Hello! I'm Dookamatic. She/they, please. I'm starting to get the hang of this whole TV Tropes thing, and I love scouring the wiki and discovering new topics to look into. I'm a bit more active in the forums, so I might see one of you there.
Favorite media:
- Anime: Hellsing, Popee the Performer
- Animated films: The Prince of Egypt (the one that I Entry Pimp the hardest), Coraline, Wolfwalkers, The Breadwinner (not that one), Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, and How to Train Your Dragon
- Comic strips: Calvin and Hobbes, Garfield
- Literature: Big Nate, Maus, Barefoot Gen (I don't read very much)
- Music: Gorillaz, System of a Down, The Longest Johns
- Western Animation: Bluey, Total Drama, Hilda, Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, Bob's Burgers and 6teen
- Web Animation: Eddsworld, Team Fabulous 2, DaThings
- Video games: Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Portal, Papers, Please, Team Fortress 2, Overcooked!, Moving Out, Minecraft, and Neko Atsume
Guilty pleasure media:
- Animated films: The Road to El Dorado (the Mighty Whitey plot aged it like milk and the characters aren't fleshed out enough, but the jokes are mostly funny and the animation is gorgeous)
- Western Animation: Chop Socky Chooks (the character designs are atrocious but still has a lot of Narm Charm), Barbie (a lot of fond memories and banger songs, but a bit too immature), and The Oblongs (some of the jokes aged horribly but others are still genuinely funny)
- Web Animation: Peepoodo & the Super Fuck Friends (too much Toilet Humor for my tastes, but likeable characters and good lessons), Helluva Boss (the writing is so bad, it loops back around to being funny), and Happy Tree Friends (very gimmicky and is full of ableist stereotypes, but still nostalgic)
- Video Games: Webkinz (a bit of a money sink, but the games are fun and the pets are cute), and Animal Jam (also a money sink and also less fun than Webkinz, but still nostalgic)

Tropes that apply to me:
- Attention Deficit Creator Disorder: I seldom finish a project.
- Creator Thumbprint: All of the characters I draw have heart shaped highlights in their eyes.
- Does Not Like Spam: I hate mushrooms, tomatoes, sashimi, and green beans.
- Meganekko: Downplayed. I'm a part-time eyeglass wearer.
- Furries Are Easier to Draw: Downplayed. I can draw humans just fine, but furries are more fun to design.
- Girls Love Chocolate: Guilty as charged.
- Limited Wardrobe: I tend to wear a a graphic t-shirt and jeans with my favorite hoodie tied around my waist. You can tell pretty easily which outfits are my favorites.
- Older Than They Look: I was once charged for a child's buffet meal, even though I was 19 at the time.
- Picky Eater: A lot less so than before, but still. I tend to eat the same things again and again.
- Signature Headgear: I never leave the house without my cat beanie.
- Self-Fanservice: I tend to draw my favorite characters in ways that make them more appealing to me personally. Sometimes this will include more voluminous hair, thicker thighs and wider hips, and sometimes a bit more meat on the bones.
- Sweet and Sour Grapes: I lost an earring from a pair that I'd had for nearly my whole life, and down a shower drain no less. After a little bit of sulking, I realized that it was a good opportunity to invest in some more pairs that were more of my personal style. A little while later, once I'd forgotten about the earring I'd lost, I found out that my earring hadn't been lost down the shower drain, but it had fallen somewhere on the bathroom floor instead. In the end, I learned how to take better care of my earrings, but I still got my earring back for sentimental purposes. Everybody wins.
- Take a Third Option: Once for a music appreciation class, I had to write an essay about an album that was released before June of 2022. I really wanted to write about the, at the time, new album from The Longest Johns called "Smoke and Oakum," but the trouble was that it was released in January of that year. My choice was either write about an album I really liked and take a 25 point hit on a 100 point assignment, or write about Joji's recent album, which I didn't care nearly as much about. The answer? Write about The Dreadnoughts' album "Roll And Go," which was released in June of 2022.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Toss up between chicken tenders, pistachios, and cheeseburgers.
