[up] I don't believe they're that powerful. If my memory is correct, they couldn't slice through metal, because Edward did manage to defend against them with his automail. Their main advantage is the fact they're shadows and they can come from anywhere. As for the whole eavesdropping thing, I don't think it'll be a big problem, but I think we can make it so he needs to have visual contact on the conversation, which means the people talking will be able to see him?

Still not 100% sure about it, but that sounds fairer. Tentatively accepted, though if it proves too much of an issue I'll request its' removal.

Actually the shadows could cut through metal. Edward just copied Greed in hardening his arm.

Also, thinking of joining. Already got a character in mind.

Man, it was surprisingly hard keeping this guy's backstory concise. Then again, considering the nature of his series...

Anyway, here he is.

  • Name: Riku
  • Age: Sixteen, verging on seventeen.
  • Species: Human.
  • Gender: Male.
  • Appearance: “Strength, to protect what matters.”
  • ‘Verse: KingdomHearts, post-3D
  • Personality: In the past, Riku was a calm, cool and collected teen who often competed with his best friend Sora over various things, including their mutual friend Kairi. In those days, he found his island home to be small and stifling, a prison surrounded by water, and sought a way to escape from that prison; he got his chance when he opened his heart to darkness, allowing his world to be destroyed and casting himself into the multiverse. Jealousy towards Sora and a desire to find and protect Kairi brought him under the sway of dark forces, making Riku a pawn of evil for a time, and in a moment of weakness he allowed himself to be possessed by a malevolent being called Ansem who nearly used him to destroy all worlds. He was eventually freed from Ansem’s control and regained his body, but darkness still lingered within his heart; for a time he sought to rid himself of it, and the lingering remnants of Ansem’s influence, but eventually he came to terms with his inner darkness and accepted it, vowing to use it for good.
    • Having matured over the course of his long ordeal, Riku has now become a serious young man who is deeply loyal to his friends and would do anything to protect them, even from himself if need be; he no longer fears the darkness within himself, though he still understands the dangers posed by those who would wield it for selfish or evil ends. His experiences have also allowed him to realize when villains are trying to manipulate him with words, and he does not allow himself to be bogged down by their doubletalk.
  • Powers/Equipment: Riku wields the Way To The Dawn, his personal Keyblade, in a fighting style consisting primarily of fast, one-handed strikes. As a magical weapon, the Keyblade can damage creatures and objects that would be unharmed by most mundane objects, though there are some things—such as force fields, armour, or the girth of some stupendously fat enemies—which even a Keyblade cannot cut through.
  • Background: To say that Riku has made some poor choices in life might be a bit of an understatement. In his desire to explore other worlds and escape from the tiny islands where he grew up, Riku let his world be destroyed by the Heartless, placed his friends Sora and Kairi in danger, fell under the sway of some shady characters—and later on, got possessed by the shadiest one—and nearly helped them to destroy the universe. Since regaining control of his body, however, Riku has sought to atone for his misdeeds and has gone through hell and high water to help Sora protect the universe, sometimes overtly, sometimes from behind the scenes. A year ago, they finally succeeded; however, their adventures were not yet done. A new threat loomed on the horizon, one which made everything they had been through before seem minor in comparison, and to combat this threat Riku and Sora undertook a Mark of Mastery exam to become Keyblade Masters. The exam was fraught with peril, having been sabotaged by agents of the looming threat, but both boys performed admirably; in the end, however, only one of them managed to pass and claim the title of Keyblade Master.
  • Extra Notes: I’ve left out the Dream Eaters that he can use in the game, both because at the point I’ve taken Riku from he wouldn’t have access to them and because including them would break your rule on players only being allowed one character; plus, he has enough abilities already. Also I don’t intend to use his shadow dodge and teleportation abilities to ghost; the latter is strictly for attacks only, not casual evasion, and the former is not infallible. Same with his dark barrier; he can only maintain it for about a second, and it can’t stop everything. His ability to open any lock might need to be nerfed or removed. And yes, the wording in his background section is vague so as to avoid spoilers for Dream Drop Distance.

Please let me know if this seems like too much.

  • Name: Jolyne Kujo
  • Age: 19
  • Species: Human
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: Bam and heres a better image of Stone Free (Though I like the color of the first image better)
  • Verse: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean
  • Personality: Jolyne is short tempered and rebellious, the kind of girl that lashes out at authority when she can. Her outlook is a bit skewed, resulting in her flighty and irresponsible behavior. She does have good traits though. She is selflessly protective of her friends and believes only the best of the people close to her, to the point of gullibility at times. She is slowly starting to mature and develop the Joestar indomitable will.
  • Powers/Equipment: Jolyne is a Stand user. A Stand is a sort of supernatural manifestation of that person that will fight for them. Any damage the Stand takes, they take. Stands are generally stronger than most humans and poses odd powers. Only other Stand-users are able to see a Stand, and people are unable to harm Stands. Jolyne's Stands, Stone Free, has the power to unravel Jolyne into string. Jolyne is able to manipulate this string with great precision. She can weave it into shapes, reach around corners, even meld herself with the clothing on someone else's back. Stone Free is versatile in its use.
  • Background: Jolyne is the sixth in the Joestar family bloodline. She is the daughter of Jotaro Kujo, and is often neglected by him. He would distance himself with his work and rarely ever see his family. One day Jolyne was framed for robbery and stole a car to try to run away, but got caught. When her mother tried to get Jotaro to help bail his daughter out, he refused. This started Jolyne's resentment of her father and her downward spiral. She soon joined a motorcycle/car jacking gang after that. She eventually left the gang after having to cover for some friends a few too many times. Then she started dating a boy named Romeo. One day while they were driving home drunk, Romeo ran into a man. He begged Jolyne to help him hide the body. She eventually helped him, but was arrested the next day. She was sentenced to 15 years in Green Dolphin Street Prison, where she was shoved into the world of Stands. When Jotaro finally visited his daughter in prison, he revealed that she had been framed and he lost both his Stand and his memories while protecting her. Now Jolyne has resolved to get back her father's Stand and memories and figure out who it wast hat framed her.
  • Extra Notes: Due to her stint in a gang, Jolyne is adept at hot-wiring cars and other vehicles.

@DBL:

Oh, I see.

@Sullen:

I'll monitor your use of the teleportation/shadow form stuff, though I trust you not to abuse it. As for the opening any lock thing, well... you're right, that'll need to be removed. Otherwise, it's accepted.

@Oni-Lord:

Jolyne is okay, though I'm kind of iffy on the whole "people can't damage stands" thing*

and her Stand should be visible to all.

Once again, she's accepted barring those few quibbles.

  • Name: Chung Seiker
  • Age: 16
  • Species: Human
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: "Nice to meet you." He's also very tall despite his looks, being very close to a full six feet in height.
  • ‘Verse: Elsword
  • Personality: Chung is normally calm, rational, and passive, being rather polite in most cases. He doesn't let injustice go unpunished though, and he's rather inflexible in some regards due to his upbringing as a son of a rather martial noble. In battle, he tends to become a lot more hotblooded and becomes much louder. His pet peeve is being mistaken for as a girl, something he's gotten rather sick of.
  • Powers/Equipment: Chung is equipped with a cannon aptly named the Destroyer and his amazingly defensive armor is dubbed the Freiturnier. Both his equipment are actually molded constructions of his Guardian Stone, a magical item of great power. Unlike his slim frame indicates, the boy can take an amazing amount of punishment and Chung has enough strength to lithely manipulate his heavy cannon as a bludgeon as though it's as light as a feather. He's also capable of shooting off rounds of the cannon by loading cannonballs into the weapon, the ammo being formed from his Mana. The more cannonballs currently in his Freiturnier, the stronger the discharge of certain moves. Chung also has the ability to imbue his shouts with Mana to cause sonic damage, demoralize enemies, or create temporary buffs to allies depending on the pitch.
    • When he reaches the height of his battle fever, he enters the eponymous Berserk Mode. In this state, he doesn't need to reload his arms while his damage output and pain tolerance is ranked up higher. Berserk Mode lasts for 90 seconds at a time, and consumes a lot of energy so he only gets one chance every short term battle.
  • Background: Chung is on a quest to achieve enough power to liberate his home; Hamel the City of Water from the demons which are currently lodged inside its walls- along with his corrupted father. To achieve this end, he went on a journey with five other beings across his homeworld, steadily growing in strength. He is motivated to deliver justice and protect the weak from evil wherever he goes, the ideal having been shaped from his helplessness during past events.

As long as it doesn't happen again, it's fine.

Last I could tell, the individuals who would set me off have left TV Tropes, likely for good.

So I think I can say that if any drama comes out of that old business, it most likely will not have been started by me. That said, I would feel somewhat guilty if any drama did pop up simply by my being here, whether I started it or not. Hence why I asked.

[up] I too don't particularly feel like playing one of the characters I already did play.

Currently I'm thinking Altair or Nomad.

@Ominae: I've already decided that if I take Altair, it'll be directly after the (past) events of Assassin's Creed 1. Not that I didn't play Revelations, just that it'd be easier to define what Altair can and can't do along with a better grasp on his personality that way.

At least, in my opinion.

... Oh wait, unless you mean that handheld game that came out. I didn't play that one... <_<

  • Appearance: http://images.wikia.com/gundam/images/6/61/54974554201111230124451171946926758_002.jpg
  • ‘Verse: G Gundam
  • Personality: Brash, impulsive, emotional, and extremely impatient. His emotions often get the better of him, and he acts with his heart well before he acts with his mind. Possesses a strong sense of justice, and will usually set aside his own mission when the weak and powerless require his protection.
  • Powers/Equipment: Charles Atlas Superpowers due to his martial arts training, which alongside making him a fearsome close-quarters combatant, allows him to pull off such superhuman feats as catching bullets and kicking buildings out of the way. He is also able to use multiple special techniques of the School of the Undefeated of the East such as the various "Finger" attacks and the Sekiha Tenkyoken. Finally, he has a giant robot - [http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/GF13-017NJII_God_Gundam.
  • Background: Neo-Japan's representative in the Gundam fight, a martial artist who trained under the Undefeated of the East, Master Asia. He fights to clear his father's name and defeat his brother Kyoji, who has taken control of the evil Devil Gundam.
  • Extra Notes: Probably won't be using the God Gundam all that much, unless there's really a need for a giant kung-fu robot.

Hope this is okay. Haven't done this kind of thing before.
