This thread is to request that a locked article be unlocked. Please read the guidelines below before making a request.
- Please see Locked Pages and Permanent Redlink Club first. If an article is on the Permanent Redlink Club, it will not be unlocked, ever.
- Pages cut a while ago were automatically locked. Before asking for an unlock, make sure that the article you want to create is in the proper Namespace, has gone through YKTTW if it's a trope, and otherwise fulfills our guidelines for Creating New Pages.
- If you just want to make an edit to an article, post here
instead.
- Don't ask for new Main redirects. Those are only for old articles with lots of existing inbounds.

I'll start it off: could someone please unlock Hootie And The Blowfish so I can make a new page on it? The last page was cut for being copypasta from Wikipedia.

I've seen pages on equivalent works without much trouble. Also, if my reading of history pages is accurate, locked pages get much fewer edits even if you correct for edits that would not be accepted.

That's sort of the point. I'm not trying to sound unsympathetic here, but even if My Immortal is a trollfic (and Parody Retcon raises its ugly head here), that's still outside context; it doesn't affect the tropes present in the work.
The changes that you have in mind can easily be handled through the Edit Requests thread. I'll poll the mod team about the unlock.

Can Astral Transparency: Cole's Gate be unlocked please? Said game is an RPG game, not a visual novel, so I'm confused as to why it has been made to redirect to Astral Transparency Coles Gate instead.

I noticed the Dethroning Moment of Suck pages for That Guy With The Glasses and Zero Punctuation have been locked. I can understand that, but now that the rules on whether you can post whole episodes as DMO Ss has been clarified (you can't), these pages are in a serious need of a cleaning. And there's too much work to be done to make a simple post about them on the Edit Locked Pages thread. Therefore, I am asking if these pages can be unlocked.

The simplest solution is to sandbox cleaned articles and link them here so we can swap them in.

Can Hostile Takeover be unlocked. I'm thinking that it will better serve as a disambiguation page than Literature.Hostile Takeover would, seeing as "hostile takeover" can refer to an existing trope for example.

Could Analysis/Friendship Is Optimal be unlocked? It was cut on my request a while back due to a poorly-thought out article I had written there, and I think it would be better off if other people were allowed to write their own interpretations of the work there.

I'd like to request that the YMMV for Naruto be unlocked.
It's been locked for quite a while now and I think it'd be a good time to give it another shot, especially in light of recent reveals in the manga that sort of make some of the things on the page appear outdated. If I recall correctly I think there were Edit War issues, but that was quite a while ago and I'd like to think those tropers would have moved on by now.
