My friend shared it with the comment, "I'm obsolete now."
Fresh-eyed movie blogIt was a little annoying when I found an episode in that database where the screenshots were misaligned with the captions by a whole scene.
I present The Simpsons Sphere, a 360-degree sphere showing 500 episodes of the show at once.
I had a thought recently. In the episode "Bart Sells His Soul," what happened to the rest of Moe's restaurant staff? In the first few parts of it, Moe had a fully fledged staff helping him run the place, and in the later parts, he was running the place literally all by himself. Was it like Frasier, where they found out the head honcho from the Department of Immigration was coming over for dinner, so they all ran for their lives? XD
I like to keep my audience riveted. What are your guys favorite moment of Homer Simpson stupidity? This is mine.
On a non-derp note, how long until they retcon Abe's WWII background with something more reasonable, like a Korean War background? His age is going to become redonkulus to fit it in.
They've already been moving it up a little. I think last season had him working on an airfield in the 50s (contemporaneous to Chuck Yeager) and that was where he met Mona, who was a waitress at the base's diner.
This one:
Homer: (in a fake voice). Hello. My name is Mr. Burns. I believe you have a letter for me.
Post office worker: Okay, Mr. Burns, what's your first name?
Homer: ...I don't know.
(cue outside)
Homer: (to Bart) Great plan, boy.

I like to keep my audience riveted. That's Bart's plan, not Homer's. He's stupid for following it, but it's not a stupid moment for him. Maybe they'll retcon it that he's a Korean War veteran...then a Vietnam veteran...then a Gulf War veteran... then a War on Terror veteran

I thought this week's episode was Actually Pretty Funny. Unrequited Love is trodden ground for this show, but still...
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Which do you think will happen first? Half-Life 3's release, or the series finale of The Simpsons
Last night, I watched the episode where Springfield decided to bring the election primarys up by a few months and Homer got them all to endorse Ralph. I'm not too politically savy so most of the episode's humour went over my head, but I absolutely loved that it ended with Lisa coming to Ralph's defence when he felt slightly pressured by everyone wanting him to pick a party, as well as Ralph's "we'll use our words when we're angry" speech, Lisa then realizes it wouldn't be a bad thing if he ever became President, and that she would'nt mind being Ralph's wife.
I know she was only humouring him at the end, but I 'ship those two so much, and she's had nightmares of being married to him in the past when she feared losing her intellect, so I've always had a suspicion she's often been in denial about her feelings for him. There's even another valentines day episode where he gives her a tooth, saying he wants her to "grow a new Ralph" but Lisa says she likes the old one just fine. Wish more could be done with the pair, I think they've burned out all the Milhouse and Nelson possiblities.
I ship Stewie and Maggie so hard you wouldn't even know.
I had this realization recently. Would you agree that Bart Simpson is not the most optimistic person?
For example, when he daydreams about becoming a rock star, he fantasizes about everything that comes with it, up to and including becoming a burned out and washed up has-been who no longer cares about his musical career. Which he thinks is cool.
I like to keep my audience riveted. He appreciates the bad times and the downsides of things!
Probably the few greatest frames of animation ever put to screen in a modern Simpsons episode
What's being said is Lenny, after Mc Bain declaring himself the winner having to sit through the grossout contest, decries ''You''. sir, have robbed us of our ''dignity!''.
Urinal Lenny Is Best Lenny.

Love tearing bad movies to shreds? Join us every night at 8 PMThere is going to be (some) live segment(s) tonight. The one for the earlier timezone is already done, I'm going to try to catch the one for my time zone. Anyone else?

It really wasn't that impressive. Flash animated, fairly stilted movements for Homer, Castellenata's improv was pretty weak.
Yeah I'm not expecting much from the motion capture animation. It's a shame that the improv for the earlier time zone wasn't good.

Did the story feel incomplete? It seemed like it didn't quite make it to the resolution.
Improv is quite often weak without an audience's laughter to play off of, especially solo improv.
I saw the version that had questions like "what was your favorite job?" and "what kind of car do you drive?"

Fresh-eyed movie blogWhat's your favorite Non Sequitur/ Big-Lipped Alligator Moments in the franchise? Mine have to be Endut! Hoch Hech! from "Krusty Gets Kancelled" and "THE RESIDENTS! Love tearing bad movies to shreds? Join us every night at 8 PMDouble-posting here, I know, but I wanted to do some Wild Mass Guessing.
I was watching Homer The Great the other day, the second time within two days, and it kept bothering me how Homer Glumpet, (aka the "Homer with the goofy, stereotypical country laugh who locked Homer out from entering the "No Homers" club both as a kid and as an adult,)'' but how did Homer G. learn about the newly-formed Ancient Society Of No Homers, despite it being formed from recently-defected Stonecutters members?
Well, I have some theories.
1) Homer Glumpet was a member of the Stonecutters all along and just stuck around for the "No Homers" club out of some non-villainous Evil Is Petty vendetta towards Homer, or
2) Homer Glumpet has some laser-guided precognition that directs him to join some sort of anti-Homer Simpson club every single time one is formed.
