Isaac would cry like a little bitch or faint... maybe both.
Ivan had to go through it (though it was a situation, not a "creature"), he wangst'd until he got tired of it, then got better.
What would your character do if he could change one part of your story. I'm not a native english speaker, please forgive my bad grammar and misspells.
Cora: "Can I change the part where I nearly get strangled and then puke all over the King's floor? Kthnxbai."
Ran: "I wish I didn't have to think that Dax was dead. "
If there was to be a movie adaptation of your work (and the next character was somehow canny about Hollywood, even if it's anachronistic), who would they want to play them?
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaIan: "Anthony Hopkins - he doesn't look a bloody bit like me, but at least I know the bugger can do a Kiwi accent."
Your character is suddenly in a situation where the next meal and basic amenities of life are no longer guaranteed.
Benny would choose Shia Labeouf, although he would be much too old to play him at this point, it would still be awesome. He could play the annoying bratty child and the action hero all at the same time.
Edward would choose Bruce Willis, because Bruce Willis is awesome, and Edward wishes he were awesome.
Catherine would choose Patricia Heaton of Everybody Loves Raymond fame, since she feels she can really relate to the character in the sitcom.
Benny would be frightened a little, but will quickly toughen up to do whatever it takes to survive.
Edward's been in this situation before. He'll have to rely on his wits and resourcefulness to get by.
Catherine would freak out. She'll have to rely on her husband for support.
Your character has been invited to a formal dance by his/her love of his/her life. Is he/she prepared?
edited 5th May '11 12:45:50 AM by WackyMeetsPractical
- John is more or less prepared for everything...except something that involves social senses. He would be, invisibly, troubled. The biggest problem is that he's more or less Asexual, but would nonetheless accept the invitation just to humor her.
- Travis would not be prepared, because he's...frankly far from being civilized which, to his dictionary, involves a messy brawl in some way or another. He is Genre Savvy though, so he would try to be as much of a gentle he could.
- Mandeline already has been to some socials due to her family's name, but would feel alienated nonetheless.
- N is prepared. He likes that kind of stuff.
Your character makes a really good Badass Boast to someone. S/He just nonchalantly says "I'm sorry, what?"

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Normal it's TEOTWAWKI after all
Tango or Athena : prepared except for the clothes. They can do anything as long as they're together.
Ace: freak out. She can handle anything but this. She can't dance, she dosen't have the right clothes, and she's never been on a date.
if the opponent honestly didn't hear most of my characters would repeat themselves or just say " heard of Pheonix? I work for them". If he was mocking them : if walking away is an option do so ; if defeat means friendship kick the opponent's ass; if the opponent is a compleat monster or has harmed any of the characters friends beat them within an inch of their lives, take their shoes, coat, and weapons and leave them tied up and helpless in the middle of nowhere.
Your charicter wakes up on a ship at sea

'Shit. Shit. Where am I? Oh, God, people only say that in films. I've become a cliche. Shit. Okay, let's think calmly about this, how am I going to get off this boat?'
Your character gets a phone call saying that a close family member has been involved in a car accident.
Scepticism and doubt lead to study and investigation, and investigation is the beginning of wisdom. - Clarence DarrowTappio Metsänen answer once again.
- Your charicter wakes up on a ship at sea: He would probably scratch his head and say something like "Exactly HOW much did I drink last night?"
Would your character willingly commit cannibalism to save his/her life?
edited 5th May '11 7:15:00 AM by TheBorderPrince
I reject your reality and substitute my own!!!cannibalism :
Neither Dhana, Azubuike nor Kinola needs to eat, so...nope. Though Dhana might do it to creep a foe.
Kuhaku wouldn't, I think she'ld probably try to eat dust or maybe even her own hand before biting in a corpse.
As for Jewel...To mess up with an enemy, he might do it, but he would like better to die than to eat a fallen friend.
Your character is facing The Juggernaut. He's after one of his/her friends.
Look upon my R.O.U.S., ye mighty, and despair!Zenjiro brings the behmoth's attention towards him and makes his getaway as he leads the enemy to a clever trap. Albeit nervous as if the bad guy catches upw ith him, he's deader than dead.
Kojiro's sense of justice would lead him to tell the enemy to come after him, but without the help of his gadgets, he'd run away and turn from a stoic genius to a screaming llittle girl. Otherwise, he'd be setting up the trap Zenjiro is leading The Juggernaut into.
Janice's first reaction would be shoot at him, frustrated at the obvious results se'd say "Fuck it" and wing it
The next character passes out and wakes up naked next to someone of their same gender

Olaf would find something to drink to cure his hangover, and feel sort of confused. No weird antics, probably, just hangover and feeling weird.
Selena wouldn't care. She ain't gay (not primarily, anyway), but she has slept with women before. Sleeping with more or less random people is business as usual for her.
Your character wakes up after a massive party. Someone has died the night before, probably an overdose, and mostly everyone has left already. They're pretty much on their own with that mess. What do they do?
edited 5th May '11 10:33:10 AM by SavageHeathen
You exist because we allow it and you will end because we demand it.Ace it would depend on where the party was. • if it was at Phoenx and the dead guy is one of their own she would be very upset and deeply saddened. She would get on the radio recall everyone she could and they would together give him a proper burial. • if she was with Jason's people (her favorite Wacky Wayside Tribe) she wake whoever she could find to help her burry the guy. They are a lot more ok with death than she will ever be. • if she was with Ty's gang she would radio Tango. His family, his problem.
Your character has been beaten within an inch of their life had their shoes, coat, and weapons taken and was left tied up and hepless in the middle of nowhere.

That would mean Saunder is turned on like nothing else and, since he's tied up, has no way to take care of it. Commence screaming at the uncaring nature of the universe.
Situation: The lady or the tiger? (For those who haven't read the story here's a super brief wikipedia summary.)
edited 5th May '11 11:49:11 AM by Bur
i. hear. a. sound. The lady... all of them... every single time... except for one unamed character from a short story.
Your character's first love (unless dead, in which case is second love) tells him/her that he/she wants to get back together. I'm not a native english speaker, please forgive my bad grammar and misspells.
Both Ran and Cora would choose the tiger, because both of them have ways of dealing with such a thing. (Cora's more of a Barrier Warrior and goes for protection; Ran goes for gung-ho attack magic.)
: For Cora, already happened. And her reaction was... not pleasant for the poor guy involved.
The next character is being hounded all day by a friend or accquaintance who really wants that character to do something with them. However, the next character is busy.

"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaBenny feels bad for having to turn his friend's offer down. He would've loved to join him, but the lives of millions are kind of more important.
Edward says no immediately. He's glad he didn't have to make up an excuse to get himself out of it this time.
Catherine says no without hesitation. All of her friends know how busy she is, and it was kind of dumb of them to ask anyway.
An evil doppelganger of the next character are giving the next character a bad reputation around town.
Well people don’t exactly live in “towns” per se anymore, and my characters don’t exactly have “good” reputations. Actually anyone who hasn’t met them tends to think they are a myth.
If what twin boy is doing just makes them look more violent and less scrupulous then they actually are that may be a good thing.
Now if what they were doing were bad enough they would be stopped, but my characters may not bother rebuilding their reputations unless the actions were truly reprehensible.
You character meets an Actual Pacifist.

Lugar would track it down and kill it, even though it wouldn't matter because nobody would remember him as soon as he left the dimension anyway. As he often insisted, there was something called pride, even for a wraith.
Freya would try his best to get rid of the doppleganger. He didn't want anymore trouble.
Situation: Your character's best friend get trashed by another best friend (due to a Face–Heel Turn or otherwise). Your character...
edited 5th May '11 5:08:42 PM by TurnTable
Sam would: go about his daily business and ask about it merely to pass the time. after all, "its not like fights between friends are unusual, right?" he wont take sides and will insult both of them just as much as he would before the fight.
Ariana would: confront the other friend and find out why he picked a fight, yell at him a bit, slap him when he responds with a witty retort, kick him in the balls when she leaves as a complimentary gift, continue with whatever she was doing before she found out about the fight.
Your characters friend is stabbed by your character's ex-lover
edited 5th May '11 5:24:31 PM by Tarsen
Well, LS 03 would probably just be slightly shocked, since all of his friends and family are the sort of people who don't care much about being stabbed.
What if your character had found out that he was the last member of his species?
What if your character had found out that he was the last member of his species?
Vince: "Well... I knew it would come anyways." He shrugs, then... thinks about what to do next. Maybe go search out some whiskey and Drown His Sorrows one last time before departing for Earth or Aetherion. 'Cause he's not even a mammal anymore, let alone human.
Your character has to pull off an all-nighter. About what? How do they react before and during it?
edited 5th May '11 7:48:59 PM by CrystalGlacia
"Jack, you have debauched my sloth."Well all my characters are all human. Being the last human would not faze them nearly as much as the loss of their Nakama, their Soul mate or their child as the case may be. I would expect denial and hallucinations.
Now if they discovered that they aren’t human but rather that they are the last son of Krypton or something then they would think that was awesome. Maybe they are the cure! Ace would wonder how she could look so much like her mom if she is “adopted”. However none of them would mind being “adopted” or “different” as they are a bunch of misfits who “adopted” each other.
lol Not sleeping ar all is the norm for Phoenix employees. They need sedation to get a decent night’s sleep.
Your character meets an Actual Pacifist

Cora: "Cool, man. I don't know if I could pull of what you do, given my role as defender of the kingdom and all, but I respect the way you do things."
Ran: Say hello to her roommate, Nick.
The next character meets their Biggest Fan.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaLandon would start acting all "it was nothing"
Aurus would demand tribute in the form of the world's largest gummibear.
The next character is left alone with a zeppelin full of pies.
Emil: "Easier than usual..."
Ariadne: *blushes* "I... Well, I.... It's not like that!"
Ianto: "I'm not sure how to react to this." *hides*
Your character is confronted with something unspeakably horrid with a strong personal edge. What do they do?
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.
