I know this time I'm horribly late in writing about ep 12, as I'm not sure how to arrange this.
Episode 12: To Whom Does the Crown Shine? (Anime Original)
Anime / Manga divergence note: The election has been concluded in the manga, but the manga does not seem to be ending soon. I'm not going to spoil unless someone specifically ask me to do so in the replies.
- Fukushina fantasizing the social phobic monarch. But Akane show up normal. OK, how should he re-position her, then?
- An, at last, appears.
- Akane may not be as shy, but it's crystal clear that she's still an airhead.
- So... Kanade's thing about dictatorship in episode 10... was serious? But why?
- Kanade's comment on the other siblings needs to be reproduced here. (In the manga, it'd be Misaki who would do it, as Kanade would be overly biased.)
- Aoi secretly watches over everybody.
- Shuu thinks about us and the citizens. (Hm, "citizens?")
- Akane is considerate to others despite her shyness.
- Misaki's Chronic Hero Syndrome.
- Haruka supports everyone quietly.
- Hikari works hard... even it's for something completely different
- Teru is small but the most eager.
- Shiori is truly kind. (Is she? Officially she's Not Good With People?)
- "I'm sorry getting you dragged into Dad's whims."
- So, it's Shuu's campaign, or Hana's?
- The first time in anime we say Haruka being the Chick Magnet.
- Misaki stated the obvious: the eldest 4 are the main characters. And then the way she reacts to Haruka's line... really makes me want to reclassify that twincest as main-text.
- Hm, you can got this kind of info from talking to a dictionary?
- I don't know what Aoi's tears here means, in fact.
- Aoi, you're outing Absolute Order word-by-word in anime? We viewers have decided in this very wiki that it's not really a good thing!
- So Hana's father appears as Last Episode, New Character. He's the male with the hat who sits next to Hana—those who have read Shuu's proposal to Hana should recognize him.
- There were too many disputes surrounding the airship occasion—I'll skip commenting on it.
- Shuu wins.
- The following relates to the ending montage.
- Aoi's college major was never mentioned even in the manga. But the fact that Kanade said she has memorized the country's laws (Chapter 16/Episode 6B), I guess it's law.
- Kanade's studying medicine—many anons don't like this development, seeing her better off finding a career more suitable for a Young Entrepreneur.
- Do Teru and Shiori need to stay in the castle to assist Shuu? I thought this goes against the "live like a commoner" policy?
- Akane... well, by this time she's really nondescript.
A few further comments on this series in general.
- I think everyone noticed this is the least Kirara-looking series of non-Forward Kirara series that gets animated, at least since Doujin Work, in that:
- Puni Plush is not the art style,
- Girls have realistic proportions and were sexualized in-universe,
- Males get important roles, and
- Actually have serious sub-plots.
- I have previously said this work may have streaks of Author Appeal. These days, I also started to wonder when the Peeping Tom trope has a role in this series' concept. I recall a gag in The Comic Artist and his Assistants where Aito proposed the idea of "Panty Shot without the Panty Shot"—it wasn't drawn, but it is hinted enough that readers can imagine over it—and the fact that the city is peppered with cameras should be enough for Mr Osaka himself to do peeping tom to the several princesses. (I personally think Fukushina is the author surrogate.)
- The imageboards noticed this is IMS best work, animation quality-wise.
- May I have a word or two about Aoi? Episode 6B somehow gave me an alert that I may need to drop this series out of Angst Aversion—part of the reason should already been obvious, but the other reason is she may be a bit of an Innocent Prodigy, which is a kind I still dig for. The combination would be disastrous for more cynical works, but in here is dramatic enough to be interesting, but not too much to put me off. She still kind of always on verge of tears, though.
One more official image◊.

Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaI actually would like to know who won in the manga.
The BD seems to have uncensored Akane's panties in Episode 1B◊. (Link NSFW)
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaThe usual scanlation group finally posted their re-do on Volume 1 and translation for Chapter 12.
By "Chapter 12" I mean the base material for episodes 4A and 5A, although there're also unanimated stuff in the manga too.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaOh, I should catch up with the manga. Thanks for posting this!
Chapter 13 released. Recall: it corresponds to Episode 7A.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaSpring Ephemeral released their Chapter 14 (the part about Hikari auditioning for an idol).
On the other hand... I just started to read /a/-translated Chapters 32-34. These entire chapters are really spoiler-worthy, to say the least.

Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaLet's say in the December 2016 issue of Kirara Miracle!, there seem to be a second girl who fall lesbian for Akane.
And, anyone here watched FU Nimation's dub?
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra Nova
Oh wow.
And no, haven't found a decent source for the localized dub yet.
There was one already?
Man, it's really been long since I watched this, I don't remember who that was. I will have to rewatch this show some day soon.
A winner is you, Shuu! Just couldn't resist going that route, huh? But it's cool, since his speech was just what everyone needed to hear. Heh, that was pretty nice. As was Shuu forgetting that he could've used teleport.
All in all, even if it was small, everyone experienced change.
Didn't think I'd find a gem in this season, but here it is. I enjoyed this Brady Bunch. Wait, I should say Modern Family since that's more...modern.
