The font for the subs in that trailer is killing me.

Up to 'Infiltration on Fendel' trophy: Fendel storyarc came and left. First genuine difficulty spike. (Dat boar! Dat Kurt!)

• Richard waited until we were exhausted from the Kurt fight to drain the valkines. Crafty. But he is still trying to resist the demon inside. Let's sing about hope.
• Sophie learned through Kurt that humans are fragile and short lived... yet she is decided to fight Richie. Something big is going to happen between them soon.
• Nothing to say about Asbel and Cheria, aka Dumb and Dumber. (No, wait, those are Lloyd & Colette...)
• Malik got his past issues presented and solved in this country. So he is going to fall out focus forever?
• PASCAL IS AN AMARCIAN. It's so cute the way she casually drops that fact on her friends... and they weren't extinct, there is a reasonable amount of them still alive. Even if their Wallbridge and Sable Izole settlements did fall.
  • Poisson is best Amarcian. Cute twiggy arms + slightly rosy cheeks + tasty cotton candy hair. I can't take my eyes off her arms. I want to kiss all over them. (Me: I don't sound like that about Kohak's legs!) Personal Fanon moment: is that a Mega Ring on her wrist?
• And then a big scene in World's Eye. PLOT DUMP! Lambda = black demon = 'seed of destruction'! (I noticed the beings infected by Lambda have the Nova attribute, as in a celestial body. So a giant Space Flea?) Sophie = Protos Heis = savior of 'Fodra'. Fodra = obligatory second world, I presume.

Even then, Namco is going pretty fast releasing Tales. We have had Graces, Xillia 1, Symphonia HD, Xillia 2 and Zestiria since 2011. That's almost a yearly frequency.

Dude, Zesteria's music is on point. Like, I haven't heard a song from the game that wasn't really good.

Can we hope Zestiria to take Legendia's crown of Best Soundtrack? It would be good to have a little more something to it than 'the game where the heroine is bashed... by the fandom'.

More Graces stuff: (yeah, pretty short chapter)

Up to 'the Other end of the Sky' trophy: this game went all Star Ocean on us.

• Richard is sending monsters into the world, Sophie is going blind after a Cutscene Final Gale on her face and Pascal just suggested she may NOT be human. After 35 gameplay hours, SOMEONE noticed! (Poisson appears to provide info and nurse Sophie. Poisson = still best Amarcian.) A good bet on Sophie's nature: human bioweapon a la Konjiki no Yami.
• Everyone except those two and well, Asbel (because an Idiot Hero never stops being relevant) have fallen out of focus.
• Pascal solves issues with SCIENCE: The Chapter. We go to some ruins to reroute a heat ray cannon. After that we will get the Global Airship. (Me: Still like Airfread's Platform better, but it's just me.) Fodra is in another planet, so will it have Earth, Ice and Thunder valkines? (Me: *sigh* Nope...)

I think by this point we can all agree that Alicia isn't Zesty's heroine. First female party member =/= heroine.

Mikleo is the only heroine. -_-

Lailah is best character though. I'm busy farming equipment so she can be even more powerful~~

Having seen that Sengoku Basara Sumeragi trailer from several months ago recently. I am amused Masamune and Mitsunari have Sorey and Mikleo outfit and weapons.

Okay okay, then if Alicia =/= heroine, we can call Zestiria 'The game where an unimportant yet temporary playable female is bashed by the fandom'. Geez, that's too long.

Friend: Up to 'the Fallen Eden' trophy: the Fodra storyarc has been... surprisingly... infuriatingly... SHORT. A main city and a couple dungeons and... we are back to Ephinea. (Me: It's Graces version of Elympios, pretty much.)

• No time for crazy conspiranoic theories. This is the Miss Emeraude Explains it All Chapter. Lambda = parasitic life form found in Fodra's core. Sophie = Ridiculously Human Robot, and nothing more. Oh, and her 'power of light' is just a bunch of funky nanomachines she inserted into Lhant's Triplets (Cheria: I am not your sister, Asbel!) Okay, time for ONE more plot theory:
  • Lambda's Cocoon reeks of Final Dungeon. So much that we may get a teleport out of it when we reach the room previous to the Final Boss, and then a crapload of sidesquests will open (that infamous Zhonecage too?)
  • Emeraude will be a Big Good and do a sacrifice after realizing she and Cornell are guilty of the Lambda fiasco. Richard will be freed but Emi will die in a Taking You with Me moment (or, after having been in stasis for 1000 years, her body will finally crumble... EW.) Her last words will be calling Sophie by name and not 'Protos Heis' having learned not to objetify her.
  • Richard joins in the F Arc (but having hosted Lambda gave him new artes!) Sophie lives as a girl and not a robot and takes place in Fodra: Lambda scattered all life energy he absorbed and revitalized it (so that we visit new dungeons.) Lambda was Only Mostly Dead and has found a new host to infect or some shit. Right?

OH BOY. There is so much WRONG on those theories that I don't know where to begin.

(Anyone got more data on that Graces + Symphonia HD deal going on somewhere? If we had not played the Symphonias to death already and my partner had not found Graces at such cheap price, it may have been even interesting.)

I was under the impression people didn't hate her (it's Rose they aren't fond of) but the way she was treated (being shat on by the narrative).

Zhonecage would only be available in the Wii version so don't expect it if you are playing the English version. To unlock it in F you need to beat the F arc first then go back to the main game.

No, you only need to beat the final boss of the main game and load your clear data save at the final save point. It'll unlock the Zhonecage skit.

I'm doing the Zesty bonus dungeon now (The Charis) and Jade almsot kicked my ass. ;_; He just spams Meteor Swarm as soon as his HP drops.

So the ENG main cast has apparently mostly revealed themselves:

• Sorey: Robbie Daymond
• Alisha: Alexis Tipton
• Lailah: Carrie Keranen
• Rose: Caitlin Glass
• Mikleo: Not yet

Wow, some new faces, that's interesting. I almost expected/feared that Sam Riegel would voice Sorey.

Still no confirmation on Mick but he sounds so much like Scott Menville I can't help but feel they're keeping him a badly-hidden surprise.
