Either the world of Pokémon, the Mushroom Kingdom, or heck, just about any Nintendo world.
TV worlds that I think would be cool to live in would be Ooo or Beach City.
"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."This is a rather hard question, as many fictional worlds provide benefits and other not-so-great things.
The best way to choose is via a sort of pros vs. cons analysis plus personal preferances.
For example, Lordran from Dark Souls would be a bad idea, considering that there is amazing architecture, but there's the undead curse, and horrible monsters everywhere.
I'm honestly not sure myself, but I think maybe the world of Katamari Damacy wouldn't be so bad.
I mean, you're reborn after you're rolled up, right?
NO! Don't go in there! You don't have to die! No one has to die at 30! You could live! LIVE! Live, and grow old!Harvest Moon, I think. Or feel, rather. I have dreams about living in a village that runs on Harvest Moon logic at least once a month, and the only downside to the experience is always waking up in a panic about my all my animals dying because I got too caught up wandering around, taking in the scenery and getting to know the locals. (The dreams always run on Harvest Moon time a la the original SNES game, so that there's never enough time in the day to stop and smell the roses.)
But it seems like a nice kind of world. Simple, but with a few touches of modern technology, where whatever different problems and personalities people have, they're all good at heart, and hard work and careful planning are consistently rewarded. And it's so pretty.
It's not a very reasonable choice, but it's just so free of strife.
Better to light one small candle than to curse the darkness. It may be free of strife, but would you be able to handle working so hard?
In such simple towns, you'll be working your butt off to provide for yourself or your family in the harvest moon worlds- unless you DO have the aid of Sprites.
NO! Don't go in there! You don't have to die! No one has to die at 30! You could live! LIVE! Live, and grow old!Well, if we're taking all the logic from the games, the sprites are very willing to help/can be won over with easily obtained gifts; besides that, staving off exhaustion from all the hard work is just a matter of having a nice meal or taking a hot spring break.
In any case, if farming isn't your thing, running a small business in town is apparently a pretty stress-free endeavour.
Better to light one small candle than to curse the darkness.Gensokyo.
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!I don't know. Ask me this a decade ago I'd say the DC Animated Universe, ask me three years after that I'd say the Ultimate Marvel Universe, ask me four years after that I'd say the Star Trek Universe, or even the Mass effect Universe, now I'll just say I'd love to live in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The Animal Crossing one you can earn money just by selling the store things directly you can just grab any food off trees (no worries about say them being private property) fossils are easily found sold and dug up, and you can easily transport furniture in your bag/pockets, heck it just seems like you can support yourself living on your own, and fairly comfortably without so much as having a steady job, get rid of the weirdly gender specific clothes (and I think the later games do), and hopefully less inane neighbours, and it's all good. Or Harvest Moon with a small business in town, but that seems kind of hereditary you get the farm from a relative, and most places seem to have their kids taking over.
The world of Pokemon would be pretty cool.
So would being a Hobbit in Middle Earth, though I don't think I've got the appetite to be a Hobbit.
Stupid doomed timeline...I'd choose either the Oblivion version of Cyrodiil or Pandaria.
I'm sort of tempted to say Thedas just to be ironic. ^_^;;
I like to keep my audience riveted.I once had a friend who made a very compelling argument for why she wanted to be a Pokemon Trainer and that Pokemon World was the best world to live in.
Think about it: It's such a safe world that adults regularly send out their children on journeys to discover nature. You get to have all kinds of pets (with superpowers!) and you can keep them in little containers on your belt. You even get to meet what are essentially nature-gods and have a chance to capture them if your team is strong enough.
I also regularly talk about wanting to find a portal to Hyrule. Hyrule isn't as safe or carefree as the Pokemon world, but it's a world of magic and heroism, rock people fish people, chickens you can glide around on and a whole bunch of amazing creatures all its own. Hyrule is also a very spiritual place. Belief in the gods and spirits seems to be commonplace, rather than something largely ridiculed, and people honor the spirits of their ancestors. Good and Evil are also fairly well-defined, much more so than in our world. (Restore balance, kill monsters). Not all monsters are bad, though. I actually have a theory about how monsters are created in Hyrule from the hidden darkness in the hearts of Hylians.
In which I attempt to be a writer.Digimon is the same way.
I like to keep my audience riveted.Middle-Earth.
Just fighting evil with a giant, thick, bushy beard and a giant hammer alongside my dwarven brothers and none of those FAITHLESS WOODLAND SPRITES!
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Even though I am not a Christian the World of Narnia would be pretty kick-ass. I would totally start an Ottoman-Empire-like state with the understanding of tactics and history that I know the original protagonists, didn't have.
They were just stupid kids; I would be a god.

Well met Friends! I say well met!The Narnia kids have jesus on their side though
Literally
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesYeah, Jesuslan is the hero of Narnia. You can't really compete with that without sacriligeously antagonising a magic lion.
Better to be the hero of a place where you can take credit for the grand plan.
Better to light one small candle than to curse the darkness. If I fought for the greater good Jesus might be on my side...
Or he would probably send a new batch of heroes to take me down, because there is no doubt in my mind that I would become a despot.
Well met Friends! I say well met!How about the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender?
I like to keep my audience riveted. The one that is devastated by a recent, and ongoing war? With most of the adults off to fight unless your city is actively suppressing the fact (Basingse)(sp?)) but the rest of the Earth Kingdom seems okay, the Fire Nation has schools and such but they seem to only teach propaganda, also apparently there are child terrorists who try to flood the civilian villages (Jet's group). So maybe certain parts of the Earth Kingdom would be okay, or maybe when you get to the time Legendof Korra is set.
Didn't Calormen try to start an Ottoman Empire stand-in in Narnia in Volume 7?
I like to keep my audience riveted.Neo Venezia. End of discussions.
It's a beautiful peaceful world, filled with kind people and there is always something new to find out about the place. Technology is just futuristic enough to not to feel any particular inconvenience as well (they have pretty good internet, for example).
Oh, and it's filled with beautiful girls, if that's your thing.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I think Los Santos would be paradise. Absolutely stunning health-care, extremely low car insurance rates, plenty of places to eat and live, and when it comes down to it some of the best night-time hotspots there could be!
Warning: This poster is known to the state of California to cause cancer. Cancer may not be available in your country. The Star Trek universe, TNG era preferably. Of course I would be quietly living on Earth, enjoying instantaneous transportation, free access to most commodities, perfect health, and holodecks (with my luck I know I would probably end up being drafted as Anonymous Console Technician #74 onboard the Enterprise).
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.
Where in Fiction Land do you wish you could live the most?
I like to keep my audience riveted.
