Duplicate Image: Fake Nationality

The same picture is used for both Yellowface and Fake Nationality. I'd say it works well for Yellowface, but we could find something else for Fake Nationality.

Not that it's an easy trope to illustrate, as it's hard to avoid JAFAAC.

My first thought would go to Hugh Laurie as Dr. House... at least it's a well-known example.

+1 to pull it from Fake Nationality. As for a replacement, pretty much anything is going to be JAFAAC, so I'm voting no pic.

Doesn't have to be JAFAAC, just put somebody in obvious stage makeup on the page.

And preferably not something that's distinctive of one of the subtropes. Most of them don't have images, so it'd be best to put it there instead.

And Fake Nationality is a mess.

Fortunately, TRS is at 103/100 right now, so it probably won't be long before new issues can be raised.

Maybe multiple pictures of the same actor? Did one with Stellan Skarsgård but we could certainly do better.

Barring a better one, that works.

The caption would have to specify which characters he's portraying and where they're from, as well as his being Swedish, but it's better than nothing.

I think it's clear enough that he's not playing just one nationality.

@7: It'd be nice to have someone more recognizable, as that could work on Man of a Thousand Faces.

That's a good one.

Recognisability is only an issue as far as you can recognise it's the same actor in all images. It's a non-issue concerning recognising who it is.
