I love Code Lyoko too!
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.It was a pretty cool show.
Give us a listen, then! Link's right in my signature.
But yeah, Code Lyoko is an underrated show. I thought the (surprisingly realistic) teen relationship drama was more interesting than the action, to be honest.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?We all did. That and the Gravity Falls esque mytery behind Lyoko.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here. It's too bad that didn't amount to anything. I've heard a lot of fans say they soured on the series when it became obvious that the big mysteries were never going to be properly answered.
I mean, I guess they might've been answered in Code Lyoko: Evolution but who even saw that crap?

Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I think the inverse, we WERE told clear as day, who created Lyoko, why Aelita was there, and all that. And that killed the show. I mean it didnt do it for me but I admit that the answers being known killed a lot of the appeal. What else was there to know?
I dont think it was cancelled due to that, but rather no stable home for the show.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.It wasn't canceled, it ended. It had a very respectable run of 94 episodes. And we were never told why Franz Hopper created Lyoko (at least not as far as I remember).
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Then I think we are done. We know he created it either to escape the government or on their orders. So there, no more mysteries to solve.
Do you know what OST played when Jeremie had his "first date" with Aelita in the Real World when she was first devirtualized, its such a sad and gentle theme. I still remember it!
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.I have not seen that show in years but did Ulrich & Yumi (those are sword-boy & fan-girls names right?) get together in the end?
I also recall hating William even back when I was a kid though his digital-clone was pretty cool, bless its nonexistent heart.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I really hated William as well! I dont know why but I didnt just hate him for getting in the way of Ulrichx Yumi but rather how stalkerish, and pushy he was. Also that Zombie episode where he was a major jerk didnt do him any favors.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.If there's an either/or, then there's at least one mystery left to solve, isn't there? And we still know nothing about the actual purpose of Lyoko.
Oh, and Ulrich and Yumi weren't allowed to become an Official Couple due to some Executive Meddling that happened between seasons two and three. But the series finale does imply that they're still crushing hard on each other, and that they'll be able to explore their attraction now that they don't have to save the world from computer demons.

Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?So, what's everyone here's take on OK K.O! Let's Be Heroes!
It's OK. I thought it'd be funnier. It's neat that they got Jim Cummings for the villain I guess.
I don't expect a whole lot out of it after seeing the first 6 episodes. So far OK K.O. is a much lighter version of Jackie Chan Adventures and Xiaolin Showdown, which both did a lot more with the whole martial arts, action/comedy, concept IMO. And keeping the characters stuck in a shopping center is going to really limit what the show can do.
Also it rarely made me laugh. Out of the newer shows We Bare Bears was funnier, or at least it had better comedy in its early episodes IMO.

I thought it was decent. Nothing terrible, but nothing outstanding.
Wait did they debut some full episodes of it already?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Yes,its on their website
New theme music also a boxWell shit I need to watch them then.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Going back to the new DC Superhero Girls show (really the only upcoming show that I'm in any way looking forward to), I'm still wondering whether it's going to keep the tone and themes of the books and the original shorts, or whether it's going to go for something Denser and Wackier like many cartoons of late. Of course, DCSHG isn't exactly a superhero series in the strictest sense, seeing as its plots usually have more to do with school issues that just happen to involve superpowers rather than the usual fighting crime and saving the world. Given that they went to the trouble to get Lauren Faust on board, as well as the producer of Justice League Action, they do at least seem to be taking it seriously.
~El Squibbonator: I think Faust's run with DC Super Hero Girls will be similar in tone to the webseries' movies and comics (where the balance of action and comedy within the Academy of Adventure set-up is more apparent).
I don't know why, but I'm also imagining some My Hero Academia vibes will come up. The current Super Hero Girls recently had a direct-to-video version of a universal, school district wide Tournament Arc, so maybe...?

Here's another question. The internet episodes were, as far as I know, pretty creator-driven. Will the TV series be able to maintain the same tone in the context of the demands of a TV network?
It be cool if they made the show more Academy of Adventure. Really take advantage of being in a school compromised of various super-powered beings & potentially going to various settings for learning.
They have access to the entire DC property so they should go wild.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."~slimcoder: Agreed (would love for the other Lantern Corps to show up, much like the aforementioned movie). I kind of hope some "reformed" villain characters remain in the Faust's iteration. No doubt Ivy and Harley will be unaffected (for Mattel's marketing reasons, I'm sure), but I kind of like the idea of Cheetah begrudgingly working with Diana on a constant basis.
~El Squibbonator: Take the following with a grain of salt, but I believe that Faust's cartoon will be just as creator-driven as Shea Fontana's current run. Mattel, Warner Bros, and DC have a greater say in the show's content than CN (they usually treat their Warner Bros/DC shows as second party shows), and so far, Shea seems pretty well satisfied with the property's current direction. Therefore, I doubt Faust will have to deal with anything too crazy.
In other news, Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! has been quietly canceled. The rest of the unaired episodes are, supposedly, going to the new Boomarang streaming app.

Gotta admit, Im not sad to see it go. But then again, I was never much of a Scooby fan anyway.

Yeah, I reread it and that's the impression I'm getting, too. Excuse me for getting defensive—as you can tell by my signature, I'm a fan of Code Lyoko.
Er, listen to our podcast! Listen and donate! So far the thing has been a considerable net loss for us! Ha ha!
