Inspired by this thread, I've noticed that this wiki doesn't have a dedicated cleanup thread for negativity.
As we all know, Complaining About Shows You Don't Like, Creator Bashing and other negativity isn't desired on the wiki, except in a few selected areas like reviews and several Darth Wiki pages (and even then, with limitations). And yet, it's one of the most common sins wiki contributors can make.
So, if you find a page, TLP or discussion whose content seems like a straight-up insult or any other bitching - including complainy soapboxing -, you might ask here for help with removing said content.
The sandbox for this project is located at Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining.

Goddamn. This Mykan dude has quite the hatedom. There are better ways to criticize him than this though, so I agree with cutting the quotes page.
It's getting to the point where I think we should lock all of Mykan pages, since they're attracting so much bile. We had to cut a Narm and a Misaimed Fandom page dedicated to him, which basically devolved into troping statements he made in blog posts and the like. The Quotes page having the same problem really isn't helping any matters.
Honestly, I've occasionally thought that it might be a good idea, when it comes to things like this guy's works where clearly the only reason trope pages exist is because people hate them, to just cut them outright.
Same. Even the Needs Wiki Magic Love thing was sarcastic.
EDIT: holy heck the memes page. His works should be cut too, yes?

The Protomen enhanced my life. While we're on the subject of pages that seem to exist solely for the purpose of bashing, I'd like to bring up Vegan Art Book. It has its own (very lengthy) Strawman Has A Point and Dan Browned pages, which should say something. If all we have to say about the comic is that it sucks, we may as well cut it from the wiki.
If I may make a suggestion? Why not just cut the quotes that have the least reason to be there?
Can someone explain this page and its subpages to me? it feels a lot like complaining. WebOriginal. The Insane Creators Guild
EDIT: Also these page seems to have the same problem Wall Banger had in regards to works in that they often bash the creators and go very far in their hate. DethroningMoment.Fan Works and DethroningMoment.Web Original

The Protomen enhanced my life. From Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
Creators Apathy: Where to start? The run cycles of many of the dinosaurs ignores basic knowledge of physics; they didn't even bother trying to make them run like elephants, the closest comparison scientists have to a multi-ton animal running. Many of the dinosaurs show moments of suspension (where all four feet leave the ground) that would have pulverized their bones. Some species, like Stegosaurus, are not even believed capable of running, but more a hurried trot at best. Meanwhile promotional videos brag about how Jurassic World is ushering kids into a love of paleontology while half their stuff is wrong and the other half is nearly 30 years out of date.
The movie even kneecaps the previous film's own excuse of why the dinosaurs are inaccurate with them being genetic amalgamations that are based upon real genera by insisting multiple times the Isla Nublar animals are "Real dinosaurs" brought back from the dead. Dr. Wu, who last film outright stated nothing in Jurassic World was "natural" and how all animals were modified away from their original look, called Blue a "pure" specimen of her species; when in actuality she doesn't look or act anything like a real Velociraptor.
Several dinosaur genera seen in previous films got new designs that managed to both break away from the canon and be even more inaccurate. From the Stegosaurus losing their true-to-life beaks and raised tails from The Lost World Jurassic Park to the Baryonyx going from both distinct, colorful, and quite accurate on the Jurassic World viral marketing website to a drastically different color scheme and proportions that muddied it's distinctive traits.
If you have never seen or operated on a dinosaur, you are not a paleontological vet. If you have never operated on racehorses, you are not considered an equine vet, and would probably not be hired to work on racehorses without having ever seen a racehorse, zero experience, and no mentor watching over you. Implication suggests that Jurassic World, as an operating zoo, would have had vets and lots of them. Why didn't they bring one of them back like they brought back Claire? No, instead the movie literally goes out of its way to explain this girl has never seen or operated on dinosaurs instead of a much easier and far more plausible reason to have a vet around.
Bathyspheres, and most boats and other aquatic crafts, operate with sonar. Sonar would have immediately and unquestionably caught sight of the Mosasaur long before the gate was opened. The bathysphere is also heard pinging a sonar sound, with no feedback of something bigger than a whale in their immediate vicinity.
None of the military goons or anyone on the island with the possible exception of Owen have any safety training. Period. There's no backup plan for communication if a storm rolls in, your radio goes out, and a T. rex shows up: not even "When people are waving and screaming at you, assume the worst and get to the most immediate designated safety area." The dinosaurs escaping is an inevitability in every movie, and leaving aside that no one seems to learn that lesson, zoos drill in what to do when an animal escapes. A two-week certification course in, I don't know, handling bears and elephants, who are perfectly capable of killing people despite being comparatively minuscule, might have been a good idea. Gee, a Stygimoloch is running around causing chaos? It sure would have been nice to have competent animal handlers and crowd control at your giant Auction Of Evil.
Creator's Apathy is only Trivia, and only when the creators confirm it.
Most of this are Critical Research Failure (which doesn't mean much in a franchise with featherless raptors). The last one is the typical Jurassic Park mercs.

Franchise Original Sin is attracting an amazing amount of complaining, to the point where there are over a dozen pages for individual series.
Could someone that is familiar with Gravity Falls evaluate this entry from the Never My Fault page? I'm currently very suspicious of additions like this one, because there's a couple more recent edits I've seen that are focused negatively on these particular characters in other trope pages, and have some misconceptions.
- Mabel Pines also has shades at this, when she is enraged that Dipper chose to leave him in favor of Ford she somehow doesn't seem to realize that it's because of her own selfishness and tendency to bully him that he chose to become the Author's apprentice where the latter is shown to respect his beliefs and doesn't pick on him unlike Stan and her. In fact, she goes as far as to sell him and pretty much everyone out to Bill just so he wouldn't leave her...and when it turns into a disaster, she doesn't brought it up at all meaning that she never acknowledges her own role in causing Weirdmageddon in the first place.
(Edited this again for a better example of one of edits, also edited again to have it in a folder.)

"Stay curious, stay weird, stay kind and don't let anyone ever tell you you aren't smart or brave or worthy enough."—The AuthorBlatant complaining. Get rid of it.
Thanks for confirming! The other edits I've mentioned are all similar, so... I'll take it to ATT tomorrow. It's been going on long enough.
"Stay curious, stay weird, stay kind and don't let anyone ever tell you you aren't smart or brave or worthy enough."—The AuthorThere have been calls for axing Franchise Original Sin altogether in the past. I'm increasingly coming to support them.
Found this on Genre Turning Point:
- Teen Titans Go! came about in an era where Cartoon Network was experimenting with a variety of shows and writing styles, such as the examples mentioned above. Since then, it has established a trend of Denser and Wackier and often controversial reboots with no regards for their predecessor's tone, such as The Powerpuff Girls (2016), Ben 10 (2016) and Thundercats Roar.
which was originally the even more complainy:

Since then, it has established a dominance of Denser and Wackier reboots with no regards for their predecessor's tone, dismal ratings and generally swift cancellations, such as The Powerpuff Girls (2016), Ben 10 (2016) and Thundercats Roar.
I believe that's less complainy and more bashy. Cut.

The Protomen enhanced my life. For now, I'm deleting anything that's shoehorned in as complaining or only exist too complain, as the only solution I can think of (blacklisting any Snark Bait magnets) is a slippery slope.
@Prfnoff: Franchise Original Sin is about when complaints existing in prior installments but must explain why they weren't deemed problematic at the time. The latter explanation of how it could be done well counterbalances the negativity. Due you have evidence it's being misused?
Vanilla Protagonist has a TRS. It seem many want it cut since it seem impossible for the intended use of this trope (a comparatively bland protagonist that serves to highlight more flavored supporting cast) is too hard not to devolve into complaint about blandness. I think the fundamental, intended trope is salvageable, but any thoughts?

In theory it's a trope. In practice it's literally impossible to prevent tropers from taking any opportunity they can get to devolve a trope into an excuse for bashing. I'm inclined to support the cut.
From YMMV.Total Drama Rama:
- Counterpart Comparison: A Spin-Off of a beloved animated series known for a huge Periphery Demographic and surprisingly clever writing, thought long forgotten by its fans, becomes Lighter and Softer, complete with simplifying/shrinking down character designs and the removal of beloved characters and elements as it's streamlined to an 11-minute format, with an immediate response of Tainted by the Preview? When has a Cartoon Network show done that recently?
On top of being a complaint, it also violates Examples Are Not Recent.

135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300Besides being obvious complaining, that isn't a valid example to begin with. Counterpart Comparison is for characters, not works.
Definitely cut Quotes.Dakari King Mykan for being nothing but bashing.
