Trivia / Dream 9: Super Collaboration Special!!

Go To

  • Acting for Two:
  • Late Export for You: The special was never officially licensed for overseas distribution which is odd as Funimation does hold the rights to Dragon Ball, One Piece and Toriko. It's speculated that lack of sales for Toriko scared FUNi away from dubbing it since he has such a big presence in the special and most who only came for Dragon Ball and One Piece either wouldn't care or know who these other characters are. Ten years later, the special received a western release in 2023, airing on Toonami. Unfortunately, though, it was only the One Piece half, skipping the Toriko half entirely due to that series's dub being Cut Short.
  • The Original Darrin:
    • After being replaced by Dafnis Fernández for most of his appearances, Gabriel Basurto returns to voice Roronoa Zoro since 17 years ago last time in 4Kids version.
    • Ricardo Burst reprises Mr. Satan after last voicing him in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods since 10 years ago.
    • Salvador Delgado also reprises World Tournament Announcer after 23 years of not dubbing the character since Dragon Ball GT and not having resumed it in Dragon Ball Z Kai The Final Chapters because he was very busy on that occasion.
  • The Other Darrin: In the Latin American Spanish dub, Luffy is voiced by Desireé González, instead of Mireya Mendoza, as the latter quit the role due to her moving to the U.S. in order to direct Iñaki Godoy (as Luffy)'s voice acting to Spanish in the live-action adaptation of One Piece (2023).
  • Role Reprise: For the English dub and Latin American Spanish dub, the Toriko characters are voiced by their VAs from the cancelled Funimation dub of that series.
