This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

I think this was the quote a while ago. Either way, it's good.
- Frozone: Wait a second, what's this? Is that me?... I'm white! They made me a white guy?
- Mr. Incredible: You're... You're... Black...ish...
- Frozone: They made me a white guy!
- Mr. Incredible: Well... Maybe the print's faded. You're tan. ...-ish?
- Frozone: Wait, wait, wait. Is that supposed to be me? I sound like a, a... A what? A beatnik! Yeah, that's it, I sound like a beatnik!
- — The Incredibles, talking about a cartoon show starring Frozone and Mr. Incredible.
That's pretty good.
It is good. It could do without Frozone's last line; end it at "..tan-ish?".

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Yeah I think it's much better.
Sounds like a good quote.
Alas, Poor Yorick has a lengthy quote,it can be shortened to ->"Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio: a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy: he hath borne me on his back a thousand times; and now, how abhorred in my imagination it is! ."
Edit Level Ate has two quotes,I would go with the top one

New theme music also a boxActually, I'm not even sure we should use that quote. It doesn't really tell us what this trope is about (beyond the fact that the Trope Namer is Hamlet).
I think if we cut it off after "Here hung those lips that I have kissed I know not how oft. Where are your gibes now?" it's got a decent compromise between length and illustration of the trope.
Promotion to Parent has two quotes.
Promotion to Parent: Keep the second - it's a bit shorter.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanShould the other one go on a quotes tab? I don't know how to start one of those.
Put Quotes where /Main should go

New theme music also a boxOur Dragons Are Different has an unsourced quote:
Probably something a troper made up (it's a modification of "Do not meddle in the affairs of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger." from The Lord of the Rings). There's also a stinger referencing the quote.
The problem with both the quote and the stinger is that they are neither a) illustrating the trope and b) funny. The Quotes page offers no good alternative, but I would prefer the page to have no quote at all than an unfunny and meaningless one. Is it okay if I take it off?

Let's just say and leave it at that.Count my response in the discussion tab as well, please.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe 'crunchy' quote is a bit of a net meme. I've seen it on four different pics shared on my newsfeed in the past three months alone, and seen it elsewhere as well. It may not have a known author, but it doesn't seem to have been made up by a troper, either.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry Pratchett"Crunchy and good with Ketchup" has been around since before the net. I want to say, it started up about the time Bored of the Rings came out, in 1969.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Did some googling. It's one of those things popularized by "funny" bumper stickers and t-shirts. People have been wondering where it is from already in 2003.
To speak the truth, the quote being a meme is an argument for deletion in my book. A quote for Our Dragons Are Different should express how there are many different ideas of how dragons look, behave, are etc. This quote is just a Non Sequitur.
Edit: Madrugada 'ed me. Thank you, I suspected it was even older than the net.

Let's just say and leave it at that.It doesn't seem to actually be in Bored Of The Rings, but I know that I first encountered it back when I was in high school. And that was between '72 and '76.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.(whistles) The things you learn. Had no idea it was that old.
The problem with replacing the quote is that there are so many kinds of dragons. Except for a very few variants, most of them will get 'crunchy' for various reasons, from trying to harm their rider/Bond, to you happen to have strayed a hair into their territory. How do you even find a quote that sums up the massive variation of dragons in fiction?
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettFirst idea, How To Train Your Dragon?
That's a great quote.
I recall a line in A Song Of Ice And Fire where Tyrion is remarking on how none of the scholars can get all their facts straight on the anatomy of (now dormant) dragons, I'll see if I can dig it out.
EDIT: Can't find a specific line that sums it up. Never mind, the How to Train quote is good.

The page quote from Breathless Non Sequitur doesn't really fit the description.
Laconic:
Quote:
Doctor Rumack: (completely deadpan) How soon can you land?
Captain Oveur: (deadpan as well) I can't tell.
Doctor Rumack: You can tell me. I'm a doctor.
Captain Oveur: No, I mean I'm just not sure!
Doctor Rumack: Can't you take a guess?
Captain Oveur: Well, not for another two hours.
Doctor Rumack: You can't take a guess for another two hours?
— Airplane!

That ought to be reviewed for length, at least.
(Goes off to get "Mine? Mine?" out of her head.)
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry Pratchett
Crown Description:
What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
Does anyone have any suggestions for Race Lift? The current quote isn't terrible, but I think it paints the trope in an inherently negative light and acts as though it's Political Correctness Gone Mad. Is there perhaps a more objective one that sums up the situation?
