[up] and Ayu's too, Uguu~! For me, it'll be hard to take that voice seriously on a girl with a deadpan attitude.

There are some good questions that I have for the plot (and don't you dare say that A Wizard Did It): How did the Linkle Stone find its way into Mirai's house? Why was Riko on Earth (hopefully explained next episode)? Who or what made Mirai's grandmother believe in actual magicians? Overall, I'm looking forward to the answers.

Once again, the soundtrack is something I'm looking forward to getting. Everything is just so damn catchy! The ending theme is the best I've heard since Beyond the Sky (Doki Doki's first ending). Mahou Tsukai is visually much better though.

About Rika's Riko's reason to be on Earth I'd say it's some kind of training, since she's apparently a novice. Or it's juste hazing. tongue

Mirai is a less clumsy Haruka, I like her entusiasm about magic. Riko is really funny but I think her lack of magical talent causes her self steem issues. Perhaps Mirai will be a prodigy in magic school and Riko will feel jealeous, causing a rift in the relationship?

I like the villain, though I don't know exactly why. The monster was okay and they using the broom in the battle was cool. I bet real money that Mirai's granny is a retired magician/precure.

How did the Linkle Stone find its way into Mirai's house?

A Witch did it.

Why was Riko on Earth?

To find a Linkle Stone.

Who or what made Mirai's grandmother believe in actual magicians?

Either she's a crazy lady or had some interesting adventures when she was younger. Possibly both.

I mean it's also possible that her grandmother is also a witch living outside of the magic world for whatever reason.

It would be a nice throwback to the original, as the original series hinted that Honoka's grandma was a Precure back in Post World War 2 era Japan, and it's confirmed in a recent light novel.

To find a Linkle Stone.

Ah, I forgot about that part. Go me. tongue

Well, she's definitely more Genre Savvy than crazy. This series seems pretty quick to assume that All Myths Are True, and she's definitely ahead of that curve. She's either the previous Cure Miracle or from the Magical Land itself.

Don't forget Cure Flower, the 60 year old retired Cure. Grandmas being precure is nothing new.

Calling it now, her precure name was Cure Witch.

My current(simple, predictable) theories:

  • Mirai's grandmother is a witch/magician/wizard/magi/mahoutsukai/whatever you want to call it. Or an ex-member of such. This explains Mofuru and the Linklestone Diamond.
  • Riko wanting to find the Linklestones probably has something to do with her parents. I'm also guessing she wasn't supposed to go to the human world, but did anyways.
  • The Linklestones that the main two will get, Diamond, Ruby, Sapphire, and Topaz, plus the Linklestone Emerald don't quite add up to all of the Linklestones we've seen in the monologue, so I'm guessing more or another Precure will appear to use them.

I wonder what Riko is getting expelled for: going to the human world, losing the Linklestone, openly using magic in the human world, or bringing Mirai to the magic world.

bringing Mirai into the magic world.

I doubt this is a contributing factor or at least not as much as the others. Mirai DID involve herself in Riko's business after all, and both of them became Cures as a result. While the principal would absolutely be interested in the details of this meeting, I wouldn't put any blame on Riko for it either.

It would be a dumb reason yes, but traditionally magic schools tend to be run by idiots, at least on the middle-management level. I doubt it'll be a factor in Riko's expulsion since Precure doesn't tend to go that route, but it's not out of the question.

Still, Riko needs Mirai as a personal witness to explain everything that happened while the former was in the latter's world. If a parallel world is in danger (which Riko has likely deduced since Mirai found a Linkle Stone), then I'd rather have my superiors be as informed as possible regardless of the other rules that may apply.

Riko has plenty of reasons to bring in Mirai, whether or not there are rules against it. Doesn't mean the teachers and other staff will see it that way.

I hope their identities as Precure are common knowledge in the magic world. I kind of thought GoPri would have their identities revealed before the finale, but obviously that didn't happen. I'd like to see how regular students react going to school with superheroes on a daily basis. Magic students wouldn't have quite the same effect, but I'd like to see other students fanning over them and/or getting jealous of them when the Cures aren't on the job.

[up] True enough. However, there is one more thing that to look out for in a future episode if not the next one: the look on Mirai's mother's face when she actually introduces Riko to her and all of her Inept Mage hilarity. [lol]

That's another issue I'm curious about. If Mirai is attending the magic school, presumably her parents would know unless it's only done after regular school. Which means they would probably learn about magic and the fact that their daughter uses it. Would be fun to watch, so hopefully they go that route.

Yeah, that was a very terrible and tasteless thing for me to suggest, even for an abridged series edit.... My own sense of humor can be too sick without myself realizing it.

No, my intent wasn't to bully Riko; however, I was teasing her too much, too hard, and went overboard with it.

I'll link my thoughts on the episode here since they're pretty long. Suffice it to say that Riko is still my favorite and Mirai probably has the best mom in the franchise thus far even if she is flawed.
