I meant speculative fiction elements in general. basically, if ti takes place entirely inside the real world, and there are no bits of "what if" I get a little yawny writing it. Oddly, depending on the author, I will occasionally read stories like that—but those are usually very light chick lit.
DoodlesI dunno.
It's got magic and fighting and people and stuff.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME.
Read my stories!I guess my new work would be Psych meets Lovecraft Lite
I write fantasy, along with bits of sci-fi. The story I'm working on right now is Steampunk.
Looking for some stories?Always fantasy.
I think I'll probably do mostly fantasy with bits of other genres in it, that way it isn't vanilla fantasy. Or maybe other genres with bits of fantasy in them. Either way there will be fantasy and something else...
Hopefully not telescopic avocado music box warmers, as they tend to cause massive problems.

Has ADD, plays World of Tanks, thinks up crazy ideas like children making spaceships for Hitler. Occasionally writes them down.I have the urge to break my works down into specific genres even more now... because why the fuck not?
- Knightfall (science fiction): primarily a superhero story in the midst of a grander space opera setting, but the plots that comprise the cycle itself are very military science fiction in nature, and technically via the backstory it's alternate history (with a double POD in the Second World War that results in a democratic Russian Federation in 1946 and a world with no nuclear weapons until the '70s).
- Crossover (science fiction): at its core, Crossover is a post-apocalyptic story about a kid caught in shit way over his or her (it's a WRPG concept, so the main character has no fixed gender/sex) head. Of course, it's also a semi-traditional alien invasion plot, except the invasion is in the backstory, the aliens win (handily), and the actual main plot is about the main character trying to fix a particularly fucked up situation. I suppose the simplest way to describe it is a post-apocalyptic alien invasion science fiction story, but I don't think that does what I have in my head and in my forty-page-long-and-counting outline justice.
- Innocence Lost (science fiction): steampunk, alternate history, World War I war drama. Simplest and least accurate description of a work I will ever give. Oh, and I suppose it's nominally a Western, too. Of course, really, the wall-to-wall hail of bullets and million-man-marches through trenches the length of nations is really just dress-up for what is the product of more than year of personal philosophical, moral, and political wrangling, but...
- American Armor (science fiction): in short, a political novel. In long, a superhero story about what happens when you personify American patriotism imperialism in what amounts to a corruption of a combination of Captain America and Superman, add in three other supers representing three other national and political identities, and turn the whole thing into a pitch black moral and political allegory for modern foreign policy concerns. Also, my personal tribute to the victims of 9/11.
- Midas (fantasy): alternate history urban fantasy superhero fiction with a cosmic horror story plot. That's the best approximation I can find for it.
- Soul (fantasy): dark high fantasy about the assassin of the gods attempting to clear his name by doing exactly what he's accused of doing: organize an armed resistance against a coup by the angels and demons. In the meantime, the gods plan to essentially wipe a continent clean of life, all the while unaware of the scheming and plotting going on behind their backs. Add in dystopia—lots of dystopia—and you have Soul.
- Project ARCHIVE (horror): a Slender Man story from the perspective of US Army Rangers. Because I wanted to do something other than 20-something white college students as the main characters.
Fantasy and sci-fi, mainly.
devArt | Pokemon RED: a fan-fic (also on dArt)Let's see...
- Remus: Dystopia, Action
- Help Me: Slice of Life (but a really, really dark one due to a Creator Breakdown)
- Untitled Script Frenzy project: Soft science fiction, Action
- Other stuff: Slice of Life
I haven't the slightest idea. One of them is sort of the Science Fiction equivalent of Urban Fantasy (Primer boxes, Anton's Key, Three Laws Compliance). One involves a lot of what would be fantasy settings were it not that most of them have no magic whatsoever, and what they do have isn't so much magic as Minovsky Physics. One is a Conspiracy Kitchen Sink that is basically Earth-as-we-know-it anyway.
Suggestions? I'd like to stop having to describe them at such length...
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableI prefer writing Fantasy, Urban Fantasy to be exact. No need to do too much research of past (or something historical) events and all that jazz. I can create my own rules regarding magic and of course, it's easier to write.
I like to incorporate humor in my stories to lighten the mood of certain darker moments. I feel that my stories are RPG-inspired (all thanks to a healthy dose of Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Persona series...) but even though I'm working on a Visual Novel right now, which is a genre that I would like to keep a distance to until I saw a need to give my own spin of the genre. Long story short, I'll write anything to make my creativity and writing skills grow.
I'm a murder mystery fan myself, if my name didn't give me away.
Fantasy.
