Markus raises his personal shield and does a telepathic scan.

If the shouty person is genuine, he'll humour them (no guaruntees about how long).

If they're not, he'll stun them with his particle magnum and bring them to the nearest hospital to sleep it off.

Your character encounters themselves, appearing much older, stepping out of a rift of some sort. How do they react?

Mella asks for the Trust Password, then proceeds to squee because /this is so cooooool/ now she gets to be in a sci-fi novel too!

Lane blames The Flash, and goes to ground. She doesn't recognize herself, because at this point she's just escaped a year in captivity, and hardly remembers her own face now. But that's some glowy portal shit, and she knows that's bad juju.

Moreena calmly asks her future self what the purpose of her visit is. Time travel is very difficult in her setting, even for a deity, and is always of the "closed loop" variety, but it's not unheard of.

Garkin, on the other hand, probably freaks out a bit before he eventually recovers and concludes that he has been drawn into yet another classic sci-fi plot.

Same, since it's interesting.

Still a great "screw depression" song even after seven years.

Hisui would attempt to cut her with the Grasscutter. As far as testing impossibilities go, clashing it against another impossibility - a blade cutting itself - would be the most useful one, academically speaking.

Your character finds the object of their romantic interest has locked themselves in a room, refusing to speak to anyone.

Charlie isn't into romance. He'd probably be a good boyfriend, but he doesn't want to be. But if his close friend had locked himself away, he would stay on the other side of the door until he came out again. Try to talk him out of it, but if that didn't work, he'd talk about anything and everything until the other answered.

Heron isn't a patient man. He'd probably start ranting about how offended he is that they aren't speaking to him. It's probably his fault they've locked themself up in the first place. He'd probably break up with them then and there, and find himself someone else.

Your character is on the run from the law. They find someone who knows their true identity, and threatens to rat them out if they don't help this person commit a murder. What does your character do?

Stormy manipulates this person into getting caught by the authorities then flees the state before she can be identified.

Your character has just found a dead body in their bathtub.

Heron freaks out inside, but tries not to show it. He calls his secretary, Malaika, to deal with it. He then has nightmares about it.

Malaika is grossed the fuck out. She's also pissed off at Heron for making her deal with it. She calls for a coroner, then gets the fuck out of the house.

Charlie is the only one wondering how a dead guy ended up in the bath tub in the first place.

Your character wakes up in an unfamiliar place, unable to remember the last few days, or how they got there. They found out they're now the mayor of the city they've woken up in, despite never having been there before. What do they do?

Compassion would be highly worried, because this would mean his unrealty had emerged. Thankfully, there would be no long term metaphysical consequences for the city while his reality was suppressed, but now he exists again, the city is mayorless. He would probably abandon the real bureaucracy to handle the power vacuum, with only the occasional nudge to avoid binding the whole city to himself.

Your character goes through an awful break-up and is forced to move to an unfamiliar environment as a result.

Heron would probably use the break up as an excuse to move; he needed to skip town anyway, people will work out he's The Ageless soon, if he stays.

Charlie feels really bad about having to move; he's a home body and would only ever move if his life was in danger. The break up would probably only be awful because he'd be worried he hurt the other person, since he's asexual anyway.

Your character is One Of Us; if they could be obsessed with anything, what would it be?

What isn't Lassie obsessed with? Largely pop culture and minute historical trivia, but if it can be found in a library in casual browsing, he's probably read volumes on the subject.

Guy is more interested in local history, and, as Lassie has instilled in her, coffee facts.

Your character has to keep a casual but good friend from going through with suicide. What is the method of suicide, and how do they prevent it?

CONTENT WARNING: SUICIDE

Heron is a doctor with little in the way of bedside manners...unless the person is psychotic. He's good at stopping people from hurting/killing themselves during psychosis, since he's had a few psychotic episodes himself. He knows what to do, trying to make their delusions seem less scary, rather than denying them outright. He convinced one schizophrenic patient, who was just about to eat her gun, that the voices in her head, telling her to off herself, were "misinformed", and that she should wait awhile, until "they'd had a good long think and were absolutely sure about the idea". She put it off long enough for him to administer anti-psychotics, and find her a safe place.

Your favourite character wakes up covered in blood, next to a dead body. They can't remember killing anyone. How do they react?

Markus gives up the decades; depending on how old he's feeling, he might transfer to a new clone. Guy's got at least a millenium ahead of hi, no worries.

Your character encounters someone who seems to be completely immune to their powers (if they have no powers, then the person doesn't seem to know they're there). How do they react?

Ascension speeds up the elevator. It is her nature to overcome all obstacles, no matter how minor.

Innocence takes the stairs. If there are none, she might create some without realizing.

Mella cheats by going to find her pal K, who happens to be a unicorn shapeshifter. If K's somewhat more limited than full unicorns power can't save her, she'll go to actual unicorns in the fantasy world she helped save—they can bring her back, and she'll become a shapeshifter too, so bonus.

Lane tries to see if her friends can cure it. that's Lori's superpower, working with poisons and diseases, and Caitlin's good at coming up with miracles. If they can't, she finds a way to make certain her death is blamed on the general who kidnapped and experimented on her for a year, and reads a ton of books. She's glad she's at least dying free.

your character discovers their closest friend has made a deal with the villain/ an antagonist for your character's safety.

Gabriel would get angry at Gary. Not because Gary is making deals with the antagonist (Gabriel doesn't take a little thing like being enemies too seriously), but because he finds the idea insulting. Now he'll have to completely burn the antagonist's operation to the ground and salt the earth just to make a point.

Sheila, being a staunch Nay-Theist, would tell the would-be Messiah to screw off. While she does hang out with the likes of Loki and Apollo on a regular basis, actually becoming a follower of a divine-ish being is out of the question in her worldview. And should the Messiah figure try to force her to join, she's more than willing and able to defend herself.

Heron hopes its a community filled with The Ageless, it would be nice to not have to flee the country every 5-10 years. Otherwise he's not particularly fussed, but he hoped he'd had prior warning. Now he's going to need to buy new furniture.

Malaika demands to see the king/queen/president/dictator and orders them to find her a way home. She demands to know where the fuck she is, and who the fuck thought it was a good idea to send her here. She rants and raves until she's put into exile.

Brother–Sister Team Rosalind and Charlie see it as an adventure. They make friends with all the magical creatures and, more importantly, the lands most powerful citizens. Rosalind uses her Action Girl abilities to get rid of the Big Bad terrorizing the community. Charlie becomes a magical civil rights activist. They live happily ever after.
