RIP, one of the most influential critics of our time.

dead devotion:(
Man, I thought he would live forever. Rest in peace, man.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."With his ailing health, I suppose it had to happen sometime soon. Still, I feel as though a rift has just erupted in the world now. He wasn't even just a great movie critic. He was a wonderful human being in general. I used to read a lot of his blog posts as well as his reviews, and he was a very thoughtful, kind, and all-around, it seemed, self-actualized man.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.70 seems a very young age to die, but the poor man had a nightmare with his health problems in general and that fucking cancer in particular. I nearly lost my mom to that and I did lose my uncle, who was the same age as I am now - 43, when he fell to bowel and liver cancer, so I kind of know how his family and friends must be feeling.
I may not have always agreed with his reviews of films, but I have to admit he had a lot of integrity and he never wrote a word that he did not believe in.
May he rest in peace.
At least he lived a meaningful life.
Can't say anything that hasn't been said. Rest in peace, Ebert.
If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked.RIP, Roger. I always enjoyed your reviews, even when I disagreed with them.
You need an adult.I... Uh... B-But... Roger...
RIP. There's nothing else left to say. He was awesome.
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."I have to say that I was shocked and surprised when I heard the news. I never imagined that this would happen to him, but it would have happened.
I always thought that he was very fair-minded, as far as critics go. I thought someone would bring up North, and the fact that he didn't even try to be fair-minded just shows that the movie pushed all the wrong buttons with him.
And let's not forget that one moment that became memorable in the right circles, and I quote, "Your movie sucks."
Oh, Equestria, we stand on guard for thee! That's very poignant.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Lie down.
Try not to cry.
Cry a LOT.
You need an adult.I think he was a good man. I never knew him or anything, but he seemed like an open-minded, easygoing person, if a bit irritable at bad movies (and who wouldn't be?).
His was a dignity and grace that you don't really find in movie review critics that much anymore. Sure, his reviews may not have been loud and entertaining, but the man had a respect for the art form and one could usually trust his judgement to have been based in good thought, even when one disagreed strenuously with it.
I'd say that he was something like the Walter Cronkite of movie reviews, and the art form is just a little dimmer without him to help cast his particular light on it.
I bet up in heaven, he's had happy reunions with lost friends and lost family and Gene Siskel.
At least Richard Roeper is still alive.
That was beautiful.

Emperor Wu liked cake, but not exploding cake!I always knew I liked George Takei, but that just seals the deal.
@That Onion article: Man. That just about sums it up, don't it.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. There's a certain eloquence and beauty in the brevity of the note Roger left.
It just says it, summed up in one sentence, and says all that needs to be.
"Did you expect somebody else?"So on this day of reflection I say again, thank you for going on this journey with me. I’ll see you at the movies.
....Oh Gods my heart.
...what the hell? I come here and I see three thumps in a row.
In memoriam, I give to you one of the best reviews he ever gave...
Thank you Mr. Ebert, and say hi to Siskel for all of us.
