Ganondorf of Captain Falcon.
...wait, wrong kind of clone.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Heh, I mean actual clone characters in terms of story, not mechanics.
Predaking. It can't talk, but it can clearly think, and it clearly has a will of its own... And being a robot dragon doesn't hurt the appeal. But I'm hoping for more insight into the mind of the beast. What does he truly want? Why does he obey Megatron and Shockwave?

Che in that novel that I have on hiatus.
The road goes ever on. -TolkienBoba Fett, even if I reject that origin.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatSolid Snake. The man who makes the impossible possible.
Can I count most of the cast of Homestuck? Although that depends on what we're defining a clone as.
No? Okay fine, Vivio Takamuchi.
Gonna have to go with Boba Fett. About whom, funnily enough, all the ethical questions never really come up.
A different shape every step I take A different mind every step of the lineI'd say Boba Fett and Rei are my favorites.
That Stormtrooper that misses every shot.
Wait that's all of them.
WELCOME TO MEME HELL!!!Superboy and Red Arrow from Young Justice.
Mewtwo. He commits mass murder in a kid's film and gets away with it.
...I still say Boba Fett would only win a popularity contest over Predaking because of name recognition. What's not to love about a giant robot dragon?
Bizarro. "Me am Number One perfect imperfect clone!"
I also like the Meta-Crisis Tenth Doctor.
Fear is a superpower.Solid Snake. For the obvious reasons.
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)Rex from the Clone Wars CG series.
Fuck you, it's a good cartoon.
If they kill him in the fifth season (and considering the writers of the Clone Wars treat the clones like George R R Martin treats all of his characters, they probably will), I will riot.
You need an adult.I liked the 2D one. Is the CG one around the same idea?
YUUGI WANTS YOU FOR DRINKING BUDDYIn a word, no.
Last I watched it, it was like the target demographic had taken over the helm.
A different shape every step I take A different mind every step of the lineIt is just such bullshit that the token Stupid Good cast members get Plot Armor (yeah, I know they can't exactly kill Anakin or Obi-Wan, but still) when the characters that have actually been nicely developed are killed off like vermin. I actually forgot that the clones are future bad guys (through no real doing of their own, though) because I was too busy dealing with my feels every time they killed one on the show. I don't really give a shit about Ahsoka, and since she's not around in the prequel films, I'm guessing she either dies or gets Put on a Bus.
I never saw the 2D cartoon, and have only heard about it through people who insist it's so much better than the CGI version.
I can't imagine what running two shows about roughly the same era and concept (the Clone Wars) is doing to the Star Wars canon, but I'm guessing it's a mess at this point. A few years from now, there'll be a complete reboot of the franchise, if there hasn't been already.
Also, it's nice to see that Star Wars has continued its fine tradition of obvious cultural stereotypes... The Clone Wars Mandalorians are space Germans. A fair, blonde people with a legacy of being warlike, who have since given up their violent ways and become pacifistic, except for a nationalistic terrorist cell that liked things just the way they were. Tell me that shit doesn't sound familiar.

You need an adult.First things first, watch the 2D series and be amazed.
And: Star Wars reboot: Not gonna happen, can't be done, will kill people if Disney does do it.
Now, you are absolutely right about the mess. While obviously it's the newer show that's mostly to blame, there's about a dozen novels, three or so video games and of course the far superior original Clone Wars series also clogging up those mere three years of history. If they keep going like this, we'll be able to figure out day-to-day diaries for every major character pretty soon... or could, if any of the events depicted fitted together in any sort of way. Which they don't. We can't be sure when Anakin was knighted, when the clones got the new armor, exactly how Grievous attacked Coruscant, nothing. It'll eventually take a lot of sorting out and saying that some things didn't happen, or at least not the way we saw them.
One of my main problems with TCW is how it tramples over pre-established facts and backstory at every given opportunity. If they tried to work with previous material, maybe develop and alter what's given a bit, I'd be alright with that, but no. General Grievous' perfectly good, tragic and engaging origin. Overwritten, he wanted to be a Jedi when he was a kid, they wouldn't let him and he's held that grudge ever since. Really? Asajj Ventress, tied in with the Dathomiri Nightsisters that've already gotten more than enough exposure. The looks and politics of Mandalore the show gives us, only reconciled by having to introduce yet another Mando splinter fraction and a rework of the planet's geography *. And don't get me started on all they did to poor old Darth Maul...

A different shape every step I take A different mind every step of the lineI all but laughed out loud at the Herr Doktor alien in the Blue Shadow episodes... Come on, Lucas.
You need an adult. On a lighter note though...
Since I did I topic on favorite evil A.I.s, I figured that I might as well do another topic. This time, it's on characters who are clones. Cloning in fiction as always fascinated me, as those stories always bring up the topics of what makes us human, what deems others as real or not, and even our own morality. What are some of your favorite clones?
I'll start with mine:
Pretty obvious answer from myself. Rei Ayanami from Neon Genesis Evangelion is, imo, one of the most fascinating characters I've ever seen in any story. The fact that she knows she's a clone, and has been told that she is expendable and thus, as no self-worth really raises many ethical questions. Especially since, as the story goes on, especially in the Rebuild verse, she slowly begins to regain her humanity, as Shinji begins to convince her that her life truly has meaning, and that there are indeed those who care for her. This all comes to a head when she decides to sacrifice herself to save Shinji. Even in 3.0, when we are given a different Rei clone who Shinji dismisses, she is still shown struggling with the nature of her creation, especially after seeing what she was cloned from.
Really, Rei brings up pretty much every single ethical, philosophical, and moral dilemmas that are associated with cloning. What right do we have to judge clones as expendable when they can indeed have their own personalities and relationships? How does one's upbringing as an artificial creation determine your ultimate fate? And ultimately, what is a soul, as if clones can regain their humanity, than does that mean that they are the same as us? It is all of this that makes her my favorite clone character. (And I have just realized that I was gushing there. )
What are your favorites and why?
