Fanfic Ideas You're Sure Only You Think Are Good

Inspired by the thread over at Media: Video Games. Basically, you post fanfictions ideas you have that you enjoy, but you think other people would dislike or outright hate. By "other people" I mean fellow fanfic writers who are also fans of whatever you're writing for. For example, me:

1. Drowtales and Super Robot Wars crossover: Yeah. I have no idea why I thought this was a good idea. The two universes are 'way different in tone for this to be smart. And I'm actually writing it.

2. Medaka Box and Jojos Bizarre Adventure crossover: A bit better, but still an odd combination. And I'm not entirely sure why people might think it's a bad idea.

Harry Potter, only no one actually has magical powers. Hogwarts is simply an elite boarding school, possibly with ties to the secret service and upper levels of the government; Voldemort is a serial killer and terrorist with a massive cult of personality bent on establishing a fascist dictatorship. All the magical MacGuffin s are simply top-secret documents, weapons, and gadgets.

You could market it as political thriller/highschool romance melodrama and no one would be the wiser.

A Need For Speed and Initial D crossover.

Think about it: Tuners versus Exotics!

Epic stare-down scene between Clarence Callahan and Fujiwara Takumi.

I like.

Mirai Nikki and Love Hina crossover. Yuno is bonded with Keitaro instead of Yukiteru.

She brandished the bloody axe as if it was no more than a toy. "Now you're really sure you have no further use for that hand... Narusegawa?"

Dexter vs. Columbo

Venture Genesis Evangelion. Discuss.

A AU for Fanfic/Luminosity that is itself a AU for Twilight, that shows Rational!Bella becoming the "queen" of the vampire world.

EDIT: as a sub-set of the above idea, I would like to see if Rational!Bella's parents would have interesting powers

@Dream: I'd also read the Harry Potter one. For the Dexter vs. Columbo, I'd probably read it if it had that other Dexter.

Fire Emblem: the Logistician's Tale.
(Common military saying goes: amateurs study tactics, professionals study logistics. Keeping even a forty-person combined-arms band adequately supplied in hostile territory is going to be a challenge. Unfortunately, logistics tend to be of interest only to military historians; tactics keep everyone else's attentions.)

Harry Potter, only Voldemort is obsessed with bees rather than snakes.

Although the image of Voldemort in a yellow and black striped furry cape is probably hilarious enough to give it mainstream appeal.

...as much as crackfic can have mainstream appeal, anyway.

What's to discuss, exactly? It's awesome, you're awesome for thinking of it, get started on those chapters.

I started writing on my idea, but it occurred to me that I hadn't watched enough of Dexter in order to properly write the characters, and I really don't think I want to go through four seasons of the thing on Netflix (and that's if the whole thing's up there, which it probably isn't)

I've seen the series pilot and the first episode of season 3. And I've read the wikipeida and trope pages.

Maybe I'll get on it in a little later. But I have a ton of writing projects on my backlog that haven't been going anywhere.

^^ Really? What the hell kind of plot would it have? Sure, work of the kind NERV's into is right up Rusty's alley (... dear god, Rusty's alley...), but what actually happens?

Indiana Jones And The Fullmetal Alchemist. Indy and Ed team up to once again fight Nazis who intend to combine Alchemy and Physics to make the ultimate weapon. Also [[Valkyrie Colonel Claus Von Stauffenberg]] shows up at some point, he's the Real World equivelant to Colonel Mustang.

Obviously it was supposed to also be a crossover with Sonic The Hedgehog as well.

Team Fortress 2, Sonic the Hedgehog, X-Men and...uh, D&D crossover.

Batman is a human bat (of sorts).

Rouge is a humanoid bat.

Somewhere out there, someone is reading this and thinking of doing Batman/Rouge Rule 34.

This post means Doomsday.

And that "someone" will probably be You-Know-Who...

Back on topic: I'm pretty sure that I'm the only one here who finds the idea of a Metal Gear Solid / Bomberman crossover somewhat appealing, especially if it's a Crack Fic or something humorous like that.

I felt this way about my idea of a Harry Potter fanfic where he's a scientist and tries to apply the scientific method to things. So yeah.

Three words: Methods of Rationality. It's supposed to be pretty popular as HP fics go, but I haven't read it. (And personally, what I've seen of the prosody so far is slightly discouraging, though that's highly subjective.)

Goddammit. I missed the blue link at the end, and now I feel like an idiot.
