This thread is to request that a locked article be unlocked. Please read the guidelines below before making a request.
- Please see Locked Pages and Permanent Redlink Club first. If an article is on the Permanent Redlink Club, it will not be unlocked, ever.
- Pages cut a while ago were automatically locked. Before asking for an unlock, make sure that the article you want to create is in the proper Namespace, has gone through YKTTW if it's a trope, and otherwise fulfills our guidelines for Creating New Pages.
- If you just want to make an edit to an article, post here instead.
- Don't ask for new Main redirects. Those are only for old articles with lots of existing inbounds.
Original post
I'll start it off: could someone please unlock Hootie And The Blowfish so I can make a new page on it? The last page was cut for being copypasta from Wikipedia.

The content in the history needed purging with fire. Unlocked the page.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerThank you for unlocking the YMMV page!
Momentum, a function of mass and velocity, is conserved between portals. In layman's terms: speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out.I created a page for Self-Demonstrating. LOL Cats to avoid edit warring over the main page being in lolspeak. I started an independent thread on this question that was quickly locked because I misunderstood the name of this thread.
Evil is my favorite color.Alright, I got word of Eddie on TV Tropes Trollers. How is it different from Notable References To TV Tropes?

"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerFair enough, as long as the examples were moved.
Why is Fluidity locked?

Presumably, because it was a stub.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerWhy is Main.Shin Megami Tensei IV on the Permanent Red Link Club when its VideoGame.Shin Megami Tensei IV is not?
Fandoms are insane. It's not in the PRLC, but the SMTIV page shouldn't have been made yet. With only one trailer, we barely have any tropes.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerCan I please get YMMV.Blake Shelton unlocked? He's a singer, so it's okay to have a YMMV page for tropes pertaining to his songs (in particular, I want to add Covered Up).
Unlocked.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI don't really ask for an unlock here, but may I ask what caused the lock of The Three Burials Of Melquiades Estrada?
"Atheism is the religion whose followers are easiest to troll"For a start, it's the wrong namespace: The page for the film should be at The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada.
Can someone unlock the main page for Cee Lo Green? I would like to put a redirect to the music page.
^Why? It's not impacting navigation in any way.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWell most artists have a Main/ redirect to their Music page, and it's not like there's another artist/work/trope with that name that might use the space.
I don't think a /Main/ redirect adds anything useful here. Usually, they only exist for inbounds or because the correct namespace has no icons (which hampers navigation) but here there is none (wicks ought to be moved over manually).
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanCould a moderator please add Date Crêpe to It's Not Porn, It's an Index? The pun on date rape seems to be plain obvious to some (who pronounce crepe as "crape").

This is the wrong thread. The FAQ subforum has the right thread - Edit Request For A Locked Page.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanCan Rollerball be unlocked? I want to create a redirect to Rollerball there.
My troper wall^Why do you need that redirect? We usually only make main redirects to work pages when either a) there are wicks (these should be moved over, preferably) or inbounds to that name or b) it's necessary to find the way back from subpages (and since Film/ has a namespace icon, I don't think it's the case here).
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI would like Troper IRC Channel to be unlocked and restored, please. Eddie cut it as someone thought it was officially associated with TVT, but a notice at the top of the page would have been plenty. It was a very useful page for finding the channels and connecting, and the pinned thread in Yack Fest (which has its share of mods posting in) is still up.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I read that page. What made it look "official"? The fact that it was on the Administrivia index?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIndeed; it wasn't even in that namespace. Also, first bullet complete with original emphasis (grabbed from Google cache):
- #tropers: The original channel, where we tropers often hang out and just generally have fun. Unrelated to the forum or website, mainly - if you have questions about the wiki or need something changed, please go to Trope Repair Shop or Ask The Tropers.
If it's restored, we could easily also change the very first sentence to read "Did you know that tropers have set up some IRC channels?" so it's clear they don't belong to the website.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.
Judging by the name, it was cut for being troll bait and/or redundant to another page.
