So originally this picture was just the Pyro from TF 2, but that didn't illustrate it, so it was changed to him lighting someone on fire. But that didn't really illustrate the "loves to set things aflame" aspect, so it was changed to the current image.

Since then, though, Meet the Pyro came out, and I'd say this is a pretty good image for it.

You mean the one that's already on Obliviously Evil?

Current image really illustrates "loves to set things aflame" much better. Pyro might be having a blast, or he might just be doing his duty. Given he's in a full body suit from behind, it's tough to say.

EDIT: ... also [up] that.

Current image looks better since he is clearly happy about it.

I also like the current image. It's precise.

Current is much better than any suggestion.

The only objection I have to the current is that it's a little light on the "maniac" aspect...he's definitely satisfied with his work but it feels more like generic arson.

Guys, I think we've been looking at the wrong Pyro. Might I introduce a different Pyro? [1] [2] [3]

That looks more like fire powers than this. "Maniac" has usually the implication that they are crazy.

I dunno... the guy just looks a tad too happy whilst playing with fire to be normal in my book. Especially in 11.1.

[up][up]Are there other images of him that shows him actually doing something rather than showing off his powers?

11.1 is pretty good. A great image would show the happiness and someone being killed.

If we're going for X Men's Pyro, there's one from the second film where he looks pretty pleased to be beating Ice Man, or some of Pyro, Human Torch, Incinerate over on the Psychic Powers Image Pickin thread.

1, 2 and 3 also fit.

This is a little like the current image; this is a bit funny, this from Beast Masters and this a little creepy.

THIS is my favourite, though.

[up] This trope seems to be about a mental disorder related to burning things, not just fire as a weapon, which is Kill It with Fire. I don't get mental instability from those images.

This and this aren't bad, but the quality isn't very good.

There were some great shots of Firefly gloating over his fires in Knightfall, but I can't find anything from them...this is about as good as I can do with him.

[up][up]To add: the fire superpower trope is Playing with Fire. Kill It with Fire is about fire being super-effective against various things. This trope is about the mental disorder.

There can be overlap of course, but a mundane image is probably less confusing.

Current image works fine unless someone happens to suggest a better one. That being said...

and this a little creepy
It does a good job of conveying the "maniac" part of "pyromaniac", I think. [tup]

That still looks more like Playing with Fire than Pyromaniac.

Pyromaniac does not imply supernatural powers. Otherwise, it looks like maniac + Playing with Fire.
