Yeah, I mimicked how historically, aristocratic families would speak French rather than their native language such as the Russian Tzar.

But does that mean the translation spell is universal?

Also, I've read in the Zn T wiki that the roman expy faction uses tanks, is that right? Do they use it extensively?

There are tanks, but that part of the novels are just now getting translated.

The wiki finally got me, I've started reading Unfamiliar.

My favorite is still Unfamiliar. I wonder why the author hasn't posted it in Fanfiction.net.

I read Unfamiliar.

Louise really isn't going to survive this story unscathed,is she? Most fics leave her as a tsun teenage child like the original, but this? This is one dark Coming of Age Story.

More.

Points of Familiarity recently updated... with a chapter that completely trashed any semblance of sanity and spoiled the end because the author wants to go back and rewrite the whole thing. Buggeration.

If I ever do a crossover fic, I will go for the public apology. But there might be a fight anyways:

I formally apologize for answering the question asked by a noble lady about Lord Guiche de Gramont's whereabouts, which resulted in him being exposed as a two-timing womanizer. I have learned my lesson and vow not to answer any future questions from a noble about another.

As for Unfamiliar, I expect Wardes to still attempt assassination of Wales in the Chapel while Mercer is "patrolling outside"... only he's not outside at all and Wales is not really there.

Okay I know this says crossover fics in the thread title but we don't have a thread for pure Zn T fics. So I was wondering if anyone could give some constructive critiscm on this:

Maid of Honour.

I agree with everyone who is praising Unfamiliar. It probably is one of my top 5 favorite fanfics I've read.

Also, does anyone know when the next update will be? Or is Cpl_Facehugger writing a bunch of chapters at once? Either one is fine to me though.

I think the new chapters will come out within a month or two. At least that's what I hope.

I found this fic, in which Louise summons Fate/Zero Rider, Broskander the Great. It's pretty well-written, but sadly it hasn't updated since last summer.

Dude. I don't even watch Zero No Tsukaima (I read some of the light novels and disliked Saito enough to not want to watch it), but Unfamiliar is...so good. I really think it takes the source material and makes something...uh...better, or at least, more interesting from it.

If anyone hasn't been reading Surrogate of Zero, Bpen's rewrite of Points of Familiarity, you're missing out on some good stuff. It's not quite as angsty as Po F, is rather funny in places thanks to the way the story is being told, and (at least so far) seems to be telling a more coherent version of the story.

It's not technically a fic, but I'll be damned if I'm not having a great time reading this play-by-post quest.

Personally I like A Summon goes Wrong. It's a crossover with Mahou Sensei Negima. It doesn't take the usual part of the Zero No Tsukaima crossovers.

Check out my fanfiction!

Nice fic.

Also, this comment:

It also doesn't help that Louise currently believes (both because of her upbringing and Eva's actions) that Eva is a a horrible disgusting monster that is only allowed to live because no one can figure out how to kill her.
made me wonder who would win in a fight between Evangeline and SCP-682, whom no one knows how to kill either.

Never seen Familiar of Zero, but I might get into it for the crossover shenanigans. Here are a couple of thoughts:

I still like that idea someone came up with on Spacebattles; she summons Eddie Riggs.
