Why wouldn't you want your house taken over by cats?
Ryou's calendar has pictures of food
It occurs to me that I actually have no idea how to use charcoal. Always used wood for cook-outs
Roofcat is adorable
I don't think you needed to embrace her to check that, Ryou
I would review it in more detail later, but let us say this:
- Does Ryou actually have clinical depression? I won't list her under Ambiguous Disorder as I don't make disgnoses lightly, but I clearly have a hunch for it.
- Shiina's mom proposed giving Ryou "a box of muskmelons" or maybe some "raw ham" as return. Both of these are expensive stuff in Japan—you may have seen air-dried ham in the store, and as for muskmelons, it's at 4-digit yen each.

Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra Nova1000 yen is 8.4 dollars right?
Cooking saury is hard. But not as hard as washing dishes apparently. Looks like Ryou might get a partner in cooking one day. Also, cats.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences."You've murdered the flavor of every ingredient."
Ryou having to live alone since her grandma died must have been really hard on her. Why are anime parents always so damn useless?
Some "reviews" as promised.
- So... the field day thing moved from the last to this episode (making it one month later). And no longer the zoo. And it's just a one-day sketch. In the manga, Shiina invited the other two out of the blue.
- Kirin is so spoilt.
- As for Ryou's art, I don't have the eyes to give an opinion. But the fact that no food ingredients were involved made the art more normal, I guess.
- How much saury do the Shiinas receive each year so as to attract that many cats?
- You don't need a week to learn about the Shichiro. You just take two hours. Roasting the fish, however, is another story...
- Of course Kirin has reason to freeload. Anime didn't state it, but if Kirin is living in Ryou's, Kirin's family provide the food ingredients. Or why can Kirin carry some 96kg of stuff?
- I thought Kirin knew Shiina is a my pace girl already. This obviously include Brutal Honesty or even Innocently Insensitive.
- I expect WM Gs appearing as for why Tsuyuko is still a maidservant.
- Note most of the instructions were not in manga. They were obviously added for the viewers' benefit.
- Actually I heard the best way to arrange charcoal is to arrange it like a castle. Does Kirin knew combustion needs oxygen?
- Ryou is not used to being served. I don't know how her grandma taught her. Can I say it's a strange case of Chronic Hero Syndrome?
- Am I going to say the other two are Lethal Chef? They may just be inexperienced.
- I wonder if Shiina is immunosuppressed...?
- For the record: flu medication in Japan is strong stuff, including things that are illegal elsewhere. Let's say, Shin Lulu DX Gold, one most famous among parallel traders all over East Asia, includes Belladonna alkaloids and dihydrocodeine, among a few other ingredient that would be Rx in most countries. This stuff is OTC in Japan.
- Saury is an oily fish (like sardines). Spraying Febreze on Kirin's Sailor Fuku probably doesn't help with the smell.
- Next ep: Kirin makes bento for Ryou?
Ryou already out-feminines Detective Conan's Ran. This is very unusual.

Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaTsuyuko's so good, she had top chefs at her mercy. Yep, she's a Tootsuki alumnus.
Ah, saury. And another way of cooking saury(Learned a bit about saury from the aforementioned link).
Kirin and Shiina have a long way to go if they wanna be top cooks. Especially Shiina, since water is her natural enemy.
Yep, Tsuyuko has the makings of an Iron Chef.
Ryou enjoys helping others. Don't take that drug from her.
But she learns that depending on others can be quite delicious in a way.
Cats en masse! They know where the party's at.

Suddenly, non-cram school is relevant! And there's distinct characters at it!
The pattern tilts but still doesn't conform to the fabric. SHAFT: exploring new territory in Unmoving Plaid
Kirin should check the soles of her shoes
That is not power-walking
No bouncing breasts, I see
Lots of eating scenes this episode
Ryou's derpy practice running form.
She can literally taste the love.
Kirin may not be a Supreme Chef like Ryou, but it seems she isn't a Lethal Chef either.
...well, her initial plan would have definitely been hazardous to Ryou's health though.
Give the God Eater game thread some love!Sports are hard. Letting Kirin cook may be dangerous. Shiina gets to take all the risks. Ryou can certainly taste love, though others can't quite see it.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. The mystery of how Ryou stay slim deepens even more. That girl must have crazy metabolism.
So I'm just watching episode 6 now. I couldn't bring myself to watch it when it first aired because they were whining about the heat (yet again, anime) and it was fucking cold out. It's not quite as bad now, so I can finally catch up.
But dang, they do nothing but complain about the heat. It's because they're so fat on the inside, from eating so much.
Just rubbing it in. If there was a drinking game for how many times they complain....you'd be dead. And yes I'm complaining about their complaining.
Stop talking to yourself in front of the freezer, Ryou.
Ryou's tatas are fat on the outside.
You're wearing a towel, what does it matter who sees?
You probably won't get sick for eating a "winter" food in the summer. Like I really don't think stomachs work that way. You're probably the kind of person who eats ice cream in the winter too.
Mmmm spicy curry or ramen...
And now that that's over with, I can enjoy the rest of the season. But not right now.

Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Aaand episode 7.
Dude, cats coming from all over to your house just because they smell fish sounds like the best thing ever. You don't have enough for Ryou and Kirin, you have to feed all those cats!
Well, at least Kirin is good for something. Those were 8kg each!
Ewww entrails fish poop ewww.
The cats are already there!
Maybe you should wear gloves when you're applying chemicals. PPE is the way to be.
No, Tsukuyo, I don't think that makes up for what you just said.
Yeeeah very good episode but what about the kitties?
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.
The main thing is East Asians think the human digestion capacity is lower in summer than in winter. While the bean soup itself is relatively easy to digest, the rice cakes in it isn't, unfortunately.

Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaLeaving the oden alone with Ryou is dangerous. Kirin is bad at planning. Improving with adults though. Time to get drunk. Akira has her priorities straight. Now, just what was Shiina doing with her family?
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.I'd leave the review later on. But On Next Episode: Ramen As Dehydrated Noodles, and some discussion on Ryou's parents.
No, Ryou! You must resist the oden's irresistible aroma! You gotta do it for Kirin! You gotta—and resistance is futile.
Too lax, Kirin. You were just too lax.
Kirin's overcoming her fear of grown-ups at a steady pace.
Akira, no! What about spending more time with Ryou!? DARN YOU, BOOZE!!
..."Dangerous", you say? What's dangerous about your family's end-of-the-year tradition, Shiina?
OK, my review here.
- I guess Auntie is a Christmas Cake... not that it matters.
- Is Ryou teaching the viewers on cleaning up?
- Ramyasonyac TV.
- In manga, Kirin attempted to eat all new year's food... by just bringing 500 yen.
- Are you sure Shiina is just a "my pace" type...?
- The expectation of somebody eating with her seems to revive Ryou's sense of taste this time, so it seems. I actually wonder about Ryou's sense of taste on weekdays, though...
- Note: only 3 of 16 cars of a bullet train are for unreserved seating.
- Kirin's so a child.
- Last time, Kirin's getting cold. This time, it's Ryou. Any symbolism in that?
- The good thing is Kirin's parents pay for the food she consumes at Ryou's.
- Again, Akira's being the Bottle Fairy.
- Yuki left the apartment, but voiced the preview... what does that mean?
- OK, this ep has quite a bit of Adaptation Expansion.
No offense to Ryou and Kirin but I'd totally rather see what Shiina's family does on New Year's Eve.
Poor Ryou, it's New Year's Even and her parents won't even give her a call. Good thing she has Kirin now.
I've really been thinking that Ryou's parents were dead.
Watching episode 8.
Ryou's Girly Run is literally the worst.
Oh my gosh it got even worse in the actual event what is she even doing.
Kirin's food looked so delish, but only her most special person could love it.
I watched the last part of the episode with double rainbow (the original) playing in the background, I think it improved it a lot.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.
Well, before getting off to episode 7 later tonight. I'd give a note about manga-anime divergence in episode 6.
How the story started off in episode 6 was brief in that Kirin was just tired from the heat. Chapter 8, however, told a more complicated, but still not quite spoiler-worthy, backstory: The cram had a 4-day field trip at the neighbourhood zoo, but both Ryou and Kirin were too Genki in the first two days, and as a result overly exhausted on the third day. The rest of the chapter, basically animated verbatim, were about what the two did on the third day when Shiina thought they should go back and try drawing at home. As a result, Shiina's visit towards the end was, in the manga, checking how was those two's painting going.
