Okay, I occasionally enjoy both Busy Street and TGWTG, but even I gotta say:
That's one of the worst lists ever. Is "having only two items in his store" really a valid reason for not hating IG? And the list does raise some good points, such as how making fun of him has been overdone; but the whole things is undone by the fact that IG has exhibited the same behavior as BS accuses TGWTG of exhibiting (for example, they still claim that TGWTG stole charity money but only put a tiny notice at the bottom about IG's fake contest). So, bad list in all.

Well, looking back at some of the comments here, it wasn't that they were accusing TGWTG of directly stealing the money from the Ronald Mc Donald House, but Gerpy did think they may have pocketed some of the donation money that the fans and contributors gave from last year's drive to fund Kickassia. The fact that TGWTG acted as a middleman to the whole charity and never did release an exact figure, to them, adds a cloud of suspicion to the whole affair.
Also, the article about IG stated that he didn't use pocketed donation money, note, not charity money per say, to fund a video, the same way TGWTG has been accused of doing to film Kickassia.
Course, BS also considers Kickassia to be one of the worst examples of artistic film making in recorded history, so that was more a Take That! at the end more than anything.

Getting into Kickassia would be not a good idea, but that slander about the charity drive still angers me because that implies they're utter lowlifes (I mean in his sum-up video, Doug was so sweetly moved. He's a good actor... but not that good). And I think Dream Huntress linked to a post where they did release the numbers of the money they earned.

Wait, didn't these people see Haunted Investigators? Or the Road Trip videos? Would they call Kickassia bad if they actualy sat down and watched those videos?!

This hand of mine is burning red! It's glow is calling me to defeat you!The Chinese bootleg comment was a joke.
The Irate Gamer is hilarious. He thinks a 2 move combo in a fighting game is impressive.
Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.Robbie— don't say things like that, it weakens your case. Just because there are worse things out there does not automatically mean something else is good.
Read my stories!Well, Kickassia in of itself is very Love It or Hate It. So we'll leave at that.
Well, I've said my theory as to why BS is very accusatory towards the Drive, if you want to ask the site staff yourself in the hopes of understanding why, go here: busystreetblog@gmail.com
@Scardoll: Personally, I love the Irate Gamer, in the ironic sense of course. You watch his videos to see his editing mistakes, his complete lack of knowledge towards games and gamers in general, hell, sometimes, I think IG is really a Stealth Parody of the Nerd.
Course, can't say the same for the Chris and Scottie Roadtrips, but that's another story.

Oooh, I did want to ask you something in particular. In Busy Street's review of the series, what the hell was up with the blatant sexism? Calling the Chick a cunt and raging about her being in the kitchen was pretty awful.

I sometimes have trouble telling the Gamer from parodies of him, and I find at least one of his detractors to be more annoying than the man himself.
Kill all math nerdsSo are you saying that the Irate Gamer is actually good, or his videos are better than Kickassia?
This hand of mine is burning red! It's glow is calling me to defeat you!No. I am saying that you are using logical fallacies and are acting in an insulting way to the thread and tv tropes as a whole.
Seriously though, whether the Irate Gamer is good or bad is irrelevant to the quality of Kickassia.

Read my stories! He's saying that Kickassia isn't good just because The Irate Gamer releases stupid movies.
Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.Um, I never said anything
We are referring to the troper "Robbie," not you, Robbie Rotten.
Read my stories!Oh, Sorry. Stupid names...
Guys? If I could have a moment.
I decided to drop both Jordan and Mike's names in BS's page in order to prevent confusion with people thinking they and the rest of the staff are one and the same. As well as additional information regarding Stu Levy and the Mixtapes.
And, if what their saying on twitter is any indication, I just screwed up the whole article in their own eyes, and got a number of facts about the site wrong in the process.
So, on the off chance Gerpy or even Mike (DJMTP) are reading this, I guess your input would help a bit for me to correct my mistakes.
You're right, I don't know much about the way BS works. Thus, I would like to know more.

I didn't love Kickassia, but I didn't view it as bad filmmaking either. In fact, calling it "filmmaking" is already moving into outer space debate-wise. I don't know why it's worthy of such intense discussion.
I'm a skeptical squirrel@Johnny, Perhaps that should be best left to another thread someday. There's also the gmail account if you want to talk to Jordan personally about it.
Anyways, page has been reedited, my apologies to the BS community for my screw-ups and essentially, editing without thinking.
I think what those guys need to realize is that once your work goes onto a public wiki that anyone can edit, you can't control it anymore. If people want to add Completely Missing The Point or Kick the Dog and do it not inflammatory, then they should be allowed without getting their edits twisted into another opinion.
I find it funny that some folks on Busy Street actually care what the page says. If TV Tropes is supposedly run by a bunch of immature fetish-hungry That Guy With The Glasses fanboys, why give a shit? It could be a freaking Dada article and it would still not matter in the long run.
But whatever, work pages are supposed to be objective, YMMV pages slightly less so. So if you see subjective shit or natter, cut it.
EDIT: Actually, I now do see a good reason: Snark Bait. However, there's far funnier pages made with far more ineptitude. They should check out Troper Tales, since those pages are pretty much the ultimate in unintentional hilarity.

Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.- Arguably, this Troper is probably the youngest of which who suffers from this Trope. This is practically the invisible label that's under the invisible Berserk Button of this 13-year old kid. He broke 33 pencils in his life, and had a good friend break two of those pencils because they were too hard. He even yelled at someone because that guy was the third person who asked if he could be punched for the third time, with a teacher only a mile ahead!
Wait, didn't that post have a pot hole to Complete Monster somewhere in there, or did I imagine that?
Aww, crap, I didn't mean to post here. Oh well.

They already did one on, ugh, Fetish Fuel (which got cut thankfully.)
Though the site isn't overrun with fanboys though.

You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!
It's the difference between a cheap Chinese bootleg and an expensive Chinese bootleg.
