that has everyone except Jamie acting silly? That would be a good way to show the Straight Man against more than one person.
The Straight Man is separate because a Straight Man can playoff against any a multiple other characters, not just a Wise Guy: You can have a straight man and a wise guy (or wise guys) but you can also have a straight man and The Ditz (Abbott and Costello), a straight man and several other characters of different sorts (like Margaret Dumont to The Marx Brothers — a Wise Guy (Groucho), a Ditz (Chico) and a Manchild (Harpo) )

''“You want a planet? I’ll give you a planet! Heck, I’ll give you your own solar system! No, I’ll give you a house... in Boca Raton!16 is good for Straight Man and Wise Guy.
(Annoyed grunt)Since that one doesn't have a pic, I'm going to go with, "Sure, why not?"
Check out my fanfiction!Clock is set. I'm good with Deadpool/Cable for Straight Man and Wise Guy.
The clock's up. I've put the Deadpool/Cable pic on Straight Man and Wise Guy and tagged both pages; locking up.
Since both the Straight Man and Wise Guy are pictured on Straight Man, wouldn't it be better to move the image from the latter to the former?
