This thread is to request that a locked article be unlocked. Please read the guidelines below before making a request.
- Please see Locked Pages and Permanent Redlink Club first. If an article is on the Permanent Redlink Club, it will not be unlocked, ever.
- Pages cut a while ago were automatically locked. Before asking for an unlock, make sure that the article you want to create is in the proper Namespace, has gone through YKTTW if it's a trope, and otherwise fulfills our guidelines for Creating New Pages.
- If you just want to make an edit to an article, post here
instead.
- Don't ask for new Main redirects. Those are only for old articles with lots of existing inbounds.

I'll start it off: could someone please unlock Hootie And The Blowfish so I can make a new page on it? The last page was cut for being copypasta from Wikipedia.

The Britney Spears page had been in a lot of disarray, with many tropes out of alphabetical order and so many links that are Main/[name] without the "Series" or "Music". I fixed a lot of tweaks and rearranged a lot of tropes, then I moved the tropes to the Trivia tab. But there is one thing missing: the YMMV page for Britney Spears is locked. I can't move the YMMV tropes to their appropriate page like this. Can you please unlock the YMMV page so I can move them?

For reference, the YMMV items they want to move are a) about the music and not Britney herself, and b) the songs don't have their own pages.
Also, there is a policy of no YMMV for real people.
That doesn't strictly apply due to the exception that creators whose works do not merit a full page (mostly short story writers, singer/songwriters, and essayists) can have YMMV/ pages for subjective tropes covering their works only.
Besides, the Britney Spears page isn't a creator page, it's a music page, which is a type of works page.
In that case, if the YMMV tropes are about her works, they are okay and the tab should be unlocked. Am I correct?
Also, for the love of God, can someone unlock Funny.Bill Cosby please? I only asked a week ago.
Why is Laconic.Godwins Law Of Time Travel locked? Locked Pages lists it as "Reason to be stated."

I almost think that we should run unlocking requests in the edit request thread, since that one gets much more attention than this.

Hi, could you unlock Analysis.Dance In The Vampire Bund? It was cut for having no relevant content (instead of just blanking it), but I don't see any problems in keeping it open.

Is Justin Bieber still a problem page? If it is, I'm fine with requesting an edit to it (a reference to his appearance in The Lonely Island's 100th Digital Short) in the other thread, but I just thought it was odd his page was locked.

I made my request about a week ago (752) and it has been skipped over completely. Not a word has been said regarding it, positive or negative.
I would very much prefer an answer to the proposal, even if said response is negative. It would no doubt be more polite than outright ignoring my queries.

It wasn't ignored, we just missed it. We do make mistakes sometimes. Contrary to a persistent rumor, we are not edit bots. I've unlocked it.
Also unlocked the Analysis page.
I have no idea if Justin Beiber is still a problem. Is he still controversial?

I'm so detached from that kind of music that I really wouldn't know.
He's still controversial and there's a substantial hatedom. I will personally watchlist the page and subpages if a tentative unlock can be arranged. I see no real harm in attempting to unlock the page, and if it does get full of bile, it wouldn't offend me to revert it to the current version and lock it back.

The page was only locked due to one person's actions, and neither VideoGame.Mass Effect 3 nor Internet Backdraft/Counterattack nor DethroningMoment.Family Guy are currently locked.
