    Future Opponents

Girlfriend DOES mention her at the end of "Boyfriend vs. Big Sister", so we may see her (and maybe even Pico as well) in the video. While the mod was cancelled at first, GameToons did cover Sky's mod, so this doesn’t mean Cassandra's mod won't be covered.

Abigail

Sunday mentions her and talks about how her guitar is a literal axe. Player thinks about checking her mod out sometime.

Updike

He makes a cameo in Sunday's garage, and she tells Player that she hates him. Possibly a foreshadowing for Player actually meeting him. He also makes an appearance from "Player goes to School" as a teacher. He might serve as a Knight of Cerebus trying to capture Girlfriend and Whitty and kill them for the "good of society".

The real Boyfriend, in place of The Skeld

In the original Vs. Impostor, The Skeld was the level where Boyfriend was the Impostor. However, in the Impostor V2 video, The Skeld is entirely excluded. Maybe GameToons is saving that week for a climactic final where Player takes Tomongus's place against the real Boyfriend, since Player is just an imitator (an impostor in a more literal sense, if you will). Boyfriend takes his life and girlfriend back and Player reverts to his Amogy form as he denies his blatant Face–Heel Turn against the FNF Multiverse.

  • I don't find that likely. Within the Friday Night Funkin' universe, Player is the real Boyfriend because the game made him that way. When the game first came out, descriptions made it so that the player is the Boyfriend, so the videos may be going by that analogy. Player mentions in the V2 video that he's not a character from anywhere. He's just Player, and he'll take on the form of whatever game he's playing. I believe the reason The Skeld was Adapted Out is because it's not canon to the official Vs. Impostor storyline.
  • Also, Vampire Boyfriend sounding exactly like Player seems to confirm that Player is indeed the Boyfriend in this universe.

He makes a cameo during the Big Sister episode in the flashback photos. It's safe to assume he'll get an episode at some point.

How Sonic.exe Round 2 will be handled
  • "Triple Trouble" will be Adapted Out, as not only is it 8 minutes, Tails, Knuckles and Eggman are either, in the former two's cases, dead in ways where them coming Back from the Dead troublesome or, in Eggman's case, not even dead.
    • Jossed… well, sort of. "Triple Trouble" appears, but it is shortened with only Xenophanes's sections. Tails .exe and Knuckles .exe appear, but never sing, and Eggman .exe is absent.

Huggy Wuggy
Poppy Playtime Logic exists, and they have managed to crossover FNF Logic with Among Us Logic before, so it may not be out the window.

This would be a trilogy of videos:
  1. A video mainly staring the two titular characters interacting with Player and Girlfriend, ending with the duo stuck in the 3D dimension.
  2. A video about Dave and Bambi: Golden Apple Edition, mainly involving the residents of the 3D dimension and how they interact with the main duo.
  3. A Darker and Edgier video with Sart Producer as the Big Bad, similar to the video staring Taki.

    Future Standalone Episodes

It will be a Spin-Off starring Captain, who decides to check out the game to see what’s so special about it and hopefully say hi to Player, only to get shoved into an old arcade cabinet by Daddy Dearest. He and Itsumi then team up to fight their way out of the machine and free all the trapped souls.

This will be a Spin-Off starring Veteran, who decides to check out Friday Night Funkin' himself. Only to get blasted off into outer space and become the mayor of Fever Town, where he gets into all sorts of Shenanigans with his new girlfriend, Tea.

  • Semi-Confirmed with Hunnii's appearance in "Taki: Sarvente's Evil Twin" and said video taking place in Fever Town, Jossed with the premise of the video, where it focuses entirely on Taki himself and her murder spree.
Mods that will not be covered

Below is a list of mods that will most likely not be covered for a variety of reasons.

Vs. Flippy: Flipped Out! will not be covered due to it delving more into Flippy's backstory.

Sure, they already managed to lighten up VS Flippy by removing the blood and exaggerating Flippy's PTSD to near-comedic levels, but Flipped Out is a different story, with Flippy's murderous tendencies and post-traumatic stress definitely NOT Played for Laughs unlike in Friday Night Funkin' Logic. Hell, the second song even shows him covered in blood.

  • There's also the issue of it being multiple mods covering the same character which, as shown by Gold being Adapted Out in the Friday Night Trepidation episode, doesn't seem to happen.
  • Sorta jossed, the GameTunes video "Attack but everyone sings it" features Flippy singing the song using his Vs. Flippy: Flipped Out! voicebank, but the video still uses his VS Flippy design.

Vs Sonic.exe will not be covered for similar reasons to the above.

Sonic.exe is about a demonic figure resembling Sonic the Hedgehog killing all the Sonic characters in horrifically violent ways which are not Played for Laughs in the slightest. In fact, he tore Tails' head off and impaled it! Not even removing blood would be enough to make this character advertiser-friendly.

  • Jossed. They were thankfully able to tone him down, while still being very deadly.

Sadly, this one probably won’t get covered because Girlfriend mentioned the events of it happening off screen unless it's covered in a Flashback.

It wouldn’t really make sense since it's a Prequel and Player was not apart of this world at the time of the events.

Again, this is a Prequel, so Player’s presence wouldn’t make sense. But there’s also the fact that Lia is a serial killer (with the third song showing her with blood all over), and Mia is a drug addict. Neither of which are advertiser friendly.

While this one is understandable since it’s an alternate universe of FNF, it’s also because of the dark subplots involving Soft!BF’s abusive parents (and the Dearests in general being more abusive towards their daughter), the likes of which wouldn’t go well with FNFL, which is known for lightening the plot of some mods.

Beach Brother

While Cassandra doesn't appear in family photos, she at least got mentioned by Girlfriend as her sister. The same can't be said for Beach Brother, whose existence was never hinted at. He doesn't even appear or get mentioned in the Beach Episode, which could've been the perfect opportunity to introduce him. Therefore, it's likely that he doesn't even exist in this universe. It's possible that the real life reason is that his creator is a figure of controversy.

This is pretty obviously not going to be covered for a few reasons:

  • 1). Similar to Sonic.EXE above, this mod has plenty of Nightmare Fuel, except this mod is even worse, especially Hypno's transformation in "Left Unchecked" and Gold in his entirety.
  • 2). Boyfriend is kidnapped by the time the first song comes in, with Girlfriend following suit after "Left Unchecked", and it's currently unknown whether they were killed or not.
  • 3). "Safety Lullaby" is completely voiced on Hypno's end, which hasn't been done on the channel before.

  • Jossed. This mod has been covered, but with a few slight changes and an ending where Girlfriend saves Boyfriend, Gold, and Red and brings them back to life. However, Hypno's Body Horror in "Left Unchecked" was kept.

Any mod that mainly has an Author Avatar their main star or a significant character.
Considering the fact that Cesar Fever was Adapted Out of the Friday Night Fever episode and Vs Nonsense and Vs Bob And Bosip haven't had episodes yet, it's fair to say that GameToons is avoiding these mods entirely.
  • Cesar Fever has appeared on a few music videos from GameTunes, so sort of Jossed.
    • Not to mention that Amor had also showed up in a GameTunes music video.
  • Well, Vs Bob And Bosip will definitely not be covered due to recent drama with Amor and the mod's deletion.

This is a Prequel, which makes zero sense at all considering Player joined FNF by the time the events of the Tutorial and Week 1 start.

The mod's lore is meaty enough to eliminate all Real Life factors from the source media, thankfully, but several more problems remain:
  1. In place of said factors is a messy past full of uncomfortable topics, including realistic gang violence, life under the threat of it, and conversing about suicide - and this is just the main protagonist's story.
  2. It is possible to forget about the above and just take the characters at face value in the present day (especially since some of it is stored in an ancillary fanfic), but the mod's more iconic bits in the main story involve opponents famous for Psychological Horror and/or Vulgar Humor. Not exactly something that will woo advertisers.
  3. HoloFunk is the only popular mod for which any derivative work would require adhering to an external fan work policy for the source media. As a result, while the odds of this are slim, the worst-case scenario for a monumental mistake in the final product could be a full-on channel strike, not just the usual mob of angry fans.
  4. Boyfriend and Girlfriend get even more fanon relatives in this mod, which would make for an awkward conversation.

Miscellaneous

Player and Girlfriend will be married in a future episode, but not until The Full-Ass Game releases.

Girlfriend did accept Player's proposal in "Origin of Demon Girlfriend", but they haven't brought it up again. Maybe it's because they're waiting a little while before they get the marriage underway. There are many fanmade interpretations of how the wedding would go, but I think that, unlike Girlfriend's demon form, GameToons will wait a little while until the full release is out to incorporate the wedding into FNFL.
