Vs. Flippy: Flipped Out! is a Friday Night Funkin' Game Mod created by j0nnytest. It is a crossover with Happy Tree Friends, and the second mod featuring Flippy.

Boyfriend and Girlfriend come back to an old forest where Boyfriend's family went camping. In that same forest, Flippy and Flaky are looking for something in the woods when suddenly, the feedback from Boyfriend's mic being too close to the speakers accidentally triggers Flippy's PTSD. Let's hope nothing bad happens to them...

This mod provides examples of:

• Adaptational Location Change:
  • Instead of the Sugar Bowl world of Happy Tree Friends, the main week takes place in a forest where Boyfriend used to go camping with his family.
  • Similarly, the songs featuring Minus Fliqpy take place in a treehouse with no obvious connections to the Happy Tree Friends universe.
• Adaptational Modesty:
  • In the main week, Girlfriend forgoes her usual red dress for a red shirt, jean shorts and leggings.
  • Flippy overlaps this with Barefoot Cartoon Animal in the main week. Unlike his home series, where he wears a shirt but doesn't wear pants, he wears his army jacket and a pair of pants, but no shoes.
  • Flaky overlaps this with Fully-Dressed Cartoon Animal. Instead of being a naked Funny Animal like in canon, Flaky wears a tan sweater dress, white knee-high stockings, and greyish black shoes.
• Black Eyes of Evil: The songs "Overkill" and "Fallout" show Fliqpy's eyes completely black.
• Blood-Splattered Warrior: In-between "Triggered" and "Slaughter", Flippy killed someone, and can be seen coated in their blood.
• Chained by Fashion: Minus Flippy has a cross of chains on his chest, similar to Corrupted Pico.
• Decomposite Character: Minus Flippy is technically split into two characters. The larger Minus Flippy is only known as that moniker, while the smaller Minus Flippy is called "Junior", and is apparently Minus Flippy's son. No, seriously.
• Evil Is Bigger: Minus Flippy towers over Minus BF and Minus GF, to the point where the treehouse they're standing on is at eye level with Flippy himself.
• Evil Sounds Deep: Played entirely straight in this mod, as Fliqpy's voice takes on an almost demonic quality, having been sampled straight from voice actor and HTF creator Aubrey Ankrum's impressive enraged screams and laughter in the original series.
• Fully-Dressed Cartoon Animal: Minus Flippy is the most fully dressed out of all of his counterparts, wearing a black and gray jacket over a dark green shirt, black pants, and grey shoes.
• Half-Dressed Cartoon Animal: Classic Fliqpy wears his army jacket but no pants, like in his home series.
• Interface Screw: During certain songs, the arrows are covered in blood and flash red instead of their usual colors.
• More Teeth than the Osmond Family: Minus Fliqpy's Slasher Smile underneath his mask has a lot of razor sharp teeth.
• Once More, with Clarity: During "Overkill" in the dev build, Fliqpy appears to have fully succumbed to his war-torn wild-man persona and is thrashing around at nothing ready to tear someone apart. During "Fallout" however, a new sprite is added to show that he's struggling against his gentler side's attempts to hold him back.
• Red Eyes, Take Warning:
  • Fliqpy's health icons sport glowing red eyes if the player's health falls below a certain level. His sprites can also be seen with glowing, red eyes in the songs "Overkill" and "Fallout".
  • Minus Flippy and KAPOW Flippy have glowing, red eyes as a sign of how bloodthirsty they are.
• Schmuck Bait:
  • At the end of "Triggered", Flippy sends out four grenade notes. Pressing them will result in the player's health getting reduced drastically, and likely cause a Game Over.
  • At the two-minute mark of "Overkill", the vocals become easier, and the music abruptly ends, making the player think it's all over... until Fliqpy starts the song again with the same intensity as before.
• Shell-Shocked Veteran: Flippy's post-traumatic stress, while initially portrayed as an interesting kill method in Happy Tree Friends, is deconstructed in this mod, where the opening cutscene shows him seeing BF as another Tiger Soldier Flippy had to face. In addition, during the song "KAPOW", the Tiger Soldier deliberately has Boyfriend's vocals to showcase how Flippy is still trapped in the war.
• Ship Sinking: While it was speculated after Flaky was shown to be in the mod that she and Flippy were going to be together, the devs shot that rumor down by saying that they’re Just Friends.
• Shout-Out: The song "Compass" contains a Leitmotif of "Foolhardy".
• Skyward Scream: Fliqpy's left pose in "Triggered" and "Slaughter", as well as his up pose in "Overkill" and "Fallout" has him roar into the sky.
• Stock Slasher: Minus Flippy wears a blood-spattered hockey mask, is very tall, and wields a bloodstained axe.
• Suddenly Voiced:
  • In his home series, Flippy in his normal state could only make noises with the occasional audible English. In the dev build, he is fully capable of speaking clear English. Averted with Fliqpy, who can only growl and laugh, like in canon.
  • Similarly, Flaky is able to talk in the dev build rather than make noises like in HTF.
