WMG / Ben 10 (2016)

Go To

Kevin's aliens are genetic hybrids between Ben's 10 main aliens and other aliens Ben has turned into in other continuities
  • Bashmouth = Blitzwolfer + Rath
  • Dark Matter = Grey Matter + Jury Rigg
  • Rush = XLR8 + Crashhopper
  • Bootleg = Upgrade + Echo Echo
  • Hot Shot = Heatblast + Swampfire
  • Skunkmoth = Stinkfly + Eatle
The reboot takes place in one of the alternate dimensions from the main series
The concept of alternate universes isn't new to the Ben 10 franchises at all. It was introduced with the Generator Rex crossover and expanded upon in Ben 10: Omniverse. Many of these alternate dimensions have their own Ben, so it's possible that this is yet another parallel universe tangent to that of Ben Prime.

Alternatively, it's an alteration of the main series.
In Omniverse, the Celestialsapiens mention their doings being responsible for several changes throughout the universe, such as changes in looks and voices over the franchise. What if someone screwed with the old universe to make this one? Which means...

Instead of a re-reboot, the universe will be 'put back' later on.
When Cartoon Network gets over its Teen Titans Go obsession, a season finale will have a person or thing remake the universe, similar to the last time such a thing happened (cue flashbacks to the cast with older designs hit by a World-Wrecking Wave and when it clears, the world looks like this one.)

This will be the Franchise Killer for Ben 10.
This reboot has a 2.5/10 rating on IMDb and is considered to have less quality than the original series it's based on.
  • I doubt it. Regardless of the franchise's reputation in the United States, it's incredibly popular overseas with franchise merchandise currently raking in over 4 billion dollars.
  • Ben 10, like Transformers, has had enough people make this prediction that the wiki has its own Ruined FOREVER page.

There will be flashback episodes to ben getting the Omnitrix and meeting various foes
  • Know that the series has got its footing after Omni-tricked, they can do proper introduction episodes for Animo, Zombozo and other characters brought out from nowhere and show how this Ben got his Omnitrix

Vulkanus will be the new third member of the Bounty Hunters
It makes too much sense. Now that Tetrax has defected and double-crossed the other two, it would be all but necessary for someone like Vulkanus to step in, since he and Sixsix frequently partnered up in the original series.)

An episode will feature this version of Ben meeting the Ben from Alien Force, Ultimate Alien, or Omniverse.
Vilgax will make an appearance as well, prompting Teen!Ben to get upset over the fact that they sound similar. Or Reboot!Ben will panic over the fact that he's going to sound like Vilgax in the future. Either one works.
  • Or Reboot!Ben will mistake Original!Ben For Vilgax at first

This series will be a mix of the original, and sequel series
They already introduced characters from later series as younger versions of themselves, not to mention that overflow, an Expy of Waterhazard with the same species, is part of the original ten aliens. We could start seeing younger versions of the Plumbers' kids and or rook. and maybe cameos of other Man of Action series like Rex

Next season will take place after Summer Vacation
Ben said "best summer ever" at the end of season 1, and continuing the series into elementary school will be a big difference from the original show.
  • Jossed.
  • This show appears to be taking place in some kind of neverending summer.

In a future episode, Ben will turn into Eon.
We already got Gax during Omni-tricked. Maybe it was meant to be the start of a Running Gag involving Ben turning into his worst enemies' alien species.

For an episode, the show will feature art-styles from the previous series
Steam Smythe will use an artifact to make everything look retro and steampunk. Ben will try to stop him, causing the item to malfunction and make the world look like it came out of the Original Series. The rest of the episode will have the world continuously shifting between all the different art-styles we've seen before, including CGI and live-action.

Ben will comment that it might look cool how he, Gwen and everything else looks like, but it's old and some other people enjoy something new, shutting up Steam Smythe at his constant blabbering of hating the modern world.

There will be a crossover with Steven Universe
The reboot seems light-hearted enough for that. Plus, we've already seen the characters in several episodes having the same starry-eyed look Steven has.

Some more villains from the previous series will be reintroduced.
Either Kevin 11 or Albedo as an evil counterpart to Ben, The Vreedle Brothers because they are idiots suited to the reboot.

In a new episode, Ben will turn into Rath.
He will start by yelling "Lemme tell ya somethin', Vilgax."
  • And getting John DiMaggion to voice him is not optional.
  • Professor Paradox
  • Malware
  • Psyphon
  • Blukic & Driba
  • Ignacius Baumann
  • Argit
  • Albedo
  • Verdona
  • Feedback
  • A younger version of Julie (who will become Ben's love interest as a way of apologizing to the people angry over the clumsy Ship Sinking they were subjected to in Omniverse)
  • A younger version of Rook (who still has his bi'nthak and therefore still hasn't been named yet)
    • In Ben's daydream in "Drive You Crazy", there's a blue racer whose outfit matches Rook's face lines and Proto-Armor. Maybe foreshadowing his appearance in a future episode?
  • For something really unexpected, classic continuity Ben Tennyson himself, via cross-time shenanigans. Bonus points if he even lampshades his own unexpectedness.
    • Bonus points if Reboot!Ben acknowledges the events of "Ben Again and Again" to compare how crazy the situation is with Classic!Ben, as well as showing he already dealt with reality-altering messes before.

Todd and Sally will get their own episode
And probably end with at least one of them realizing the connection between their misfortunes.
  • The episode "Hole in 10" already had Sally complaining to an agreeing Todd that every time Ben shows up, "danger follows, then it's another three doctors appointments!". So they at least know that Ben is linked to the things ruining their dates. We still have yet to see them with their own episode though.
  • Unless they think that Diamondhead and Ben are two completely different characters.
    • At this point in the series (unless it happened off-screen), Diamondhead appeared in the same place as them only once during "Ben 24hrs", and it was to fix Adrenaland after their date was ruined, yet Sally still stated that he was responsible for their problems at the minigolf course. It's more likely they know Ben and his aliens are the same person, but simply brush it off like everyone in the reboot does.

Maurice is meant to be an Expy of Dr. Drakken.
Bumbling mad scientist? Check. Voiced by John DiMaggio? Check. Comes up with bizarre schemes? Check.

Generator Rex will have another crossover with this series
It would be an alternate universe to the main series, but it will be the 'sequel' to Ben 10/Generator Rex: Heroes United.

The Cascan (Overflow's species) are actually a subspecies of Orishan (Water Hazard's species)
It just makes too much sense.
  • There's a slight issue with that, they come from different planets who are polar opposites: Cascareau is a planet full of water while Kiusana is mostly a desert planet, and Cascareau is full of pirates, while Kiusana mostly has village shamans and rockstars. Them being subspecies is possible but kinda hard to envision with that kind of info.
  • Maybe the Cascan are native to Kiusana but migrated en mass to Cascareau after some big war between the two races over who was superior?
Alternatively, the Cascans are actually Chinese dragon aliens with robotic armors
Just like NRG in the classic continuity.
  • Dragons like to keep treasures, so the 'pirate' thing works.

Glitch is going to help Ben unlock more aliens

Should Professor Paradox appear, he'll essentially be the same Paradox we knew from the previous shows rather than an alternate reboot counterpart.
Given he is detached from time itself, it would make sense he is immune from the effects of a series reboot.
Glitch will make the aliens come out of the Omnitrix
Knowing that he can manipulate the Omnitrix, maybe he can make them come out using some of Ben’s DNA.
The show is actually a cartoon made inside the original continuity.
And as a Take That Us moment, the finale will end with the real Ben, along with his friends mocking the inaccurate portrayal of themselves.
  • Doubt so, the franchise always made in-universe cartoons about Ben's aliens over-the-top and blatantly parodies for Ben to get offended over and to show how his fans will believe anything. Considering the amount of actual effort put into the reboot unlike "Super Alien Hero Buddy Adventures" or OV's Tokusatsu-style show about Ben, this would need to be a very elaborate Show Within a Show for the original continuity, if not one of the alternate universes Omniverse talks about.
    • I disagree, "Super Alien Hero Buddy Adventures" was loosely based on the sightings of Ben in Alien Form, while the other show was based more on the legend of Ben passed by word of mouth across the galaxy, it's possible this could be a cartoon made on earth based on Ben, given that he's a celebrity and superhero, with a combination of research failure and embellishment causing the discrepancies between the reboot and "reality".

Azmuth was the one to hire Sixsix, Kraab and Tetrax to keep Vil from forming Vilgax again.
The beeping of the Omnitrix in "Omni-tricked" was an alarm to alert Azmuth if Vil was coming closer to the device to take back his powers. So he paid the bounty hunters to prevent it, or stop the conqueror if they were too late. It would be the only reason why, despite the three of them being amoral mercenaries, they cared about it.

Vilgax helped Azmuth build the Omnitrix.
It's why he knows so much about it, and how Azmuth was able to strip Vilgax of his powers.
  • Surprisingly enough, confirmed!

Forever Knight is the dentist from "Screamcatcher" that helped Ben with his cavity.

They have the same facial shape, same VA and are the only two characters to share those. It also helps that the dentist is an adventurer with many artifacts in his cabinet, he could've gotten some of those using his technology and armor.

(This also means that Forever Knight has a Ph.D. in dentistry with the dental insurance included for any of his non-robotic employees).

Julie, Ship and/or Bezel will come back
Julie will be Ben's love interest and sidekick rather than girlfriend, since he's still a kid. Bezel will also give Ship to Julie and give Upgrade back to Ben.
  • If so, then it's possible Julie bonds with Ben over Glitch as well, with Glitch bonding with Ship as he would've inherited of Ben's love of pets.

What the other aliens would have in their Omni-Enhanced/Omni-Kix/Omni-Naut forms
Well, since all aliens from the Classic Continuity (every other show) are confirmed to exist in the Reboot Continuity's Omnitrix...
  • Upgrade:
    • Omni-Enhanced: Purple portions of body turn electric blue, and black portions become rock. Gains the ability to control electricity and make machines come to life as extensions of his own body.
    • Omni-Kix: Omni-Kix armour becomes a separate robotic body who acts alongside Upgrade, who can merge with it to enhance its abilities tenfold.
    • Omni-Naut:
  • Grey Matter:
  • Wildvine:
    • Omni-Kix: Gets a tree-like super suit that has a resemblance to Ultimate Swampfire. Becomes able to create and control robotic plant minions, as well as use a set of tentacles on his legs (similar to his original series appearance) to hover.
    • Omni-Naut: Basically Omni-Kix form with some additional features, namely electrified tentacles.
  • Omni-Kix Overflow: Gains a flowing Surfer Dude mane made of water and a generator on his back. Water abilities are supplemented by a Lightning/Fire Juxtaposition, as well as being able to hover on a F.L.U.D.D.-esque water torrent.
  • Gax:
    • Omni-Enhanced: Gains a gauntlet and armour similar to Vilgax's Alien Force appearance. Becomes able to project a sword and shield out of energy, and physical strength is increased.
    • Omni-Kix: Regresses into pre-rebuilding Vilgax-like form, but gets into a Dagon-esque mech which has Combat Tentacles, Flight, a Death Ray, and a cloaking field.
  • Wildmutt:
    • Omni-Enhanced: Rock-covered paws and spikes, and has a tube-like visor around where his eyes would be able. Is able to see thanks to the visor, and becomes more bipedal and even stronger and more agile.
    • Omni-Kix: Gains large spikes and tail similar to Ultimate Wildmutt. In addition to enhanced strength, agility and endurance, he can also now shoot his spikes and use wheels in his feet for brief bursts of Super-Speed.
  • Ripjaws:
    • Omni-Enhanced: Gains Xenomorph Xerox armour with an extendable jaw and a additional jaw on his tongue. Can use lure to hypnotise enemies, has Super-Strength, and is able to absorb water molecules in the air to survive on land longer.
    • Omni-Kix: Omni-Kix armour resembles a diving suit, and gets external set of teeth and lure. No need for water anymore (since armour just pumps it into him) and can fly like he's underwater.
  • Ghostfreak:
  • Eye Guy:
    • Omni-Enhanced: All parts aside from eyes become encased in Omni-Enhanced rock, eyes turn electric blue and spark. Can fire electricity and Technicolor Fire from eyes, as well as use Vein-o-Vision to detect hidden enemies.
    • Omni-Kix: Eyes become encased in mirrors, which enables Beam Spam attacks and X-Ray Vision. Can also emit sonic blasts from his ears.
  • Way Big:
    • Omni-Enhanced: Gets electrically armoured fists and a chestplate similar to Ultraman Zero. Grows slightly to around 250 feet, and becomes able to create electric energy balls.
    • Omni-Kix: Gains Ultraman Zero Darkness-esque armour and Casting a Shadow abilities.
  • Omni-Enhanced Rath: Upper skull is torn away, with Omni-Enhanced energy covering his brain. Becomes calmer and smarter, and gets one extra claw on each hand.
  • Omni-Enhanced Humungousaur: Gains a Ultimate-Humungousar Omni-Enhanced rock backplate and helmet. Able to shoot missiles from his hands and cause a shockwave clap.
  • Omni-Enhanced Jetray: Gets a Jet Pack and helmet, giving enhanced speed and durability. Becomes able to walk more upright and gets a Blade Below the Shoulder on both arms.
  • Omni-Enhanced Goop: Saucer merges with body and legs disappear, replaced by Flight. Enhanced strength and speed, and can split up into smaller goo-saucer hybrids that all act under one Hive Mind.
  • Omni-Enhanced Slapback: Completely covered in Omni-Enhanced rock and energy, making him taller and looking a little bit like Ditto. Becomes able to ride on a hoverboard made of energy and has a longer reach.

Serena and Bellicus are suppressing Alien X’s power so that the others can defeat him more easily.
  • That would explain why Alien X is weaker but more in control. They didn’t want him to destroy everything so they made him weaker while preventing him from changing forms, thus allowing him to be overwhelmed by the various Omnitrix wielders. As for why they didn’t just keep him in place forever, they probably knew that would take a ton of mental endurance to keep from disagreeing and allowing the Ben in control to cast a vote in his favor and wreak true havoc on the multiverse, so they just went for Suicide by Cop.

The high override was controlling his own people similarly to how he was controlling Ben.
This was why they were so easy for Vilgax to defeat—most of them didn’t want to fight back.
