Well, thats a shame.

After watching two seasons of Ultimate and first seasons of Hulk and Avengers I quit them . Aside for the oldest among oldest and anime, this is a first time I skipped a comic book cartoon. I repeat, I watched The Superhero Squad Show, The Avengers United They Stand, and Fantastic Four Worlds Greatest Heroes and I didn't quit.

So after I heard about The Spidey-Verse I did considered to go back even if just for that, but now I'm not so sure. I mean someone thought that making Spider-Girl sexist would be funny/interesting/logical thing to do?

I'm watching the teamup with the Guardians from last year. Ouch, Spidey. Bottom of the list.

So she's pretty much like the Straw Loser Batwoman from Batman The Brave And The Bold, right?

I enjoyed all four parts, faults and all.

@Theokal Yeah I think the show is lacking a bit. No arguments there.

It takes a whole lot to get frustrated at comic book show and eventually stop watching it (Beware the Batman being the only one because of how dull and empty it was).

[up][up]I dont recall her being sexist. Just a show-off.

[up]Interesting. How many episodes did you watched? Cause I found first half of series more interesting than the other with few exceptions.

[up][up][up] Then how were you able to watch all of Avengers Assemble? tongue

[up][up]Really? I thought the second half was stronger and more focused.

Anyway, I watched all four parts and I was somewhat disappointed. The forced morals were painful, Goblin as the main villain was boring, and the final battles with Spider-Goblin and Mecha Hellcarrier was very dumb.

A shame because it also had some great parts, such as the voice cast of all but Noir, the CGI of 2099 was really nice, the Ultimate universe in general was great, and I liked the Medieval takes on Doc Ock and Doctor Strange/Merlin.

[up]×8:Most of the Butt-Monkey jokes at Spidey's expense aren't funny, that being one of them.

I just didnt found Deathstroke or Harvey to be that interesting, especially to hold a three parter. I did enjoy Humpty and Killer Croc, but that episode with Barbara on date didnt felt as if it fit tone of the series.

[up]X11 I don't know why they thought it would be funny. Straw Feminist I guess.

@The Lempster Ju: Glad we agree on this.

Personally I thought Beware the Batman had a bit of a weak start, but it got better later on. I really like their take on Killer Croc: rare to see an interpretation of him that isn't a Dumb Muscle.

[up][up][up] Mecha-Helicarrier? Really? Now that's pushing the Merchandise-Driven side of things!

[up][up] Couldn't agree more. I am really sick of this whole protagonist being the Butt-Monkey thing; I saw it here, in Ben 10: Omniverse, even in some Danny Phantom episodes... when will the writers realize this isn't funny?

To be fair, Danny Phantom was specifically copying Spider Man with that sort of thing in the first place.

I mean in how they both are Expies of previously existing characters with extra Jerkass tendencies.

That was a simple joke. Please stop being so thin skinned when it comes to your precious shows.

[up][up][up]Yeah, except Spider-Man never was that much of a Butt-Monkey in any previous version. Sure he was a Doom Magnet, but that was played for drama rather than just for cheap jokes; whenever he fought villains, he usually was portrayed as competent.

[up]I don't know, I'm just getting tired of it. This Loser Is You always irritated me as a trope.

I question Spider-Girl due to the fact that when DC did this joke they did point out male version of female heroes as well. I mean a brief mention of a male White Tiger, or Dagger would've been fun. Still it was nice to see a classic pumpkin bomb. haven't seen one of those since the last show.

I feel the need to point this out: the basic plot and execution of "Web Warriors" so far seems a bit similar to the Story Arc of Teen Titans' Season Five

The main characters briefly team-up with a major Superhero team (The Avengers here, the Doom Patrol for Teen Titans), then, this team-up subsequently causes other young heroes to become thrusted into the spotlight. Now, it's up to the main characters to find and recruit these new young heroes before a looming villain gets to them first.

Just a comparison i had to make.

It's not exactly a new concept. I think the X-Men comics were probably the first to do it.

Also, the New Warriors plot is unrelated to the Avengers team-up.

[up][up]Though with Teen Titans each team-up also gave an original member a bit of focus, while here the SHIELD team is mostly sideline with the exception of Sam.

Just watched parts 3 and 4, and I have to say I liked the depictions of Noir and Miles Morales more than 2099 and Petra. I thought it was weird that they decided to stick with Miles' "The Ultimate Spider-Man" title, when Peter has been all over that in this show.

I'm also kind of depressed that the Spider-Ham Looney Toons pastiche came off as naturally as it did.

Also also, did Peter ever find out that Spidey 2099 was Miguel O'Hara and not an alternate version of himself? I can't remember.

Nope, he was under the that all of the Spider-people were alternate versions of Peter Parker until he met Miles.

While we're on it, I was disappointed that universe's JJJ wasn't pro-Spidey and when did 1610 Goblin get wings?

That clearly wasn't universe 1610. In the 1610 verse Miles didn't witness Peter's death, and Peter didn't die saving the world. Just his family. Also, 1610-Miles already has experience with alternate Spider-Men and he wouldn't have been as weirded out as he was. And his issues with cowardice were resolved early on and in a different way.
