So for those that didn't read the Manual, Destiny Drive Third is set in an alternate universe where Humanity acquired advanced alien technology during World War II, resulting thus in a vastly more advanced society (in addition to the United Nations being something of a superpower). Destiny Drive Third is also primarily focused on the various Conflicts of humanity, varying from Fantastic Racism, to criminal organizations, and on front center- The Eldritchians, bizarre genocidical creatures that prompted the re-employment and development of combat-spec Armors.

Destiny Drive Third, in short, is intended as a Heavily Playing With roleplay, focused equally on exploring the characters & setting. There will be darker moments, but there'll also be happier moments- Essentially, a roleplay that's meant to behave like life, events unfolding as they do because of the characters and not some arbitrary idea of seriousness.

I'll happily answer any questions I'm given, and in fact prefer you do. Oh, and the Destiny Drive Third tropes page will eventually be updated/remade! In fact, feel free to mess around with it so far! Finally, I'll also use the Characters Page to better introduce everyone to the characters of Destiny Drive Third.

I'd like to know more about the different kinds (and possible "classifications") of enemies the characters will face:

Are there Kaiju sized Eldrithchian mutants and other kind of giant abominations besides the proper Eldrithchian? What about human factions in open conflict against "The Big Three"? What other kinds of threats should we anticipate to fight?

Also, I'd like to inform that I'll be working as KK's right-hand man during this story... A Co-GM of sorts if you will... Though, I prefer the term consigliere better, because it sounds badass, while also being more descriptive of what I'll be doing.

Well, becoming a giant Fey Touched would require extremely long exposure to liquid Eldritchian matter- Or consuming an obscene amount of their bodies. Either way, it would take too long for a humanoid Fey Touched to go Kaiju before a CACHE Cleaner unit comes by. However, other forms of life can be infected. Though, that leads into question two...

The Eldritchians are the only primary "Giant Monsters", though there are various denizens of the Vitality Underground who have done experiments. Thus, pretty much any alternative "Giant Monster" would be a product of the Vitality Underground. In many cases they're either failed attempts at making Artificial/Cloned Eldritchians, or a berserk (Bio) Armor. Now for question three & four!

The Vitality Underground is a prime example of an antagonist Faction, being a cesspool of crime and villainy. Typical encounters with them would involve stolen technology/resources from the "Big Three", attempts to harness illegally acquired Eldritchian matter, and some exploration of Fantastic Racism (primarily in regards to Arts).

There's also a religious antagonist Faction, being people who believe (or not) that the Eldritchians really are Divine. They're headed by seven individuals who are called Archangels (powerful Fey Touched individuals) primarily, though not all activity of the Faction is controlled by the "Archangels". Dealing with them, however, is the main way religion and the Eldritchians' impact on it gets explored.

In addition, there may occasionally be a rogue element, like Disgraced/Fallen/Broken Heroes, villainous Skyblazers, and so on. There's also some plans for the Cybernetics Unbound Faction to play major roles, given they're more or less Elysium's police force.

V speaks the truth, even bringing forth his own set of Nonplayer Characters to help liven things up and establish DDT as a living breathing world. Speaking of, if you guys hurl various different Tropes at me, I'll go into detail to how it applies to Destiny Drive Third. The Futuristic Tech Index & Robot Roll Call are good starts, though I will put serious effort to respond to any random Trope thrown at me.

Now, what should we expect from our first Eldritchian encounter, once that rolls around?

Is it going to be Tentacle Man?

Well, given I want to drive it in that judging an Eldritchian by look is bad, the first Eldritchian Boss Fight would most likely be a Lethal Joke. Though regarding Tentacle Driller, I'll already used him as the First Eldritchian in the previous attempts. Still, he'll probably be the second or third Eldritchian Boss Fight.

Though upon reflection- Things'll need to be done so everyone doesn't just mob a Boss. Thus why I requested to know a lot about the Player Characters and everyone's posting rate. Thus, within your Character's chosen Faction, it would help if you guys established their interpersonal relations with other Player Characters.

Hmmm... What can you tell us about Powered Armors in this setting?

Which factions use them the most? How they differ amongst factions? Any information about them in general would be dearly appreciated.

Well, given the Mechanical Armors are called Armors regularly, Powered Armor thus has a different name- Personal Aegis. Personal Aegis actually got their start by downsizing Mechanical Armor technology, though there are some World War II relics of weaponized battle uniforms.

I would say there's about an equal split between Einmal & Seed regarding Most Personal Aegis Usage. For Einmal, Personal Aegis are primarily used for Mechanical Armor operation, and a last ditch defense should the Wunderwaffen somehow get wrecked.

For Seed Esper, most of their Personal Aegis usage ultimately isn't closely tied with Mechanical Armors. Sure many of their Icarus-Class VESTA require Personal Aegis, but truthfully Seed Esper is focused more on the Mundane Utility of Personal Aegis- For example, medical applications. Though, that flows into Question Two.

All three Factions have access to relatively mundane Personal Aegis technology, though they also have unique Personal Aegis lines. For example, Einmal Personal Aegis uses some of the greater Alten advances, typically making these Personal Aegis highly good at defense & offense.

Seed Esper, on the other hand, tends to make Personal Aegis filled with Psych Devices- Thus, either allowing someone usage of stimulated Psychic Powers, or serving as an Amplifier Artifact for a Psychic. However, Psychic Aegis can and do suffer malfunctions, making them rather unpredictable for long-term no-maintenance operations.

Finally, CACHE incorporates their Shackled Faerie technology into Personal Aegis, which is how the CACHE Council can pull off impressive feats when dealing with matters themselves. Furthermore, its also harder to compromise given the organic components- Though, its also risky to wear, as one could end up Fey Touched if it gets damaged. That, and the Unseelie Effect applies to a lesser though more troubling degree, so Artificial Fae commonly don't use Faerie Aegis derived from their "parent".

I've got another question: Do any of the Big Three use a Propaganda Machine in order to manipulate the general public's perception? Are there any other organizations that could use propaganda in order to advance their agenda?

Well, Einmal admittedly doesn't really bother with Human politics other than the Eldritchians. However, they do try to take advantage of Human political issues, and thus- They tend to address some stuff alongside their negative emphasis on CACHE's willingness to apply Eldritchian biology.

CACHE, inversely, are rather concerned about political issues- Though admittedly, more when its about Fantastic Racism and Eldritchians. Thus, they'll focus on abuse of artifical life first before abuse of natural life for example. There's really no love for Einmal given their conflicting nature, though CACHE prefers to explain themselves & the Potential Applications of Eldritchians instead of tearing Einmal a new one.

Seed Esper, being concerned with profit so they can actually fund & develop all their projects, pretty much promote themselves and get backers. So they pretty much only deal with politics when it benefits them. Though, given how amazed they are be Psychics, Fey Touched, and Skyblazers they do tend to get vocal about them.

Regarding other organisations- The "Archangels" strongly despise Einmal, and also strongly insult CACHE given they interfere too. In fact, the "Archangels" do not like anyone who contributes to the death and imprisonment of Eldritch lifeforms. Thus they're highly supportive of Fey Touched & rogue Natural Fae. Though once you get past the Eldritchian "angel-worship" and their violent Pro-Eldritchian attitude, the true believers do genuinely care about improving Earth's native lifeforms- Though they do want the Altens and Skyblazers eliminated, so...

The Vitality Underground is too loosely organized and secretive to deal with politics- Though unsurprisingly, they can be real jerks to anyone that isn't baseline human. Still, they're more concerned with doing their thing so they ultimately don't care too much if you're gonna feed their business.

Finally, Cybernetics Unbound... The proper members are all decent people who want to make things better, so they're basically a bunch of scouts. Though they're too wary of the Big Three to really work with them to any significant degree. The less virtuous and/or stable "members" tend to take a political issue to an extreme- Or exploit their position.

Potentially variant, though at the least Cybernetics Unbound would be a fully recognized force due to functionally being Elysium's police force. The primary Vitality Underground appearances would be about crime, such as them having illegally collected Eldritchian material or stolen Wunderwaffen & Seelie parts.

The "Archangel" Faction (known as a variety of derisive names, such as Unseelie Court, Cult of Eldon, and The False Apostles) is, admittedly, something of a main antagonistic force following behind the Eldritchians. So they'll appear often enough.

Ultimately though, what kind of events & characters everyone faces is dependent on what kind of story you're trying to go for. So for example, I'm not gonna throw Eldritchian Sympathy plots at Seth, since he'll just violently defy the intention. Thus...

I really need to know what you guys want to do with your characters in Destiny Drive Third. Just saying "whatever" or "you decide" doesn't help me in the least. I encourage In-Character behavior for starters, so think about what your character wants to do if you're having trouble giving an answer.

For Seth, I was thinking of doing something along the lines of where things were headed in the original RP. Like, maybe he starts out at an Einmal medical center checking in on someone he rescued—which should be helpful in playing up his more human side, not just his "witty action hero" traits—before he gets called in for another mission.

What my characters would do? Well...they'd just try to take down whatever Eldritchian treat they can, trying to help. SEED Esper probably isn't the best faction to do that, seeing, as far as I can tell, they don't really care that much (beyond basic survival) when dealing with Eldritchians. But that's why I wrote Lance's reasons.

As for myself, I made these two because I wanted to see what others think of an Interspecies Romance. As well as add a little variety seeing as I rarely see people RP a couple.

Arika would mainly hang around at CACHE, repairing mechas and avoiding people. Until someone damages one of her babies, and then they will get chased around by a wrench until they apologise.

In battles, she would work on damaged mechas there, and her AGI would cover her back. She prioritieses saving lifes over defeating the foe.

For her introduction, one of the CACHE pilots can come back with a damaged mecha, and face her wrath.

I'm wondering what my introductory post for Magnus will be like...

I also just realized that the Grand Maul is going to be the Wyvern Lord's main weapon — I'm thinking about giving it different "cores". Each one would have some special gimmick to it. A Froststorm core, a Flamestrike core... maybe even a Shockwave core, if I'm allowed. The cores would also serve as the catalysts for the breath weapon in Dragon Morph. The Shockwave core breath attack would emit a cone of high-energy sound. (CALLBACKS EVERYWHERE!)

Well, since it is already an experimental VESTA/Gigan hybrid, I imagine the cores would be biological units sampled from different types of Skyblazers? Though regarding everyone's first post...

I suggest using it for an Establishing Character Moment, flashbacks, and general character building/exposition. That, and the current location & activity when you post influences my actions.

Speaking of, I'll do between 3 and 5 segments for the opening post. The CACHE/Einmal/Seed segments would set up some general stuff, like new Armors being developed for example. The other two potential segments would deal with the CACHE Council and the "Archangels". Though I might do a sixth one, simultaneously dealing with Cybernetics Unbound and the Vitality Underground.

That reminds me, you guys don't necessarily have to wait for me to throw you a bone. So outside of a Mission, you can do whatever.

Besides, you know the character to whom the missing profile belongs won't be very active during this first Episode due to circumstances we've already discussed... So, there isn't any hurry for me to complete her profile ASAP.

With Claire, and all the other NPCs I'll be helping with, we should have more than enough.

Okay, so being/feeling forced to do things isn't fun. However with seven segments for the Opening Post, all of which is meant to Establish things- The Opening Post will be big, and crucially important I do right. So this isn't something I should rush, yet everyone has been waiting so long...

The main question, then, is if everyone is still interested in Destiny Drive Third. I can start up a secondary, less complex Roleplay to run alongside DDT as well.
