I currently have 12 free. Which I can expand if I really need to, since I have a bunch of common ships I don't use, don't plan to use until I've got others to kai and kai ni, and I don't need for quests.
Check out my fanfiction!Don't be so intimidated by stockpiling, I've managed to finish events with 20-30k resources with post-farming. Buckets should be your focus.
People who go to 100k usually are focused on finishing the event in the first few days.

I did naht.
Because the post-event farming often times costs more to do than clearing the actual event. Go back a few pages, and you'd see I used up more farming Roma than the whole six event maps from last season's event combined. XD
I firmly believe the ships I want will be completion rewards this time. Please.
I did naht.I suddenly realize that I'm 6 levels away from Abukuma K2... and I have no blueprints left.
OTL
Hopefully the event awards will be enough, as I'm loathe to try for 4-5 and 5-5 this close to the event.
On my part just cleared world 2-4, I had to repeat a every time one ship girl endured a critical hit and got heavy damage, those blasted enemy planes, Anyway I got another battleship for it.
^ Congrats! BTW, if you enter boss node without any red ships, and get red in the combat, feel free to enter night battle, they won't sink.
Give me cute or give me...something?Well, getting past 100k on both ammo and fuel is tempered by the news that the coming event is going to have SEVEN maps total is enough to make a chill run up my spine.
So, the autumn event will have eight maps?
Check out my fanfiction!
Sure hope not. Also we're long delayed another Arpeggio crossover, what with the movies and all.
I need to catch up on the animated Arpeggio stuff some day.
A few new updates. Suzu definitely jumped to the top of my kai ni level train. Then again, she was already the highest light cruiser on that list, after Kiso got done.
Tatsuta looks great. Just like with Tenryuu, the art improvement is very significant.
Check out my fanfiction!^ Shame it's not exactly same artist doing the summer art...or was it? The style for Tatsuta summer CG is really different...Tenryuu, not so much.
BTW, where do I find Uzuki? I kind of want to continue down the questline to get my 6th quest slot...

Give me cute or give me...something?Don't ask me. Been looking for the girl for ages now. There are some late stages you can get her as a boss drop, but you still need to S-rank those.
But I think it's the same artist for all of Tenryuu's and Tatsuta's art.
Check out my fanfiction!Time for some trope talk. In short: The character pages have problems.
First I wanted to note that I commented out a bunch of Zero Context Examples on the character pages. Feel free to add context to those. Or remove them if they're shoehorns; there are a lot of those too.
Second, there were a few tropes that were repeatedly shoehorned, without context, or that I'm unsure if they're used correctly.
- Anti-Air: Usually just a reference to the AA stat. However, the trope is about units designed for an AA role. I'd certainly include characters like Akizuki, Isuzu, and Maya. Fubuki got actual focus on it in the anime, and she comes with great AA equipment. I'd say the same for Isokaze, since even if doesn't have a stellar AA stat, she is equipped for AA on remodel.
- Born Lucky: Like the above, stats. The other version is about some lucky event for the real life ship. What happened to the real ships is irrelevant unless it's referenced by the ships in the game (Achilles' Heel had problems with that, too). Yukikaze and Shigure would still qualify, but several others are very doubtful.
- Feminine Women Can Cook: Mostly any character mentioned to be capable of cooking has it listed. The trope is about someone who can cook as a sign of being particularly feminine.
- Let's Get Dangerous!: It's treated as a dialogue trope, but it's really about actually becoming dangerous, and showing it. It's also about characters who're not usually seen as dangerous, so there needs to be a significant shift in how the characters are viewed. Is there anyone who actually fits that? I could imagine maybe Yuudachi, who has a significant shift at her second remodel.
- Nonstandard Character Design: This is about characters who are very different from the overall design. As it is, it's applied to characters who aren't exactly like their sister ships. Considering the many different artists, either just about all characters would qualify, which makes it not notable for specific characters within the context of the franchise (or), or none would fit.
- Stop Poking Me!: The trope is about a reaction to a repeated command, usually clicking. Secretary lines are to my knowledge random, so you don't have to click multiple times to get a specific one (if you're lucky). On the other hand, their reaction is sometimes along the lines of the trope, so I'm unsure. On the third time, there are still shoehorns.
- Those Two Girls: The trope is fairly specific about how the characters are supposed to be in relation to the main character. As it's used, it's just any two girls who're often together for one reason or another, and usually with absolutely no context, other than a mention of who the other one is. The same problem occurs for a few other similar tropes (mainly sibling tropes).
- Took a Level in Badass: Being a Badass is not just about stats, but most of the examples are about remodel stat improvements. This should be a character trope, when someone's personality grows into the role of a badass.
Anyone got thoughts about this, or should I just grab an axe and start chopping?
Check out my fanfiction! As the one who thought up the Anti-Air trope, it encompasses "an attack, weapon, munition, ability, etc. that is effective against flying enemies", not just units.
I was talking about units because that's what the shipgirls are. If it's about the equipment, the tropes should be about that, not the girls themselves. As for ability, all ships have some AA capability. Some are just better at it than others, and I think the AA stat (alone) is just not a good indicator for how they fit the trope.
My point is, if it's just about the stat, it's better to just have a general example that covers the game mechanic, since that's what it is. "Has a decent AA stat" doesn't stick out from others, since it's just an arbitrary line that differs a few points. However, saying "this particular ship starts with an AA main gun and an AA radar" does point specifically to the trope (such as Isokaze), especially if combined with a decent AA stat. Or you could just include every single non-Bismarck battleship. But I think that kind of removes the point of pointing it out as a character trope in the first place. Going into stuff like "Fourth best AA amongst non-specialized destroyers with her second remodel," smells of Overly Narrow Superlative.
I also found it funny that despite all those justifications, Akizuki didn't even have that, so I commented it out for lack of context. I'd have added something, but when you're editing an entire page with that many characters, it's best to just keep going and go back for specific stuff later on.

Check out my fanfiction! In several spin-offs (notably the Fubuki, Ganbarimasu! manga), Zuikaku is the subject of a Running Gag where she has incredibly good luck, typically taking the form of more or less coming out of engagements without a single scratch, while her sister Shoukaku is the complete opposite, being very prone to suffering accidents or incurring great damage (to the point of somehow taking hits that were intended for her sister). This leads to occasional accusations that Zuikaku somehow siphoned Shoukaku's good luck for herself, or alternatively dumped her own bad luck on Shoukaku... or both.
In light of this, I think these two deserve to have Born Lucky and Born Unlucky in their trope lists.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Ayaki, who did Tenryuu and Tatsuta's original art, DID also do their Summer swimsuit C Gs. So yeah, vast improvement, especially when you compare to Hatsuharu earlier this year. Waiting on Nenohi now, aha.
Incidentally, are anyone here prepared for another SEVEN-MAP event? Because I am, and I'm still feeling chills just thinking about it.
I never tried event too far, can't comment. Still trying to stockpile resource tho, and trying to get more Reppu...can't get that thing. Get lots of Tenzan instead...
^^ You think Shoukaku/Zuikaku is bad? Try Yukikaze
Give me cute or give me...something?That I agree with. They're actually portrayed as such. I think the same goes for the Fusou sisters, or is that only in fanworks? Mutsu does have a propensity for blowing up (which I think was mentioned in the Bucky 4koma).
Mostly I'm trying to figure out which are shoehorns and which are legitimate, which isn't always easy, given how many different sources there are.
Up to 100/100/80/50 resouces and a bucket* , so I think I'm ready. Should be fun.
Should maybe get a few more planes, as I only have three Reppus and three Shiden k2s other than a bunch of 52 Zeroes. But this time I actually have night equipment, small radars, and radars other than Suzudars for the bigger ships. And much stronger ships.
And I think Hatsuharu's remodel looks good, in that somewhat weird way of looking she looks.
Check out my fanfiction!Mutsu and the Fusou sisters are a bit weird since they frequently mention having horrible luck, but I can't really recall anything bad happening to them. At most, Fusou is always crying about how she historically got passed up by everyone else, including Yamashiro, for the flagship position. I don't think we ever see Mutsu explode in the manga and in the anime that aspect was dropped entirely. In contrast, Shoukaku still kept her doom luck in the anime and bad things happen to her all the time in the 4koma.
^ The 4-koma group Mutsu with Taiho for the explosive joke...
Give me cute or give me...something?By the way, feel free to improve on the examples of the actual characters if you know details that are relevant for the trope. There are a lot of those zero context examples I commented out that mainly just mentions that someone said something about it, or that it was brought up one place or another. That's not context. Context is saying what was brought up, and how that relates to the trope.
Anyone got anything to say about the other tropes? I could go chopping down a bunch of them, but I'd rather get some kind of consensus first. Even if cleaning is a free action.
Check out my fanfiction!
A lot. My dorm capacity was at 200 since after Midway, so I have a LOT of space left. If I ignore the -gumo doubles I got from 5-4, I have something like 30+ free spaces left.
