Escape from Carcero - A Crossover/OC Prison RP (Brainstorming/Interest Check)

I've had this idea for an RP for a while, and now I'm here to present this RP to you. The premise of this RP is simple: The characters have for one reason or another have been captured by a inter-universal group and has been sentenced to live in the planet Carcero. Being incarcerated in Carcero, the characters are inserted in a unforgiving, totalitarian environment, guarded by the toughest people in the known universes. It has gained a reputation as an impenetrable and inescapable planet, which the only way to get out of the prison is death - at least unless these characters can succeed when so many others have failed. They may also figure out more about the prison planet they are inhabiting and maybe find out the real reason they find themselves on Carcero.

You can play as an established character or an OC, as either a prisoner or a guard^note For the guards, their main objective is to prevent an escape attempt by any means necessary, but they can also help with their escape plan. There's a limit of 2 characters per player (though this can be interchangeable depending on the way the RP goes) and the Super Weight limit is for characters that are up to and including Hyper Weight:4. NP Cs will be handled by me, but if you so desire, and have no ideas for your own characters to play as, here's a list of planned NP Cs you can play as yourself (More may come at a later time).

Here we can discuss ideas and ask questions about the world and do some general brainstorming on the RP. If there is any characters you have in mind that you would like to reserve for the eventual sign-up, you can also express it here. All suggestions are welcome.

I'm interested to join this RP with two guard characters.

Is it acceptable if I be a severely weakened Eldritch Abomination ?

As long as said character falls at or under Hyper Weight in the Super Weight scale, you can go right ahead.

They'be a solid Six if they were at their full power, but their true "form" (Presence would be more accurate) is completely unable to enter most universes, so it uses avatars that are a good four.

It's avatar has been further knocked down to a two through it's imprisonment - being completely incorporeal, with a weak Brown Note being the worst it can do at this point, and it's main weapon would be telepathically communicating flattery and temptation.

Your characters would be fine as long as nothing they have is completely game breaking and they fall under or at level 4. Your characters seem OP, but as you explained it, if there's nothing game breaking about them (as they sound like weakened vessels), I think you'll be fine.

Wait, I just got an idea. What if you, as the GM, played the role of Warden as well as GM?

That's what I had planned on doing. The NP Cs would be my responsibility as GM with the Warden being the NPC I'll play the most often.

If you're interested in the RP, but have no characters in mind, on the OP, is a list of NPC characters you can pick and play as. If you want to play an NPC, say it here and reserve them for the sign up.

I was actually contemplating Satsuki as a character choice, although I'm currently leaning more towards Mamizou Futatsuiwa.

Also, I'm going to assume that this probably won't be a concrete-and-iron-bars sort of prison?

You can still reserve her if you like. All of those NP Cs are open for anyone to play as if they so please. As for the prison itself, it won't be a traditional iron-bar prison. It would have 6 landmasses, 5 of which houses the prisoners in question, and the centeral landmass containing the higher ups that run the world and orders the guards around. Each landmass (sector in this case) would house prisoners based on the severity of their "crime", and would be subject to different types of treatment (Sector 1 being as lenient as Carcero allows to Sector 5, housing the worst of the worst). I would liken these sectors to Arkham City, where it's open-world, but confined in their own segregated area.

I was initially a bit skeptical of this concept, but hearing some of the setting details, if a bit vague, has piqued my interest somewhat.

Considering the upper bounds is a super weight 4, I might try working in some characters that I usually wouldn't even consider doing. I've got a few ideas for characters, but I'll probably mention them when I've got a good list for what I might want to play as. Probably will go for a prisoner or something.

Yeah, what I want the setup of this RP to be is to have it have one overarching story, but also support freeform interactions with the other characters. I'm looking for the tone of the RP to be familiar with that of Arkham City in which the prisoners on each sector can band together to fight and escape Carcero or work it alone and try and forge their own way of escaping. Guard characters also follow this internal struggle, wheter or not to help the prisoners within Carcero, or to simply follow the orders of the Warden.

Captain America and Eddard Stark maybe. Or Alucard.

I'm definitely sure of who I'm gonna play as, but I think I'll leave it until I make my sheet, as a surprise. ;)

It seems interesting to me. Question: Would a character that is an OC, designed to fit into a canon 'verse (a 'fic OC) be acceptable? I'm kinda wanting to play a character from the fic I'm currently writing myself, which is a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon fic (and yes, she is a common pokémon, not a Legendary, so power scale stuff is a non-issue).

I'm calling dibs on Two-Face (specifically, his Batman Forever incarnation) as a prisoner.
