Trivia / Tales of the World

Go To

  • Actor Allusion: Kanonno Earhart is voiced by Kanae Itō, who also voiced another golden-eyed pink-haired girl.
  • Playing Against Type: Radiant Mythology is one of the rare games where Liam O'Brien (Stahn) plays a character that is neither evil or depressed.
    • In true Tales style, Lazaris in RM3 is voiced by Satomi Sato. That Satomi Sato.
  • The third entry of Radiant Mythology series is notable for giving every playable characters Mystic Artes. Yes, everyone. Some trivias regarding the selections and implementations:
    • Tales of Phantasia cast has their default Mystic Artes from Narikiri Dungeon X, except Cless who uses his signature Dark Blade.
    • The original Tales of Destiny cast uses either their Level 1 or level 2 Blast Calibers from the remake.
    • For Tales of Eternia, Reid uses Aurora Wall only, Farah has Fire Dragon Rampage, both Keele and Meredy summon High Craymels of their respective planets, and Celsius has Farah's other Mystic Arte that they shared in original game.
    • For Tales of Destiny 2: Kyle and Judas use the Mystic Artes that are derived from their fourth Arcane Artes (Judas even has his extension), while Loni's is from his third. In RM2, Reala's Aqua Rimms used Harold's incantation instead of her own, though this was fixed in RM3. Harold's Crazy Comet extension is named as its final move, Princess of Mermaid.
    • Sheena uses her Dummied Out Summon: Heart, which summons Corrine/Verius instead of Quasi Seal from the sequel.
    • The Fusion Force Finalities of Tales of Rebirth cast have been tweaked so that they can be performed by one person. This leads to Ryuuko Metsugazannote  being renamed to Ryuuko Metsugajinnote  because it's used by Annie of all people.
    • Tales of Legendia cast has their Dummied Out Sacred Eres from the original game. Except Senel who received a different one in Tales of Versus before, this is the first time ever Legendia characters have Limit Break of some sort.
    • Tales of the Tempest: Caius transforms into his Lycanth form and uses its basic attacks. Rubia's incantation of Sacred Shine is different from Raine's in RM3, even though the two used the same exact quote in the previous game.
    • Anise have the extended version of her Final Fury.
    • Tales of Innocence cast uses their Arca Mystic Artes without transforming into their past selves. Spada's in particular was extensively redone because he was a Talking Weapon, and its moves were impossible to do by a human.
    • Estelle's Sacred Penance is recolored so that it's pink-tinted in RM3. It's done to differ hers from Philia's.
    • Tales of Graces: Both Asbel and Sophie have their level 1 Blast Calibers, whereas Cheria uses her level 2.
  • No Dub for You: Tales of Link was released without a dub.
  • No Export for You: All of the games in typical Tales of fashion, save the first Radiant Mythology game and Tales of Link, have not been localized, although all three Kanonnos, to name a few elements, have appeared in the global version of Link nonetheless.
