Oooh, have I ever.
Because, DANGIT, I want my Jaeger!
"The Stick has sentimental value. It's like an enormous, hideous teddy bear we can kill things with." -rikalousI want internet that doesn't suck
Oh really when?I always feel this way when I watch tech demos of stuff, especially Augmented Reality.
~PirkaI want metal legs and arms that are fully functional so I can do tasks much more intricate than what I can do now.
"Did you expect somebody else?"I get the feeling my job is going to make me end up with robot hands like Luke Skywalker. >.>
I like to keep my audience riveted. What do u do? Also that reminds me of that Hawaiian kid who got a 3d printed robot hand. FOR FREE! Lucky bastard
I serve timework in a grocery store.
I still want my shrink rays damn it.
Let's not.....go into why.
That's not physically possible without maybe bending the space and time around an object , hypothetically. Telepathy is possible thru electronic augmentation , but other things like backwards time travel are by their nature much harder to pull off. Also ur muscles might atrophy? I don't know , I'm hypothesizing here, but they might because of the square cube law

Again I refer to my friend who's said a lot of cool shit that seems way out there now has a very good chance of being real before I'm even old enough for AARP.
Hold me.
I want to be the crash test dummy for the sort of work that Adam Jensen got done in Human Revolution. The whole thing.
Dude.
I pretty find myself saying I Want My Jetpack, as in an actual Jet Pack, all the damn time.
I've earned it.....somehow.
One Strip! One Strip!I've often wondered how much easier my life would be if I were an advanced cyborg with implants giving me a constant access to an all-pervasive wireless mesh network. Alas, cyberware sucks these days.

You'd just be full of spyware and viruses and GCHQ would listen to all your thoughts...
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'This. I thought about the possiblity as well.
I want a nanobot so that it can enact a "Fantastic Voyage" Plot into my own body (and record all the data from the epic voyage) as it explores my own organs...

Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic SocialistI've had one, actually, many years ago. I wanted a device that could get me any TV show I wanted to watch whenever or wherever. I was so disappointed that Nickelodeon's VideoNow wasn't one and was just an extremely barebones "dvd" player.
I didn't expect to actually get it later on.

Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic SocialistI often wish I had some form of teleportation device that I could wear on my wrist. Go where-ever I wanted to, almost instantaneously.
Dying each time it was used would suck, though.
(Annoyed grunt)Every since I've played Mega Man X, I've wanted X's dash boots.
Why were you born in such a cruel, violent world? It's kinda funny, actually: I've been watching Chuck lately and the eponymous character owns a watch that he uses to keep in touch with his fellow secret agents via voice input.
Back when it originally started in '07 I probably wanted one of those a fair bit (or, even better, one of the watches from Spy Kids); surely enough, I got a Motorola Moto360 after all these years.
Not quite as future-tech as Spy Kids or Clockstoppers, but it's still cool as hell.
oh, that's why I need this binary mind // ⌘Now that I've started to wrap my brain around emerging tech, I'm more like "I'll have my jet pack soon enough and THAT IS AWESOME".
To be honest, some of what I thought might be cool as a kid is something I don't care too much for now. For instance, how about a device worn round your wrist that does more than tell the time? (I was perhaps hoping for something like a communications device, with or without video, not a portable computing type device.) As of now, we have smart watches, and I'm thinking, "so what? What is the point of these things?"
Or RayGuns. Why do we want to invest in a cooler method of killing people? If they can be set to stun fine, but then would they have the same risks as a Taser?
I wonder why we never had videophones though. As in proper videophones, not video messaging on your portable device, or Skype. As in, the landline sort. And which wouldn't cost any more than a normal call.
It would perhaps have been nice to see more progress made in manned space travel, possibly even the commercialization of space, before now. I am sure we could save the money fighting questionable wars and re-invest it in such ventures...
