Would have preferred Orochi 4. :\
I guess this is their way out of managing 100+ characters.

this place needs me hereWell looks like we're finally getting that Atelier Warriors. Just not the way we all thought we would.
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2I've been on a Warriors deficit for an entire console generation, ever since KOEI fucked up royal with DW 6. So this is kinda me coming back in on the waves of a supernova. Can't wait to see just how big this gets.
Definitely not absolutely everyone, but big names will be there.
Honestly, I can't believe we don't have a general Musou/whatever Warriors page.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I tend to prefer quantity of franchises over just sheer quantity of characters. I'd expect Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors to have more "weight" than some of the others, but I'd still like to see variety and balance.
Which they totally seem to be doing, given that Opoona tease. Not just because he's a cute-ass non-human thing, but also because he comes from a game that AFAIK Koei only has publisher credit for. That leaves the figurative floodgates pretty wide open.
Games by Koei Tecmo and it's subs.
Aside from licenced games like Hyrule Warriors or Dynasty Warriors Gundam, most games on that list likely have a chance to appear in Musou Stars. I personally want Gitaroo Man, Dana, Rygar, Suezo and a Tecmo Bowl Football Player in the game.

Gavan, Let's get jiggy!Bo Jackson in a Warriors game may be the greatest thing ever.
Hopefully we will get Rorona, Totori or Meruru in this I want to nuke the battlefield with little snowman bombs and Uni.
Looking through that Wikipedia page is getting me more and more hyped. I never realized until now just how much crazy potential this has.
Looking through the sim games, Uncharted Waters actually has characters that could be used, maybe having them fight while summoning ship armaments and stuff. They've already given Huang Gai a fucking boat for a weapon, so we already have precedent.
I've been wanting Zack and other Dead or Alive characters in Warriors Orochi, but they'd probably fit better here. I was also recently introduced to Rio Rollins, who showed up in one of the DOA Extreme games but actually comes from her own set of gambling-based pachinko games. And that sounds pretty sweet.
Oh, and do you know Koei Tecmo has a mascot? His name is Nyabraham Linnyahn, and I almost died typing that.

I take it we do not have any Atelier Series fans in here?
They exist, but keep in mind that we can't even get a thread that doesn't immediately die.
So the mascot is Cat Lincoln? Time to use log cabins as weapons!
Gavan, Let's get jiggy!I haven't played any of the Atelier games, so I have no strong opinions.
It was a joke before, but now I seriously want Bo Jackson in this game. It's Crazy Awesome, he's essentially Tecmo Bowl's Lu Bu (in the sense that he's a major Game-Breaker), the game is already going to have fictionalized real people, and this JUST happened.
@Memers I don't play that many Atelier games but I do like them. Hopefully Mana Khemia or some characters from Atelier Iris show up.

Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2Discounting Opoona (since it's extremely obvious) and Lu Bu (since it's right in the thumbnail), the above video highlights 3 of the background silhouettes as potential characters: Ishida Mitsunari, Horo, and Plachta.
The Koei Warriors forum thread mentioned in-video (which can be found here) has since found possible matches for Ayane, Xiahou Dun, and The Regent of the Mask.
Slight tangent: should we make a trope page for this yet?

If we have enough info for the plot I would say so.
The first◊ new reveal◊ is Millenia from Deception. Given the nature of her game, there's good indication she'll be a Trap Master.

Oy, a character from an 18-year-old game. This gives promise to what the game's roster is gonna be like!
Gavan, Let's get jiggy!Damn, I will going to make a post about it in the Dynasty Warriors thread, ah well, now I don't have to.
Well, the game is using the DW8 engine by the looks of it, and I've heard it's only gonna feature around 30 characters, so I guess this is their answer for another Orochi game. Could be interesting, but right now there's not much to go on. I just hope it's not gonna be as grindy as DW8XL.
Only 30 characters? This make Bo Jackson seem a lot less likely. Which makes me sad.
... Actually that was pretty disappointing that there's only about 30 characters. One of the main charms of Musou games are the Loads And Loads Of Characters. And now, there goes my chance of the DW 8 and SW 4 cast to join in the Orochi fun. And not to mention, I'd say that the DW/SW representatives wouldn't be people I would be most interested as. No Tokugawa because Koei-Tecmo has a boner for the Sanada, and probably there's no Three Peach Garden bros of Shu (Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei).
Oh well, at least I can still enjoy Guan Yu in another game.
There was an interview a day or two ago that mentioned the 30-character-roster bit. Basically it boils down to not wanting to be too much like WO (which had as much as it did by just dumping in DW and SW's entire rosters) and wanting "deeper interpretations", whatever that means.
Also, scans incoming.
Characters from all over Koei Tecmo's franchises are gonna fight in a new Musou/Warriors game for the PS4 and PSVITA in 2017.
Any thoughts?
Gavan, Let's get jiggy!
