Trivia / Dream

  • Approval of God: Countless fans have made Dream-related content that has gotten the approval of the man himself or one of his friends.
  • Ascended Fanon:
    • The most common artist's rendition of Dream is with dirty blond hairnote , a green hoodie, and a White Mask of Doom with his profile pic's smile. When Dream's official Youtooz figure was released, it was given that exact same design. And later, when Dream himself appeared in MrBeast's edition of YouTube Rewind 2020, he wore a similar design, with a lime green hoodie and the iconic mask.
    • On occasion, Dream's fans have posted on his subreddit with neat tricks that a clever player might be able to use to their advantage in a pinch. On multiple occasions, Dream has noticed these tricks and taken notes, employing them during his bouts with the hunters.
  • Colbert Bump: All of Dream's friends qualify, but most notable is BadBoyHalo, who had a previously-established fanbase from his collabs with Skeppy but skyrocketed in popularity due to his role in the Manhunts.
  • Follow the Leader: Dream's Minecraft Manhunt series have influenced a new genre of Minecraft videos. People all over YouTube made their own versions of Minecraft Manhunt thanks to Dream.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Most of Dream's old videos were deleted by himself; this led people to reupload his old videos back to YouTube, such as his 1000 subscribers video.
  • Missing Episode: Dream took down the Manhunt video featuring Notch after the latter made some troublesome remarks on his social media.
  • Role-Ending Misdemeanor: His speedrun of Minecraft 1.16 landed him fifth place in the records (it was last seen at around 14th place), and could have been a world record if not for an unlucky Eye of Ender break. However, some in the speedrunning community sounded the alarm due to how many Ender Pearls he got from bartering with Piglins, something that was deemed incredibly unlikely. After the speedrun.com mods reviewed his run, they claimed that Dream had been playing a modified client that greatly boosted the rates at which Piglins gave Ender Pearls, among other things. This resulted in the mods removing the speedrun and Dream becoming a pariah among the speedrunning community, not helped by his virulent defense against the mods before admitting several months later that he had indeed cheated (although by his account, it was an accident; he claims he used a mod to boost his Ender Pearl rates for challenge videos and was unaware that it was still on during his serious speedrun).
  • Sleeper Hit: The first-ever Manhunt and its rematch were originally just two of many Minecraft challenge videos, with Dream not planning to make any more. As one can see by the rest of this page, however, Manhunt became so popular that it's since defined his channel.
  • What Could Have Been: SMP members Punz, Karl Jacobs, and Callahan were also considered for the role of the fifth hunter before it was confirmed to be Awesamdude.
