Also, anyone interested in GMing a game set in the WH40K universe? I was thinking that players could play a Space Marine seconded to the Death Watch (so everyone has freedom with their Chapter)

I've been hoping for a WH40K RP as well; personally I'd really love one that let me play an Imperial Knight pilot, but just about anything else WH40K related would also be good.

In fact I'd see about GMing one myself, but I've got my hands full already with my current RP.

I'd be interested in a WH 40 K RP. Honestly, anything in that verse goes, but if I get a chance in a Deathwatch RP, I'd probably go Dark Angels or Raven Guard.

I would probably join a 40K game.

Would anyone be up for GM-ing an RP about being people stuck in a Closed Circle with The Thing?

Has there ever been a crossover RPG around Kaiju and Giant Robots? I'm thinking it could be set in that pocket dimension from Pacific Rim, where various humans have fallen inside and tried to start up their own colonies and civilisations. Unfortunately, monsters like Godzilla have also fallen in, along with the Galra Empire and the various villains from Power Rangers/Super Sentai. Players could be anything from a single monster to a whole sentai team, so long as they total as one skyscraper-sized battling beast.

I remember briefly playing in a mecha game where we fought against kaiju, but I think the game is long over at this point.

I tried to start a slightly weird Godzilla game where you could play as any monster, though it wasn't a crossover. It was probably too hastily conceived.

I've been thinking about a dark fantasy-esque RP where evil has already won, and the remaining characters form a rebellion against it. Think of Mistborn or Tyranny's settings, which albeit different follow that premise.

For actual RP examples, there's daltar's The Struggle for Aldaris and Aevum's Reign Of Anarchy. They actually convey my idea perfectly (probably out of my nostalgia).

Superhero RP's might be overdone, but what about a sort of "Legion of Losers"? Folks with powers that might not be incredibly useful but want to make a difference anyway or in spite of that?

Given I am not very good at G Ming, I'll post ideas here whenever I get them;

One of my ideas thus far has been a sort of fantasy scifi / action / survival game where the RP focuses on a huge luxury cruise ship catering to the obscenely wealthy - most characters on board are young people related to the wealthy and their parents / relatives. The cruise looks picturesque - the people on board by and large athletic, well educated and sophisticated...until the skeletons in the closets are veritably blown open;

Justin Henderson, a dangerous, everliving cyborg terrorist, attaches his underwater vessel The Regret to the cruise ship, hacks the communications system, and issues his demands. He states that in exactly one week, he is going to fire a missile up at the ship and kill everyone onboard...unless they take up weapons and kill one another until only ten people remain alive on the ship. "Either everyone dies, or most die and I get the show of a life time."

The RP would look into what each person on board chooses, who they are underneath it all, and how they respond to Henderson's demands. Some would try desperately to not kill one another and escape, while others would seize the opportunity to advance their own interests in such a situation.

While there is a magic system and it is set in the verse I've been working on, you don't need to know much about it to do this, as most of the action involves normal mortal people dealing with the situation Henderson has imposed. I'm aiming for an Anyone Can Die sort of feel, rather like Battle Royale.

If anyone is comfortable G Ming such a game, I'd be appreciative.

Sign on for this After The End Fantasy RP.

I don't suppose anyone would be interested in starting an original magical girl game?

I'd start one myself since that's kind of my thing, but while I have a few ideas none of them are really fleshed out enough to make me think they'd be viable, and furthermore I'm not exactly the most confident in my GMing skills right at this particular moment.

What kind of Magical Girl Anime? I don't think I'm interested in G Ming right now, but I'm curious about the premise.

I'm putting forth tentative interest; I might be willing to GM a magical girl RP, but I'd like to know what people are looking for before I commit.

For me personally I'd be looking for something on the darker side, but at the same time isn't a complete drama bomb where there's a real chance of the characters dropping like flies. I'd also prefer having limited restrictions on my character's potential powers; nothing like "your character must be within Power Type A, B, or C with Power Level 1, 2, or 3," as that tends to make my brain start oozing out my ears. That being said, I'd be okay with something like "Transformation works in such-and-such a manner but what it looks like and what powers it grants are up to you."

Beyond that I'm not going to be super picky; so long as I don't have to deal with a canon-only rule I'll probably be content.

As for general premise, some ideas I've kicked around in the past include this and this (I've dropped this idea since I couldn't think of a way for the characters to earn a happy ending as opposed to a highly bittersweet one at best, though if anyone's interested I'll be happy to share what I wrote down for it).

I've also been wondering about a setting where the characters are pretty much forced into their powers whether they like it or not, and how they deal with such a thing and what they're required to do now that they've been empowered, which could possibly be combined with either of the previous two ideas or something completely different.

Yomegami, are you still interested in a Magical Girl game? I have a premise for a Henshin Hero game that would have some restrictions such as players having an enchanted item that forcibly bonded to them, the powers being based on desires, the spells only working while transformed. I could pretty easily adjust it to be a Magical Girl game.

The thing is do you mind if the setting is America? Also if you or another of the players occasionally act as a CO-GM when I'm away? I'm imaging it being about four players and one GM with one of the four players taking on a substitute GM Role occasionally.

Wow, that sounds like a rather interesting premise, if Yomi isn't interested I could try if its only Co-GMing, if not then definetely as player :P

Cool! cool I'l also mention that if I go through with it there are going to be restrictions on high level powers. For instance I wouldn't allow anyone to have unassisted time travel, (maybe time manipulation) or mind control.

Yes, I'm still interested, and that premise sounds great to me.

I don't have any particular qualms about setting, and I'm also fine with a limit on really strong powers. As for being a co-GM...well, I can certainly try. I'd probably be better at that than at being a full-time GM, anyway.
