Currently reading "Quite Contrary" by Richard Roberts, again. It's hard work at times as the main character isn't all that likeable, to be honest. But it's still a really good book, and I would love to see said main character in further adventures.
Just finished Zettai Bouei Leviathan. It was pretty much what I was expecting. Too harmless to actually be bad, but it didn't feel like much happened over the course of 13 episodes.
Next up is Mahoraba. I've heard that this show is considered fairly good and was highly influential on the development of puni plush art styles during the late 2000s. Looking forward to it.

Reading Target: Basra but struggling with it. Not that it's too complex or anything, I mean the writing style could scarcely be any easier to read without being bullet points and it's basically an entry-level introduction to a subject I know...I just find it hard to engage with the book. It's a bit like all the words keep running around the page and making me forget where I was up to.
More enjoyably, though, I finally got around to hearing some of Witchcraft's stuff. By Set's droopy nose, they are so 70s I could feel my moustache lengthening as I sat there and I loved every second of it.
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'Sailor moon Crystal.
Pretty damn good IMO. It is my first sailor moon
I just love magical girls as a genre <3
Always.
Somebody at ITV has scheduled all my favourite firefighting films this week to cheer me up, I think.
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'I know I'm a little late to the game (^_^;;), but I'm now officially a fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender. :)
I like to keep my audience riveted.Reading The Art of Aikido. The amount of focus on traditional style over practicality in aikido is amazing, it might as well be called gentleman-fu.
Just finished watching Mahoraba. Decent, and obscenely cute, but it didn't really do much that I haven't seen done better in other shows. Satomi Arai's performance as Kozue et al was excellent, though. Also, am I the only one who found Erika totally adorable despite being, well, Erika?
Next up is Hyouka. Although many of the early shows I watched (MOHS, Lucky Star, K-On, Clannad) were from KyoAni, I haven't actually seen anything from them since watching the K-On movie about two years ago (and Kanon shortly before that). So Hyouka will be my first one in a while, and also the most recent one in terms of release date. While I don't like the direction KyoAni has been taking with their art styles judging from the screenshots I've seen (the classic MOHS and Clannad looks, and even K-On, were better), I guess I at least owe it to them to try watching some of this stuff before making my final judgement. At any rate, I know I can rely on them to deliver superb animation quality.

Join my forum game!I'm now reading Jon Ronson's The Men Who Stare At Goats. This stuff is surreal.
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotAt the moment, I'm reading "Ash" by Malinda Lo. So far, it's a little slow, but I'm still going to keep on reading, hoping it gets more exciting. I actually don't mind a slow start as long as it is to establish some backstory and lead-up to the main plot.
My FanficsI'm slowly but surely making my way through The Silmarillion.
I like to keep my audience riveted.Same here, though I've interrupted it recently. I'll get back to it when I have more time.

It is depressing, but very human and quite funny. Also, all the depressing moments make heartwarming and awesome moments fill simply cathartic.

Reading Me and the Devil Blues. I actually didn't get too far into it initially but it's a pretty good manga with fantastic art and an unusually accurate portrayal of 1930's america. i actually read recently that it's going to be continued so i feel more inclined to catch up.
